I signed up for Suncoast rider training in Weeki Wachee Florida. It was easy to sign up and very reasonably priced. What came after iwas two days of great fun and excellent training. The staff really got me ready to drive on the road and to learn the basics of motorcycle riding. I still got lots of practice ahead of me but thanks to Suncoast Rider training. I've got the foundation to get started great folks I'm thinking about taking additional courses from them if they offer intermediate and advanced classes. The class was a comfortable way to quickly get familiar with the controls and dynamics of the machine. Frank did a great job being encouraging while balancing his coaching with safety focused critique when appropriate. I appreciated that my class was relatively small which allowed for a lot of direct coaching from the instructors. I highly recommend this class for anyone who would like to start riding AND even the experienced riders in my class learned some important safety skills. THX!

Jim is patient and was always on time for pick up and drop off and always sent a confirmation / reminder for the lesson the day before. I highly recommend Jim as instructor! When I inquired about driving lessons for my teen daughter, the company prided themselves in having…read moresafety measures in place for the students including constant dash cam recordings and detailed background checks for all employees. Even though I didn't ask, this was an added security measure that put me at ease. After the first lesson, I reached out to the instructor to see how things went and communicate some skills I hoped she could work on. (At this point, she had mastered basic driving skills, but I wanted her to be more comfortable with interstate and high traffic driving.) His response was both confusing and alarming. He responded in a very aggressive manor. I was blown away at the response and had to re-read the text to see if I had mistyped something. I contacted the office, read them the text message. They were very apologetic stating that was not his normal behavior. I asked if they had the footage from her lesson so that I could understand what I was missing, but they stated that they were unable to separate other children out of the video, so they could not show me. I didn't think much of it, but thought it was odd to advertise this safety feature and not actually have it available for parents to view. They offered a new instructor and I was appreciative. When we got the new instructor's name, I discovered that he had MULTIPLE felonies including drug charges, domestic violence, and breaking and entering. He was convicted and served prison time just 2 years prior for domestic violence, violating a restraining order, and breaking and entering the home of the victim. I literally had the thought that maybe this guy had a double ganger because they said they did background checks. Unfortunately, this was not the case. They had been aware of the felonies, then lied to me and said that it was "a long time ago", and that he was "not convicted" even though the public record showed he was. I explained my concerns with my daughter being alone in a car with this man and my disappointment with the dishonesty in their policies. I also acknowledged that he may be a great instructor, and I feel that everyone deserves a second chance. However, I did not feel comfortable with him teaching my daughter with his history. I asked for a refund, and it was granted. Please be cautious with instructors from this driving school. I ended up hiring Shannon from Adapt2Drive. Due to the level of experience of my daughter's skills, she only needed 3 lessons. Shannon was amazing and my daughter passed her driving test with flying colors.

While attending PHSC I enrolled in classes at every campus with the exception of Brooksville and…read morecan tell you although their not perfect PHSC is a great school. PHSC offers small on campus classes, online and hybrid format courses. Instructors learn your name because you're not a face in an auditorium of 200 people. Each PHSC campus is comparable to most high schools with each class not surpassing 30 students. Most importantly PHSC is an accredited state college so you can transfer your credits elsewhere if need be. I earned a Bachelors and Associates Degree from Pasco Hernando State College. I completed a workforce training program, joined two honor societies and earned several scholarships while attending PHSC. I graduated PHSC with very little student loan debt. If I had attended USF or another large university I would certainly still be paying for my education. When visiting other institutions for information on graduate degrees, I was shocked to learn how many other students paid a ton of money for their four year degrees. One academic advisor told me he was jealous at how little debt I had since the same university he wanted me to attend charged him 40k. One tip I'd reccomend to new or existing students is to sign up for the PHSC foundation scholarship program. They award scholarships to nearly every student who applies. In exchange students are requird to help out at an event or promote their programs once or twice a year but would get anywhere from $500-1200 off tuition each semester. Don't attend a private school where your credits won't transfer and don't over pay for the same education at a university consider attending PHSC.

This college makes it absolutely impossible to be able to register for classes as a transient…read morestudent. They take forever to accept your application. Then once they do, you have to wait several days to get someone to upload what is needed on their end. Finally, once all of that is complete and you think you can register for you class - they put a hold on your account and make you speak with an advisor who never gets back with you. I only need 1 class to graduate in December that my current college is not offering, and I keep going around in circles with this school. Please, try your hardest to find another college that offers your course before you settle for this one.
