3 years ago, I needed a profile picture for LinkedIn, and was having trouble taking a picture that gave off a "professional" vibe. All the test photos I uploaded to Photofeeler, a photo-ranking service, did poorly - it was clear I needed help. So I booked a portrait session with Aaron. Throughout the entire session, he was extremely professional, caring, and detail-oriented. All the photos he took were great, and one in particular was amazing (ranked the highest out of all my photos on Photofeeler). I genuinely believe were it not for Aaron's prowess behind the camera, I would not have landed as many interviews as I did. Thank you for helping me on the job hunt Aaron! read more

The family and I were heading towards the Scottsdale area to spend Easter. Figured since we hadn't had a family shoot in a while that we try and book something while we were up here. Trusty Yelp pointed me to a few finalists, and Aaron Kes was one of a few who was willing to take a job on Easter Sunday. Aaron graciosuly agreed to meet us in North Scottsdale, and arrived promptly. Being a former photog myself, I'm always interested to talk gear. No doubt Aaron has the newest and, in my opinion, the best gear. The Canon 5D III paired with the 50L prime. Perfect combo, and the results were awesome and tack sharp. Aaron was patient with the family, especially the two little girls who were not feeling photogenic on this day. His style is more the traditional style so if you like classic and timeless, Aaron is your man. The finished product was prompt and came out very nice. His eye and technical skills are excellent, which showed up in the tough backlit tree shot attached below. That said, I would have liked to see a few more different perspectives in his shots, especially with the little ones and with Aaron being a tall guy. Lastly, Aaron is definitely a great value ($350 for family shots), which is an amazing deal coming from the SF Bay Area. Look no further - if you're in the Valley, book Aaron Kes. read more

Aaron Kes Photography - woops, yelp cut us off. we're on the far right! - Event Photography Near Me

I found Aaron on Facebook and so glad we took the chance on his services. Aaron shot my engagement photos in June and completely captured my vision. He also put my fiancé and I at ease during the shoot as he is so relaxed and personable yet so professional. We endured sweltering heat and a haboob but he still captured all of our shots! His webpage to view the proofs was great and easy to use. We received our order very quickly and the prints came out amazing. We so enjoyed working with Aaron that he will be shooting our reception in February as well! read more

I highly recommend Aaron Kes! When searching for a photographer we interviewed a few people. I saw Aaron's photo book at a wedding expo. His colors were bright, vibrant and fun! My husband loves candid pictures and pictures capturing real moments. (Don't get me wrong we still have all the traditional photos you expect) But we also got some pictures full of true expression and love! Aaron has a talent for capturing those personal moments. When we first meet him he told us one thing... On your wedding day, your photographer is the one person that will be with you most of the day. Hire someone that you vibe with or would enjoy having around you! Aaron was that person for us! He has done our engagement pictures, Christmas pictures and finally wedding pictures! Our wedding was originally scheduled for 03.21.20, five days before the world shut down. As we had to adjust, postpone and change to other dates, Aaron was our key vendor we would check with before changing. He worked with us, and almost 2 years from first meeting, and postponement we got to have the wedding of our dreams, with Aaron there to capture those moments! I can't sing enough praise about him! read more

Simply the BEST! We weren't quite sure what we wanted or how we wanted to accomplish our "mission" but, we needed engagement and wedding photos in short order. A photographer friend of mine recommended Aaron to me when I was looking (last minute, of course) for someone who would be willing to take a picture of my immediate family in the few days between Christmas and New Years 2014, as that was the only time that everyone would be all together, as a Christmas gift for my parents. As you can imagine, most photogs take their well-deserved vacations during that time. Aaron graciously made himself available to us a couple days after Christmas. We met him at the Scottsdale Civic Center park, where it was cold and crowded! Aaron stayed much longer than our allotted time with him, attempting to remember our names (10 of us!) making us feel comfortable, and ensuring that we got the group shots that we wanted. He took fantastic photos of us (each family/couple along with the entire group) and I appreciated his ability to listen to what we wanted as well as to know when to take creative control. Our photos are such a wonderful memory that we all treasure! I've been impressed as I've followed his Facebook posts since, and he has continued to improve his skills since our shoot with him. We had such a fantastic time with Aaron, that we will be working with him again to capture our family photos for our Christmas card this year. We are looking forward to it! read more

My fiancee and I recently took a trip to Sedona for our Engagement Shoot with Aaron. He was super professional, easy to work with, and very understanding. We went back and forth regarding scheduling with our fluctuating work schedule and then things coming up. He was very professional, fun, and laid back making the shoot effortless for us. I can't wait to get the photos in, because we already know they will be stunning after just seeing some samples while on the shoot. We liked him so much we're having him do our wedding without hesitation. I would recommend Aaron to everyone. One of the best photographers I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Thank you so much!! read more

Not only a fabulous photographer, but also a really cool guy. He took time to get to know us and ask us what we wanted from our wedding photos, and we got exactly what we were hoping for. We had a destination wedding in Phoenix as we live in WI, and he had great suggestions for our engagement pictures when came out to do some wedding planning for locations we otherwise wouldn't have known about. We both would recommend him to anyone. If you want a fun, laid back photographer who gets amazing shots that you don't even realize sometimes he's taking, go with Aaron. *My husband insisted I add this from him: "Fantastic guy. Great photographer. Even made me look good when I actually look like a bag of donuts." read more

Aaron was an amazing wedding photographer. We met with him a few times so he could get a feel for our event and the location of both the wedding/reception and where we were getting ready and did the first look. He did plenty of scouting and planning on his own time so when it came to day-of, he had a full plan and was efficient with our time and his. It was just really nice to not have to tell him what we wanted. We followed his lead and the photos turned out incredible. All the stars for this guy and would absolutely recommend him as a photographer for your wedding and/or special event. read more

I hired Aaron to shoot my family over the Christmas holiday as a gift to my mom! I found him on Yelp and was immediately impressed by his beautiful portfolio and as a Creative Director by trade, I have seen a lot of photographer portfolios in my life! I reached out to him and he was prompt and super nice, we spoke before I booked and again, he was so nice! I was a little nervous about the day of the shoot because neither my mom or my sister really like being photographed, but it went GREAT! Aaron put everyone at ease and was super easy going. The hour went quickly and we all had a wonderful time! He had great ideas for positioning everyone (there were 8 of us) and the final products are beautiful! Everyone loves them so much and I am so grateful that we were able to capture everyone in my parent's backyard, in such a comfortable environment. Thank you Aaron! I have a feeling I will hiring you again and again to come capture special moments when I am in AZ! Also he accepts Venmo which made things super easy! xx read more

Aaron is super personable and very easy to work with. My agency has hired him on a few occasions, and we've always been impressed with his work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aaron, and I'm sure I'll be working with him for many years to come. read more

You are gonna feel great about hiring Aaron. Not only is his demeanor humble, positive and thoughtful, but his work is always honest, well executed and delightful. I hired Aaron to work a high-end corporate shoot for a national client of mine, and his work was phenomenal, and some of the best I've ever seen. It's very challenging for a photographer to capture the interior of a dimly-lit venue, successfully employ flash without making it stand out as glaring or obnoxious. Aaron absolutely nailed the look, and made everyone on the team look terrific. Every time I see a photo of his on my Instagram feed, I automatically know that it's his work by its distinct look and spot-on execution. read more

Aaron is truly the best! I've had the pleasure of working with him 3 times - my sister's wedding, my wedding (he traveled to SF) and our recent newborn photo session. All of the pictures have turned out amazing, and furthermore he is a really nice guy. He puts everyone at ease and has some great tricks to get the perfect shot. We'll keep asking him to take pictures of us as long as he's willing! Could not recommend him enough for all your photo needs!! read more

Aaron shot our wedding and was absolutely phenomenal. He was extremely professional and fun throughout the entire process. He also took our engagement photos. Planning a wedding can be a lot of work and wrangling so many people together is a major headache. Aaron was the exception and took stress away by being so professional and friendly throughout the entire process. The end result was the best collection of photos my wife and I have ever had taken. read more

Aaron was the photographer for a wedding we were the florists for. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the photos Aaron took of our wedding. Our venue had many different areas with a wide array of colors. Aaron was able to capture them perfectly. Other books of photographers we saw of the same venue were washed out. Aaron was able to bring the colors of the environment around us to life. He was also easy to work with and made everyone around him feel comfortable with the camera. He was able to get great candid shots of all our family and friends. If you have the chance to work with Aaron to shoot your wedding, engagement, or any other photos, DO IT. My fiancé and I were so so lucky to have had the opportunity to have Aaron shoot our engagement photos while he was visiting San Francisco - and the photos are a dream! His ability to make you feel comfortable and natural on camera is uncanny. Being a photographer is not just about having a nice lens and taking a gillion shots so that a few work out - it's having the eye, and the ability to direct non-professional subjects. Aaron is amazing at both. Our photos really convey our love and the fun we have. Plus, Aaron is really easy to work with (we last-minute asked to have our dog participate in the shoot, and he was down). And one of the most impressive things about Aaron is his attention to detail and thoroughness in preparing for each shoot. Given that Aaron is based in Phoenix, I was just happy to have him shoot in SF locations that we knew about, and he suggested. But he went above and beyond in scouting locations and discovered places off the beaten path that I've never even heard of, and I've lived in SF for 7 years (and the fiancé for 10!). Really, if you haven't yet selected a wedding photographer - whether you're in Phoenix or SF or anywhere - talk to him. His eye and his ability to capture moments and create photographs that feel like you and look amazing, I mean, that's priceless. read more

Aaron is amazing from beginning to finish. From the moment we sat down with him for our first meeting, we immediately felt comfortable and at ease. Not only is he fun to be around and quickly feels like a close friend, his photos are amazing too! If you're looking for a clean modern style, Aaron is for you. He is extremely versatile and creative and will always take your needs and wants into account. Our wedding was the first time we used Aaron but we will definitely be using him for all our photography needs in the future. read more

Aaron is the best photographer. We used him for our engagement shoot and wedding and he was absolutely amazing! I would recommend him to everyone. Aaron is really good at capturing your true emotions and the raw moments. He also has a very unique perspective so his photos are unlike any others. You will get spectacular pictures from Aaron. Aaron Kes is fantastic. I recently had to start looking for a new job and needed some updated business photos for the search. He was recommended to me by a colleague and I decided to give him a shot. I couldn't be happier with the results. He was very easy to get a hold of and very quick to set up a time for the shoot. When I arrived, he asked some questions around the type of job that I was looking for and what I was looking to convey so that he could help figure out some unique but professional backgrounds. We went through a number of sets in various settings and poses. I thought the results were great and the turnaround time for the edited photos was fantastic. I was skeptical that they would be create such a large difference, but had multiple colleagues reach out to me to ask where I had them done as they stand out so well. I am very happy with the work that he has done and will gladly use him again in the future. I would highly recommend that you use him as well. read more

Aaron is AMAZING and you should hire him! He took our engagement photos in San Francisco and was great in every way. Aaron is easy to communicate with, extremely professional, has a great eye for photography, and will make you feel comfortable and at ease when being photographed. I thought it would be awkward, but Aaron made everything so easy. Most importantly, he took the most beautiful photographs and I cried instantly upon seeing them for the first time. He was able to capture our love, happiness, and weirdness so well. I can't say enough nice things about Aaron. Hire him and you will be very happy with your decision! THANK YOU, AARON!! :-) read more

I'm typically the type of person who shy's away from photographs - it's VERY rare that i like how i look in pictures, and the idea of taking posed photos sounds a bit like water torture to me. HOWEVER...Aaron was the exception to this rule, and his photos of me and my family hang all over the walls of my house, with my full support. The entire session that we had with him for photos was filled with laughter and collaboration, he listened to everything that we had to say, and the finished product were much better than anything I could hope for. My only regret is that we didn't know Aaron earlier in life, to have him photograph our wedding and capture other happy occasions as beautifully as he captured our family photos. read more

We hired Aaron to photograph our DEMO DAY event for SEED SPOT. We are an incubator for social entrepreneurs, and our event is the largest entrepreneurial event in Arizona with between 600 and 1,000 guests in attendance. There are over 15 presenters, tons of different areas to photograph and a lot going on. I can't imagine anyone capturing the event better than Aaron did! I gave him a list of shots that I really needed for our social media content and he executed the plan beautifully. He was so fun to work with, asked questions when he was confused and was an absolute joy to have around on such a stressful day. SEED SPOT (www.seedspot.org) highly recommends Aaron for any corporate event, performance or large gathering! Truly a fantastic job. read more

Aaron is absolutely amazing! My husband and I were in search of a wedding photographer that would capture our personal style candidly, but that was also reliable and creative. Aaron took our engagement session when he visited San Francisco, and it was such a memorable experience for us. I think everyone has different favored photo styles and looking for the perfect photographer for yourself can sometimes be difficult. To me, finding the perfect photographer means finding someone that has excellent photography skills, understands what you are looking for and can execute it at the shooting, and does the touch up in the styles you prefer. I love Aaron's style because it's natural, warming, yet very dreamy. During our sessions, Aaron was able to quickly adapt to the new environment(he is not from Cal and he is new to Big Sur) and find the perfect spots to pose us and shoot. New locations can sometimes be overwhelming and photographer might not be able to improvise well. The day we did our engagement was so hot and the sun was too bright, yet Aaron was able to manage the lighting and had us shoot comfortably. We walked down a short trail to the cliff and got some super nice pictures there with the sunset and panorama coastline in the back. We were very happy when we saw our photos and could not appreciate more for the nice job Aaron has done. Katie was assisting our shooting that day and she was being so helpful by holding up the white board and make sure we left nothing behind. I highly recommend Aaron. Aaron is someone you can trust and is very comfortable to work with. He pays attention to details, have all the gears he feels like he would need(I lose count how many times he quickly changed lens during the shoot), and he even scouted locations before the actual shooting on that day. The experience we had was awesome, lots of laughing and sweet moments. The pictures Aaron took for us are very impressive. The two adding together makes Aaron a fantastic photographer among all others. read more

I have had the luxury of having Aaron photograph several major events in my life. He was professional and capable during the shoots, putting everyone at ease and keeping things dynamic. And the pictures. They truly capture the feelings and emotions of the event. I'd highly recommend him. read more
