I was able to attend one of the featured plays at the Aarhus Theater, located in the downtown corridor, between the beautiful waterfront and the famous canal.
Upon arrival to the theater, one cannot help but be in awe of the incredible architecture. From the outside, the square features thousands of hand-laid bricks which must have taken multiple men months to put down and they made something that has lasted hundreds of years.
The structure itself is the largest in Denmark and was completed in 1900. After 115 years, the building is still an architectural marvel from the inside out :)

The production value was top notch, but they offered the play, as well all their productions (I believe) in Danish, as opposed to English or the original language used. It made the play really difficult to follow and got in the way of enjoying it fully, though my Danish boyfriend loved it! read more
