Alright, listen to this customer service experience and judge for yourself in you want to do…read morebusiness with them when YOU need help. We live in Rowlett and have a home warranty. Our pool's heating system and pump broke down just as the winter freeze hit in early December this week on last Friday on 12/7. We filed our claim and it was assigned to Atlas to come out and repair the system. We didn't hear from anyone on Friday, and while I didn't expect them to make it out with the ice storm that day, I figured we would at least receive a call telling us when they were coming. NO CALL. So Saturday rolls around and the roads weren't that bad so we thought we probably would get a call and maybe a service man. NO CALL, NO SERVICE. Keep in mind that our pool at now at 32 degrees and the pipes are at risk of freezing and bursting. On Monday, I called Atlas and finally got the scheduler who said that they had the claim, but that they don't service Rowlett. I suggested that they may want to advise the warranty company of that, and the scheduler yelled at me, and told me she was going to do me a "favor" by trying to talk someone into going out, but now based on my comment, she was going to call the warranty company and tell them they won't cover Rowlett. When I asked if I should call the warranty company to find another vendor, she told me "that's up to you" and hung up on me. I never even rose my voice in the call. Really? I would not go there for service, supplies, or anything else. She was the rudest service person I've ever encountered. They have no willingness to be helpful. Go ahead and find someone else to do "favors" for. I found another vendor very happy to take the work.

I used Yelp to try to find a plumber for my plumbing issue. While the other companies that…read moreresponded to my request, made through the Yelp app, either wanted me to call them immediately to book without an estimate or promised to pass my info on to someone in the company who would contact me, Aquaflow is the ONLY company that followed through and answered some followup questions that I had. Due to my location I wasn't able to use their services but based on how they communicated I certainly would have if I had been closer to their base of operations. They are new to Yelp so here is me wishing them many positive reviews on Yelp in the future!

Robert (the owner) is very pleasant individual and I am sure very knowledgeable for plumbing…read morerelated issues. That said, his knowledge of irrigation and pump issues, in my opinion, is very limited but still charges a plumbers hourly rate of $167.50 per hour for that service. He spent more time explaining what the issue might be and what it didn't seem that it was than he did actually doing anything. I have had a number of plumbers perform work and never had one bill that high of a rate. He was actually onsite working for 2 1/2 hours but billed for 3. His $40 trip fee for 46 miles round trip was reasonable. After spending 2+ hours of testing electrical and musing over logistics of how to fix, his diagnosis was to replace the submersible pump and control box. A neighbor and friend came over, while Robert was still here, dug down to find the lines going to and from the pond pump. Spent 15 minutes on the internet to discover there was a reset switch on the control box, returned to push that button and the sprinkler system now works. His skill as a plumber may be very good but do NOT call for sprinkler related problems. He did 'give' me a 10% senior citizen discount but the bill was still over $488. He charges $168 per hour while the average doctor in the US, as of June 2024, is around $65. Look (and ask) before you leap.
