Went earlier for some dmv services and got everything done in ten minutes and the associate was absolutely pleasant and helpful.

I have been a AAA customer for over 10 years and I am shocked at the decline in service and lack of accountability that AAA takes towards members who have been loyally with them for so long. I initially called on September 3, 2022 for a tow at 12pm. I was told because of the holiday weekend they were extremely busy. I was told that the tow truck company would arrive by 5pm at the latest. 5pm came and went. I called back and was on hold for an hour before I finally got a representative who told me that the earliest they could have someone out to me was 8pm. I told them that since I need to get my car to the shop before it closed I would reschedule for September 4th. The tow truck driver from Castaic Towing arrived on time but did not come with the flatbed as I requested. When he showed up I told him that I was concerned because my car is extremely low to the ground. He told me not to worry. However, when he tried to get under the car, it ripped off the bottom lip and destroyed the bumper. He immediately tried to fix it and started arguing with me that he was not responsible for the bumper but only the bottom guard even though there were wires hanging and liquid was draining from the car. When I started arguing with him he refused to tow my car to the shop (after he damaged it) and said he was not responsible for the damage. I immediately called AAA and spoke to Karen (H867) who documented everything but said that any damage needed to be dealt with Castaic towing and that AAA was not responsible to which I replied that Castic Towing is a vendor of AAA and was assigned to me by AAA therefore AAA needs to take responsibility. Karen stated I should first try and "work it out" with Castaic towing. Below is the timeline of what transpired with Castiac Towing. 9/6/22 - Spoke with Abraham at Castaic Towing. He said his driver was only responsible for the bottom lip of the car. I told him that the car was at the shop and that there was significant damage to the car...much more than the bottom lip. He said he would go to the shop to see it in person so I gave him the address, phone number and shop owner's name. He said he would call. 9/7/22 - Called Castaic Towing to check on progress since the shop told me that nobody had called and nobody had come by. I got the dispatcher who said there was nothing they can do. I called back two hours later and got the same message 9/8/22 - Called Castaic Towing. Got dispatch. Was told that Abraham is out of the office on Thursdays and Fridays and to call back on Saturday 9/10/22 - Called Castaic Towing and was told that Abraham was not there. I left a message. Nobody called me back 9/11/22 - Called Castaic Towing five times. Got dispatch each time and told them that nobody is picking up in the office 9/12/22 - Called Castaic Towing and spoke with someone in the office. He said Abraham was out but he took a message and I told him that if I don't hear back and don't get a resolution by tomorrow that I would be filing a police report and a complaint with AAA. 9/13/22 - Called Castaic Towing and spoke with Abraham. He said he will only pay for "cosmetic damages" on the bottom lip. I said that he was supposed to go and inspect the car and now he stated that he did not need to do so and that he saw the pictures his tow truck driver had given (after he pulled the tow truck away) and is not responsible. I informed him that he was obviously "playing games" and that I would be now filing a formal complaint with AAA. I immediately went into my local Valencia CA branch and met with the branch manager Val Ringor who upon reviewing my photographs agreed that Castaic Towing was at fault. She requested an estimate from the mechanic...which I provided...for $3,000 in damage. She submitted all the paperwork. I waited for close to a month before someone from AAA left me a voice mail message saying "Castaic Towing is a 3rd party vendor and therefore I needed to work it out with them." I called Val Ringor again and was furious that now, over a month later, I was right back where I started. I demanded that my situation be escalated. I received an email from Andrea Black on October 18th asking me for documentation. She and I went back and forth for a few days before she came back with an offer of $500. I was beyond furious. It had taken AAA a month and a half to offer me five hundred dollars when I had close to THREE THOUSAND in damages. I called up AAA who is also my insurance company and filed a claim. The adjuster AGREED with the estimate and my insurance covered $3000 in damages minus the 250 deductible that I was still being held responsible for! The way AAA handled this situation and dealt with a long-time member is beyond shameful. They are a huge company who obviously has shown through their actions that they do not care about the "little guy" even if that person has been a loyal member. read more

Poor, no, extremely poor customer service. They rarely answer the phone, but allow for messages with a promise to return the call. My calls went unanswered and messages were nit returned. I asked for an Inyo County map. The agent handed me a City of Indio map. That is how long I have been an AAA member and proud to say, I am 65 years old. I know some of you are doing the math because, when you grow older for some reason We become extremely nosey and I became a AAA member at the age of 27 years old. Lol's) AAA used to thrived on, "Excellence", with Customer Service. They had Zero Tolerance for any employee to be disrespectful or rude to the customers no matter how irritating We are/have and still are at times. I'm just saying. Lol's In reality, AAA Customer Service was so Elite until We often complained about the cost, but, when you are involved in an Auto accident and/or you vehicle breaks down on the road. Keeping it 100, all you had to do back in the day was make that one phone call on the back of your membership card and it was like let the games begin with the Agents providing, "Legendary Customer Service!" These Agents were So "Legendary", until We felt confident that everything was going to be alright, (Just like belated Bob Marley songs~Every little thing is going to be alright) and that is/was exactly what happened!! One of the Manager's, (Mr. Redmond ~Since has retired in Highland, CA, AAA office ) use to be in the AAA office on "D", Street located in San Bernardino, CA, (Until AAA located to Highland), personality was calm, and his voice entwined with his conversation made it possible for him to de-escalate any irate customer entering AAA, leaving with a smile, and apologizing for being rude. The beauty of it all, Mr. Redmond would always say, "It is understandable why you are frustrated, but that is what We are here for to take care of you.." Mr. Redmond knew AAA insurance is/was/still expensive. Lmbo He provided Legendary Service that was off the charts until that is/was why customers did not mind paying the high cost. "It is what it is." So, that is enough bragging about Mr. Redmond. I was involved in an accident. The only one I've ever been in. Someone in a new Tesla broadsided me as I crossed the road. He was speeding but the officer didn't believe a word I said and put fault totally on to me. well it turned out the officer didn't see the speed limit sign he stood right next to and listed the speed limit at (45) it was actually (35) I have pics .I assumed since the other driver quoted his speed at 40, that him and the deputy didn't bother to find out the true speed limit. I tried to get in touch with an adjuster but couldn't contact her or get her to call. Seems they just don't want to bother, but the guy was speeding by his own admission to the cop .I would think my liability would change, but they didn't seem concerned. We have also used them for many different discounts. We just barely started using them for registration of our vehicles. It's was a breeze a piece of cake compared to the shit*y DMV office's. Nothing compared to the lines at the DMV. We will be coming here for all our DMV needs. Love us some AAA Because when you need there services you can count on them to be there. This location has a little wait but nothing to complain about. Most of the staff are very upbeat and friendly. Now some look like there on permanent I'm in bit*ch Mode. I am very annoyed and frustrated with this office. On 12/07/2021, I received an email to report current mileage for all my vehicles to renew my policy, so I called into this office. Later, I got a notice from AAA that I need to report my vehicles's current mileage again if I want my coverage renew. I called into this office and was told to this regard the letter. I had to call into this office for the second time since I got a second notice and got he same answer. I got a third notice on 01/08/2022. I couldn't take it anymore so I went in personally to speak with manager on duty with the third notice. Without any apology, she informed me that one of my vehicles' mileage was not updated somehow. So now have AAA, but just may have been a mistake, it was complete mess in beginning, rep not doing paperwork right, getting notice from DMV, an lein holder of not having coverage, got it straighten out, so I thought, dum rep never told me that I had to have membership in order to have their insurance, never heard of anything so stupid, now just got new premium for next year, it has now gone from $411, a month for 3 cars, to $539, for same 3 cars, an no rep has even call me to discuss the high increase of premium. While waiting in line for intake the lady welcoming people into the store was extremely rude and irritated before I said one word to her. Once I was in the establishment I explained my situation about a transfer of title and registration and without offering any explanation the woman said she would not do the transaction because the person on the other end of the transfer was not a AAA member. My wife used to work at this location and knows what can and cannot be done by AAA. I was asking for any explanation or any kind of help and was offered nothing but the fact that they Could not perform the transaction. All I was asking for was for information and I got nothing. Within the last year they have given me the run around on rates for renewal by taking me out would be $600 less than the original price then when I get the information on the mail is $400 higher than what I was told. Also had a claims adjuster not contact the tentative car company and I was left stranded at the body shop without a ride. I came to this location today, July 26, 2021. I paid my registration changed titles. Put tags on my car and then, my car wouldn't start. Now I know it was closing time and they aren't mechanics but I had to call for AAA to tow me from AAA. NO ONE from AAA showed up and I waited for two hours. I'm a middle aged woman and I just walked out of their Bldg. They saw me out there!!! I was the only one left in the parking lot. It was over 90°! No one from the office even came out to say anything or see if anything was wrong. I couldn't believe an office full of women just left me outside without offering anything. Not even s bottle of water. No one even asked if there was an issue. They saw me! And no one from AAA showed. Robyn was the worst rep I have ever come across and I've been a member for 12 years doing business at this location. This rep was told 3x -4x I needed dmv and still was rude enough to say she couldn't understand what I said even after SHE separated the line for dmv versus other services. Someone else was able to cut ahead of me because of that and i was on limited time. ROBYN was just very rude and her voice was very condescending to me and another older gentleman. Robyn briefly looked at my new registration docs and said no we can't do that I never got to see a real dmv rep. I was upset and she did nothing to resolve it she was the gatekeeper to say no as if she were a manager. I went to the office in Redlands and they properly looked at my documents and helped me. I can totally see why there was more people waiting at redlands to get sufficient help/excellent customer service than at this highland location. Never going back this simple transactions shouldnt be a headache and Robyn shouldnt be handling the front. I can only imagine how many people leave because of her and her refusual to get a manager when she becomes rude or inefficient. It shows she doesnt care about clients or her job. I told her i was going to complain she argued back saying im the problem. It was too early to argue with someone like this and i know she was just looking to say no because she can like a bully. I have been a member for over 10 years, have had renters and car insurance for over 5 years... and they cancelled my car insurance (without telling me) bc my daughter turned 16! When I called to fix the problem that they created.... they did nothing to help except be extremely rude. Even the "supervisor" Hannah P. Was rude and unable to handle the situation they caused. Went back Saturday to pick my personalized plates the young wanted to argue with us about a possible additional fee.. after a few wasted 8 minutes of back and forth about this so called transfer fee to change to personalized license plates...she check and there we no fee.. she should have check first better arguing with us what a waste of energy and time ...it appeared she wanted to win an argument...maybe she needs additional customer service training on how to deliver information to customers. read more
