I finally decided to stop making payments and cancel my trip because I felt like I was being scammed and I no longer trusted the travel agent. After more months of waiting I received partial travel credit and the rest of my refund was put in someone else's card. I still have not heard back from Michele about this oversight and still have not received my refund. Please please please avoid this company.

Well, I'm writing this review so therefore, they have NOT! This travel agent was referred to our Class Reunion by a classmate. We had our 35th year class reunion in Cancun Mexico this year for Southside Comprehensive High School, now known as Maynard Jackson High. I paid for a swim up room and didn't get it. I contacted the Travel Agent Michele months before my trip to ask if she has me down for a swim up because I see on my confirmation an Ocean view. She confirmed that she has me down for a swim up. I am paying for a swim up and the difference between the swim up and the Ocean view are a couple of hundred dollars (keep this in mind). I continued making my payments for a swim up. A week before check in (June 12, 2025) Michele reached out and asked all of us (about 16 of us) to check-in online 7 days prior to our trip. I went out there about 5 days prior to the trip and again, I saw that they did not have me down for a swim up!!!!! I reached out to Michele Espeut, CEO and no answer. The night before our 7:20am flight, I reached out again and she answered and said she has been working on it. She didn't let me know or informed me of anything before that. Keep in mind, the only time I would receive a answer from Michele would be after I had contacted my classmate (go figure) Come to find out, she was out of the country on her birthday trip. There was no "out of office" email, message or anything to let me know that there would be a delay so regardless of what the Agent is/was doing, I am under the impression that I am being ignored. From June 5, 2025 @10:18 pm until June 11, 2025 @ 9:02 pm NO RESPONSE! June 11, 2025 @9:03 pm I finally got a text saying that she had been working on it and we would have a $400 credit at the RIU Hotel and she was on the phone with Delta for a refund for the difference. My hubby and I wasn't told that the $400 credit would be on the next RIU trip until I reached out to her while in Mexico inquiring why I nor the Hotel can't see it on our file. As of today, July 1, 2025 and since we have returned as of June 15, 2025, I have sent 6 emails inquiring about our refund and the only response I have received from Michele is "Ocean View or Ocean Front because the hotel had your reservation as a Ocean Front". I will never ever, ever, ever book a trip with Global 9 Travels w/ Michele Espeut. The fact that we paid on time and was expecting a great experience and yet we spend most of our first day at the Lobby trying to get a room. Also, we had keep up with what the hotel has us reserved under and the inconvenience we had to endure, it was unacceptable!! If the agent is on a trip, away from the office, common courtesy would be to make absolutely certain that your upcoming trip details are taken care and that make sure that their clients know that you will not be available instead of ignoring the hell out of them! #lessonlearned

She gave me so many great recommendations about the different cruise lines and destinations. My travel agent handled everything for me! From payments, making sure we had the best rooms, she even booked our plane tickets as well. All we had to do (Literally) was just show up! And she did all of that while making sure we had the best rates possible. This has been by far the easiest vacation I've ever booked. My family and I didn't have to worry about anything. The hardest part about this vacation was choosing the destination lol. GAV is the only travel agency I will be booking with from now on. Definitely a hidden gem.
