    Auto-zone test results

I was in Daytona Beach and I needed a jumpstart on a Sunday on my 2022 Kia. I called at 10:30 in the morning and made the request. The guy arrived at about 12:10 pm and we finally met at my car. I open the hood and he gave me a jump and I ran the car for a minute or two and he said cut the engine off and he would test the battery. He tested the battery with his phone and the starter pack. I asked what the voltage was and he would not say. He only said the battery was bad. He did not say that the battery was open or there was a bad cell. Before he arrived, the battery was completely dead and would not unlock with the remote. I am an electrical engineer (power systems) and knew if there was a weak cell in the battery it would show a voltage. He then tried to scam me into buying a new battery and then offered to get me a tow to the KIA dealer. I told him I would take it to the KIA dealer as it was under warranty, so just give me a jump and I would let it charge and drive it for a while. I told him I would call again on Monday if it did not start. I ran the car for about 45 minutes and then cut it off. It cranked quickly. I then took it to an Auto-Zone directly across the street and had the battery tested. The results are: Battery Battery Results: Passed Entered Battery CCA: 600 Measured Battery CCA: 561 Battery Health: Good Health Battery Temp: 118F Expected: -27F to +140F Beginning Voltage: 13.1V Expected: Greater than 12.4V Volage Under Load: 12.7V Expected: No less than 10.4V Battery Type: SL1_STD

If Cindy Ferrara's State Farm office did not reach out to us about auto insurance (we have our home…read moreinsurance there for years) we would have been paying out more than $3500 EXTRA per YEAR for the same coverage, same vehicles, same amount of driving then the bill we just got from the "Lizard" for renewal. Literally a $1700+ difference per six months. And we have a perfectly clean driving record with no accidents, no tickets, and minimal driving. All this was accomplished within a few minutes, online and a short phone call. AND! we were with GEICO for decades! Suspected we were being gouged for years. So happy that our State Farm people were there to look out for us. Over a ten year period we probably overpaid enough to buy a new vehicle.

People read the reviews. Don't get scam by Cindy Ferrara and her staff. The front office lady was…read moredisgusting. State Farm need to investigate her practice for fraudulent behaviors, sharing personal information. Unprofessional and very deceitful. Wanted me to pay inspectors "her friends" $150 for inspection when my property insurance was still active. Lots of negative things she was saying to me in her office. She wanted me to hurry up and pay upfront to these list of people she hand written on a paper and handed to me.Scary, this lady kept my personal underwriting paperwork and said she gave me all my paperwork back. I called Geico and my new property insurance went down $800 and I'll be getting a refund. My first experience with State Farm and my absolute last. DO NOT GIVE THIS LADY YOUR INFORMATION SCAM
