This service company is anything but. After finding that they had done an automatic renewal pending on our credit card for $159.00, I called and said cancel our membership and do not process this charge. That was on Friday, Oct. 31, 2020. So what did AAA do you ask? Well, the very next day they processed the charge and supposedly processed a refund to our account. And they told me it was processed on Monday, since they are closed on Sunday. But here is the really fun part - they need 10 to 15 days to process the refund. Amazing since it took them less than 12 hours to steal our money in the first place. So here we sat, I called again on 11/3 and when I told them that that was the money I needed to purchase heart medicine, they put a man named Curtis on the phone and he said he would do what he could to push it through and then call me, today is 11/8 and no one has called back. They have no problem stealing from their members, but apparently they have a really big problem doing something so simple as returning that which wasn't theirs to take in the first place. Indefensible no matter where you stand. 15 days??? Really not someone I would want to rely on if I was having car trouble - I don't usually have 15 days for them to arrive to help. I also promised to make them financially responsible if anything happened since they had the last of my money until my SS check arrived. Just like every one else, money is scarce & very hard to come by right now and when people make my life more complicated than necessary, I tend to get angry. And I enjoy sharing the bad and the good when it happens. But this national company gets a great big thumbs down from me. And since we maintained a membership since 2006, I felt entitled to a better approach than they were willing to offer. read more
