I used to have longer hair and recently cut it and shaved the sides and the back. This was my first ever visit to a barbershop. Prior to today, I had gone to hair salons for 30 years. Needless to say, I had some pictures from Pinterest but really didn't know what I wanted. Jahkim was a professional from the moment I entered the shop. He took his time, explaining how shapeups are different for men and women given different facial shape and structures and I shared I didn't want a style for lack of a better term that was "overly masculine". Going off of that, Jahkim gave me a perfect style. Beyond that, he gave me a design that I didn't even show him which I had saved to my Pinterest board and was interested in but hadn't "built myself up to" yet. He shaved the design in (a heart) and it was literally perfect! Beyond just the shapeup and design, Jahkim is an awesome human being. He's genuine and sincere and just keeps it 1000% real with the conversations and everything else. I definitely have a new barber to go to and could not be happier with the way things turned out!

They're friendly, courteous, professional and cultural. It's not just the haircut, it's the experience! I like the fact of the annual free haircuts from the Boys and Girls club next store. It feels like my Brooklyn days. Feels like I found a new "go to" spot!
