Rick was super responsive, always provided excellent customer service and ensured my father well taken care of. My dad had to be transported to San Diego for his final farewell, and me being a nervous wreck about all the "what ifs", Rick explained the entire transporting process and never left me doubting or with unanswered questions. He contacted me once my father was in his care and even ensured my father was cared for properly while in the care of the other funeral home that had transported him. The other funeral home that transported my dad to San Diego was good but not nearly as responsive or communicative as Southbay. On the day of the viewing, Rick and his colleague were there providing assistance and support throughout the entire day. I never had to look for them or wonder where they went. They were always there. They took charge when I was too emotional and couldn't, but of course with my permission. Rick assisted me in ensuring everything went smoothly, asked me prior to transitioning the guests to the reception area and just provided impeccable support overall. Unfortunately, this was not my first rodeo in attending or arranging funerals, but I can definitely say it was by far the best support, guidance and best experience ever during these hardest moments. I was able to focus on things that mattered in that moment instead of the headaches of making sure everything ran accordingly. I can't speak highly enough about this place and highly recommend them to everyone. Oh and the prayer cards for my dad were beautiful, I received the image before having them printed ensuring everything looked good and they looked great. My mom was very happy with them and so was I. Long post but I wanted to make sure Southbay had the credit they deserve. I never write reviews unless my experience was really poor or really great and I honestly cannot say anything bad about my experience.
