Triple A used to be a luxury, a reliable company that quickly and consistently took care of its customers, but not anymore. I was blindly charged $150 after waiting *14 hours* past the original arrival time for the tow. I had to call three times to get any answer. It takes several minutes upon calling to reach a representative. You have to lie about why you're calling, then get to a human and get transferred. When I called to talk with a representative about the undisclosed charge, I was transferred to a supervisor who told me , "a complaint will be filed". I had further questions (like when should I expect a response/should I expect a phone call or email/what does that even mean...?), but was hung up on by the supervisor. They lost my car on Wednesday July 25th and I still haven't gotten it back yet and it's Saturday the 28th Got a tow on July 23, 2025 on 930am. AAA the tow company the wrong information so they tried to bring my car to an address that didn't exist. To make things worse, AAA didnt even know what company towed my car. I was lucly enough to take pics of it on the tow truck and the phone number was in the pictures. Because the tow truck driver wasted his day and didn't get paid he decided to bring by truck back to his yard and is now demanding 350 dollars to release it. AAA is doing nothing to fix there mistake and it is not Saturday July 26th and I still don't have my car and there only resolution is for me to pay 350 dollars for there mistake and they will "reimburse me" is 6 to 8 weeks. I have spent countless hours on the phone with numerous people and its almost as if they have no records of any of our conversations like they just screw up pretty bad. read more

THEY SUCK!!!! They never showed up. After 4 hours I had to hitch a ride and call a tow company from the dealership. They kept lying and saying 30 minutes more. POS people that don't care about your safety or their obligation to provide the service I paid for. I sent multiple requests to talk with someone and never got a response. read more

I had them tell me one hour with a text verification then told in text 12 min I watched the tow driver drive past me. Then he lied to AAA and told them he didn't have the equipment to tow me which was not true. Then three hours in was told another 45 mins and then that driver canceled due to me stating that triple a should be responsible for mileage over charge due to the first driver driving past me . I have been a valued member for over 16 years and I feel as though AAA could handle this situation better . read more

I called AAA Roadside Assistance. Prior uses were excellent however today service was Lousy. Timeliness was excellent but when tech was arriving he could not follow directions in garage but WORSE WAS HE WAS IN UARKED PRIVATE AUTO. No markings on car and I had no way to confirm tech was in fact with AAA! Cannot contact AAA via website at all. Usually vehicles ate AAA cars or tow truck with business names No ID OR MARKINGS ON AUTO! This is a SAFETY CONCERN! read more

Incredible! Been 6 decade member of AAA Nashville TN and thankfully only used handful of times. Today, late afternoon, safe warm home thankfully, battery went dead 2017 Toyota Camry. Technician Anthony Lopez came, in dark, in freezing cold, and IN A AAA truck which is safety for women, and he hooked up something to check everything under hood, showed me results on phone, and replaced my battery with AAA brand battery which I'd already researched in case, and I got the price quote offered in the texts they send after appt made and for $230+ he installed, tested, in 20 minutes or less. I didn't need to tow car, or anything else. I'm joyously shocked. I don't read the fine print when I pay yearly $50+ fee, so I had no idea AAA does this like this. I'm so relieved and relaxed. Headache from worry hasn't left yet, but it will. So, I'm thankfull my house and car haven't been destroyed in a fire so can have this problem and thankful for AAA AND SWEET, FUNNY, NO COLOGNE OR SMOKE SCENTS. PROFESSIONAL, Anthony Lopez!!! I had a flat tire on a motorcycle. They put me on hold for 2.5 hours while I got eaten up by mosquitos. Then I was told my policy isn't any good for motorcycles. OK, I didn't know this but it's good to know they will put you on hold when you need service. They didn't even know I was on a motorcycle. Their robots never asked that. I cancelled our auto coverage. Wish there was a company you could count on other than robots that treat you like a number. I will look for one. read more

I want to say a great big THANK YOU to AAA of Nashville. I recently drove down there from Indiana and got a flat tire just 4 miles from my hotel. I called AAA and within 15 minutes, Kathleen showed up in the AAA van to change the tire for me. Although she wasn't able to get the wheel off, she called for a tow truck. Chris arrived within 10 minutes with his tow truck and made sure that I got taken care of at Capital City Tire Shop. While I would have rather not had to call AAA, I am certainly glad that they were there when I needed them. read more

This service company is crap. They take your money but when you need their service you get told to wait for over 2.5 hours. Then your get a call 15 min before they are due and told you are to wait again because they have to go pick someone else you. So wrong on so many levels. They sure have backslid as a company over the years. In their heyday AAA was worth it's weight in gold. Sadly that's just part of history. They now have the absolute worst customer service. They do not provide quality in their services any longer (if the service even shows up). They are also failing at providing the type of discounts their memberships were once known for. It's a shame really. I good quality car insurance will provide roadside assistance and come through much much faster than these kids. My mother has had her membership 50 years to date and it's my goal to have her cancel it. I had mine 20 years and they treated me so awful the last time I needed help. I literally cried when I got off the phone out of disappointment and frustration. They did not show up and they tried to charge me even though they never came. AAA is an outdated worthless service. Please do not waist your money here. They will disappoint you and you will be stranded by them. read more

This was literally one of the worst experiences of my life! My 16yo son was in an accident so I drove over to meet him. We sat for 2+ hours on the side of the road waiting for roadside assistance. I called and was told to just go home and they'll tow it. HOURS went by and my vehicle was left on the side of the road (with the keys per their request). I have no idea why I pay the $155 annual fee. I purchased this for emergencies for my kids and I and now I'll be canceling after a 9 year membership! You're better off just calling a local tow truck! Wanting to escape the pandemic, my husband and I decided on a camping trip following the route of the Lewis and Clark Expedition and then visit our daughter's family in N CA. Charles, with Nia's assistance, did a fantastic job putting together two TripTiks...one for the route with points of interest along the way and a second one with tent camping sites. I've been with AAA for seven years now and I've only had to use them twice. My second time was 2019. What was supposed to take 60 minutes has now taken three hours and my car is sitting at a gas station near a major intersection In East Nashville. I waited one this week for over 2.5 hours, and yesterday called at 9:42 am got a call but never saw a tow truck at 1:55 pm. Late for work. They would update and put back by 1 hour after every time they have you. Why are people paying them. Had to call another company and pay for service. Also 1 year ago called with a flat tire. They never came claimed they were told wrong address by dispatch. Have been a member for over 30 years those are the only 3 calls. And only had them show up once. Will be looking for other options. So last evening I noticed that one of Kermit's tires was flat as I walked by him. Awesome. At least he was parked in front of my house and it wasn't pouring down rain. What's a girl to do? I'm clearly not equipped at my house to handle these sorts of situations. In fact, I'm not even entirely certain that I own a tire gauge. I decided that step one of my action plan should be to get the tire inflated so that I could drive somewhere to get it repaired. I had my very first experience calling AAA for roadside assistance. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was very friendly, and they always ask to see if you are in a safe location. (Luckily, I was at my house at the time, but I feel like this would be good information to gather if I had been in some ditch somewhere). The first operator told me that due to high call volume in the area, my wait time would be about 90 minutes. Not awesome, but at least someone was on the way. About half an hour later, I get a call to tell me that someone has been dispatched to my vehicle, and within 15 more minutes a very friendly man with an air compressor called to say he was at my car and fixed Kermit's tire right up. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service that I received in a less than optimal situation. Thanks, AAA! read more

AAA came to the rescue amidst car troubles! Two years ago I was having alot of car issues and times of where I had to get my car towed. A few friends recommended that I get AAA to make it easier and I'm so glad I made that choice. Soon after I bought my AAA membership my car broke down for the last time. The service/repair guy thankfully restarted my car however he said i probably couldn't go far with it, and boy he was right. I went about 1 mile and then my car got stuck again. This time my car was dead, smoking, and a caught at a busy intersection in Cool Springs. I immediately called AAA and they arranged someone to tow my car to the nearest car shop and also dispatched police to make sure i was safe. I will always trust AAA for roadside assistance. Not to mention they offer great discounts at various retailers. Especially and recently, I bought glasses and contacts at Lenscrafters, and AAA saved me 300 dollars or up to 30% off my bill. AAA Nashville sent out Anthony from Uncle Dave's service tonight to pop my lock after I locked my keys in my car. Anthony was extremely polite on the phone, and even arrived 15 minutes early. He was fast and efficient with his work, and even gave me a tip on how to reprogram the keypad on my door to avoid future lockouts. He is a true asset to AAA Nashville. read more

Must have been an unforgettable night since my car peed all over the driveway. At least it was my driveway this time.. AAA membership has paid for itself 4x over this year! Downloaded their mobile app and set up my account. Easy to use and saved all my vehicles' info for future 'incidents'. Who can ever remember their license plate number especially after a weekend bender?? App gave me the estimated wait time and also pinpointed my approximate gas location for service. AAA even called me with an update and indicated the tow truck would call me when in route. Now if only they could tie in real time gps coords to their trucks on Google maps! Wish zero stars was an option. Member since 2014. 1st and only time using AAA because we were stranded near Louisville (Sellersburg, IN), 3 hours from home on 8/19/2022 when our (new) truck's main fuse system blew while traveling to WI for vacation. All 3 RAM dealerships in the Louisville area could not look at our truck until October or refused to touch it citing staffing shortages. Our only option was getting it towed back to our hometown dealership in TN. AAA told us, after 5 hours of back and forth conversations, that even though they promise to 'tow anywhere the customer wishes", any tow over $500 is the customer's responsibility to not only pay, but to find a company that will do that type of long-distance towing....Oh, and we can "TRY to file a claim since this situation was out of our control but (the agent) doubted we'd be reimbursed". More fun: the agent could not help us to get to a safer location, other than the side of the road in a sketchy parking lot which they deemed 'safe' for two 60 + individuals at 8PM in the evening. Our hometown RAM dealership finally helped us get the truck towed (thank you Miracle Dodge RAM) and UBER came to our rescue (no rentals available in the Louisville area that weekend; we were #15 on the waiting list for ANY rental car). So done with AAA. Of note and reason for 1 star: the agent was very apologetic and seemed truly sorry his supervisor would not authorize additional towing assistance. AAA: do not send me an email validating the responsiveness of the agent -- You'll be missing the point completely: There is NO bright spot to this review. read more

Planning a family vacation to Disney is a daunting task so as a member of AAA I thought it wise to reach out for help planning and booking. I called the office last week and was transferred to an agent but that agent was not available and I got their voicemail. So I hung up and tried again, just to be sure I would be leaving a message for the right agent. After being assured this was the agent for me I was again transferred and again no one was available. So I left my name , number, and a brief explanation of what my needs are (help planning and booking a week long vacation at Disney World). It's been almost a week and I have yet to get a call back. Not cool. I've found an agent I will be working with (not AAA) but other than a pretty decent discount at area attractions and hotels I find very little value in my membership. read more

Unlike most AAA offices, the Hillsboro location is centrally located and convenient. If you're a member and are planning a trip, you can go to AAA to get all the free maps and tour books you need. And if you're planning a camping trip, you can stop by Hillsboro Hardware and Friedman's Army Navy Surplus Store for some supplies on your way home. The staff member who helped me was very friendly, and even offered to make me a trip planner. After giving me the map of Atlanta that I'd asked for and asking me a few questions about my trip, she told me I should go to this wonderful store called Ikea, as if it were a big secret. "They even have a stand with Swedish meatballs! So if you have time, it's a fun place to go; it's an experience," she said. Overall a positive experience - I didn't have to wait in line, and the parking lot had plenty of empty spaces. read more

A member of AAA since the day I got my license I thought I would review the AAA Auto Club South, because they are just so gosh darn friendly. When I moved here from California I went in to AAA South to get my membership transferred over, and spent an hour there just chit chatting. Knowing that I was a newbie to the South they offered me just about every map of the Southern United States known to man, just in case I wanted to go on a road trip. A member since I was 16 I can also tell you that AAA is absolutely fantastic when I comes to roadside assistance. I cant tell you how many places in this country have been witness to me running out of gas and hanging out on the side of the road. AAA has always come to my rescue. read more

Awful been a member for 14 years. Rarely use the service. The one time I do it was a 3 hour wait and driver was rude and obnoxious. Got in my car while smoking and stated he was going to pick up another car after getting mine loaded further delaying getting it to.the dealership for repairs. Called to complain and still took 20 minutes from them to answer and still did not resolve anything. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I have been a AAA member since 1984. First with basic membership in California, later adding the "Plus" and "Motorcycle" to the coverage. AAA has saved me on more occasions than I can count" flat tires, lockout, jumps, batteries, towing my motorcycle, getting me and my car home after an evening "out". Don't forget all the discounts I have received on restaurants, hotels, auto repair, etc. Then the FREE passport photos, maps, trip planning, retail...I could go on and on..Ladies we especially need AAA because it helps you feel more empowered and secured knowing the technicians are vetted and highly skilled plus they always have my safety at the forefront of their service. Called, immediate "live" response, explained problem, gave area location, 'fone #, etc. Told..."Tech will be to you by 6:40 AM(1 hour or less)"..."he will call you 5-10 minutes out". 5 yes FIVE minutes later(5:50 AM)..."Hello AAA calling, I am on Elm Hill Pike, finishing up -a call... be at your location 8-10 minutes"!!! Arrives in 5(5:55 AM)!!! Tech, William, unloads all of his diagnostic equipment, jumper battery, etc. "goes to work". Tech, William, does a COMPLETE test of ALL electrical systems; Amps, Charging capacity, -Drain/Draw(all systems on battery including; AC, Fans, Headlights, etc.), Volts and more!!! 6:15/6:20 AM... William has accomplished and completed EVERYTHING!!! - Car starts and restarts...NO problem. William 5++STARS...Give him; A raise in salary, promotion, BOTH!!! AAA 5 STARS. read more

I got my reembursement from AAA for my California trip out of pocket roadside expenses. I am going to stick with them as I'm not going to throw away 12 years of good serivce over just one frustrating incident. I still consider them as being one of the better Roadside Assistance services. read more
