So far so good! The woman behind the desk (girl) was very friendly and saw our names and heard us…read morespeaking English to each other so she opened our conversation in English, but when I spoke to her in French she obliged by continuing the conversation in French. The room is a decent size by French hotel standards all modern and equipped with a cute pebble-tiled shower and a traditional French toilet closet. The hotel is set back from the main road so we didn't have any road noise from the main road that was only a block away, but the rooms don't really have any view of which to speak. Breakfast was a rip-off at an additional €9,50 each, but it was a very typical continental breakfast (coffee, juice, corn flakes, bread, soft cheese, croissants, cakes, cookies, yogurts, fruit, sandwich meats, and hard-boiled eggs) but we would have had to stay there hours to get value, and the amount of sugar in the room was incredible! The atmosphere in the breakfast room was pretty stuffy too (maybe early-mornings?) I doubt we'll ever appreciate French petit déjeuner...
