Throughout my entire move these young people were professional, courteous, honest and friendly. From the moment I emailed Bayside Moving and received a quick response and quote from Austin I was hopeful that this would be a painless move. We moved from Pensacola Beach further east along the Gulf Coast. On moving day, five young men showed up on time and started packing my furniture. They were professionally dressed, pleasant and fast working. I cannot remember the names of all the five men but appreciate their service. I opted to have the furniture delivered two days later to have time to arrive and prepare our new beach home for the furniture. There was a blip with time of arrival due to a misunderstanding regarding CST and EST, but I received a call from Cody letting me know and we were good to go. Cody and Anderson showed up, unwrapped furniture, moved furniture up and down three flights of stairs without once hearing a complaint or seeing them waste time. They went above and beyond and did a few extra things such as moving an existing washer & dryer down to the garage. I received outstanding service. Not one thing arrived broken. Not one wall scratched or wooden floor marred. I was so happy with this entire experience. The movers were kind but not really a team. They worked together because it was a job and not because they necessarily understood moving furniture. Everything was fine until the end. I left to actually go to the bank and get the crew a tip. I didn't have cash on me. When I returned they had finished me bong the last couple pieces. I tipped them all generously and off they went. We departed as well to take care of some business. Upon returning my wife noticed that they had put several large deep scratches into the side of a very nice console of ours. I immediately called the owner and tried to text him. No response either way. Once I got him on the phone, he claimed the other number was not a cellphone and I had to email him. I did just that and he claimed he would call me on Monday so we can discuss. I sent him a couple pictures and waited until Monday...NO CALL! I called him...twice...three times....NO RESPONSE! My phone life called...ONCE AGAIN IGNORED! I will never recommend this company to anyone. Not to mention I got cheated on cost. I was quoted &650 with $100 deposit. When I got the bill it was an additional $200 added. The owner claimed that the deposit was not part of the billing...WHAT!!??? People stay away from this sorry side show and let them go out of business. They deserve it!

They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.

They didn't charge a travel fee that most movers charge so they are the needle in the haystack and we feel like we hit the pot of gold when we found and hired them. While packing up my old apartment, they broke the living room light fixture and did not fix it or take responsibility. When we arrived at my new place, I was suddenly told I would be charged $1,000 for only eight items. This was never clearly communicated beforehand. I felt like I had no choice but to pay because they were essentially holding my belongings hostage until payment was made. It only got worse from there. When unloading, they told me one of the dressers was "too heavy" and that I would need to unload it and bring everything inside myself because they weren't going to do it. I paid a moving company to move my belongings -- not to do the labor myself. Once everything was inside, I discovered: * My dining room chair was completely broken and unusable * My couch had two holes in it * One of my dressers had a front leg completely snapped off They didn't offer to pay for any of the damage just said they would contact the workers and get back with me. They claimed the dresser was already damaged when they arrived, which is absolutely untrue. I have pictures proving it was not damaged beforehand. I contacted their supervisor as instructed and sent photos. He was no help at all and simply responded with "sorry" while insisting I had been told the pricing -- which I was not. The entire interaction felt dismissive and incredibly unprofessional. This company was late, damaged my property, overcharged me without proper communication, and refused to take accountability.
