I mean, look, it means they're really busy, which means they must be good and in high demand, right? But a month and a half is probably the longest I've ever waited for a contractor. That said, it turned out well. Also, they didn't go up on the roof to take a peek at the chimney during the inspection. I was kind of expecting that, though it was almost three stories up and I'm sure he didn't bring a ladder for a house that tall. But still... Hmm. Not sure if that's usually part of the process. He sucked them into the vacuum like a champ. Henry inspected the exterior and showed me where I had separation in the brick between the building and the chimney. The interior also had cracking. They briefly left to get the right color paint for the inside of my fireplace. Upon their return, the cracks were efficiently sealed and the inside freshly painted. One last wasp entered my home as they were packing to leave. They were prepared with wasp spray and made sure it was dead before leaving.
