And whomever was responsible at your company for repairing our new and broken sofa absolutely shoved dirty rugs underneath to avoid repairing it and to deceivingly hide the unrepaired damage from us. I was able to find a photo we snapped when we discovered it. I wish we had taken more and recorded video as we pulled out the rugs. Underneath these newer rugs were dirty rugs. My review stands as a PSA to anyone considering buying furniture from you.

They came out and it turned out the fuse switch was off! I felt a bit silly, but the repair person they sent out was very nice and said it wasn't the first time that this has occurred with customers. He didn't charge me anything. Recently our washing machine agitator was in need of repair. I knew which parts I needed and went to Gordies. The lady there was very helpful and got the parts I needed. They were only $3, all I had was my debit card. She said, next time I was by, just bring in cash, and handed me the items. That's unheard of these days! We almost had it figured out, but ran into a snag, and we went back with the agitator and there was a worker there that showed us how to do what we needed to do, and we paid the $3 we owed them. Gordies store isn't anything modern, it's an older building, but their prices are very reasonable and a fair selection of items to choose from (refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers.) Next time I need an appliance, they are first on our list as they've always been.

All I needed was for my dryer to be side-vented; they said it would be no more than seventy-five…read morebucks. When I picked it up, they said they changed the belt and the felt (there is no felt in that dryer), they charged me a full hundred. Now my dryer overheats and will not work. On top of that, the venting job was shotty at best. They used household aluminum foil and did not re-affix the appliance properly. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS WITH YOUR PROPERTY.

I called Jeff, and just two days later he had a crew out to take a look. Jon and Josh were all over it and even had to climb up into an extremely hot attic area to check the indoor part of the system. And guess what? He found a deflated birthday balloon had somehow gotten sucked in who knows how long ago! (We've only been here a year). So remove that, do a routine maintenance on the system, and Viola'! For a couple of hundred bucks we're back in business. So that's about the overall business, outstanding service, and awesome low cost. I hasten to add that due to an illness in the family my wife has been staying up all night and cat napping when she can. She was sound asleep when Jeff and Josh arrived so I asked if they could keep their voices down. They talked in whispers and literally tip-toed through the house. First the good, there was quite a few nice pieces of furniture in the store and they also had a pretty decent selection of closeout items. The new items were nice, but the prices were so so. Now the bad. The store advertises that they have many name brand appliances. I only saw a minor selection of two or three brands. The store also has some home electronics like TVs..and well...that's just about it. They have a handful of decent TVs for sale and a spattering of other home entertainment appliances. I think this store would do much better if it cut out the TV "section" and either greatly expanded or did away with the appliances and concentrate on the furniture end of their business.
