I moved to Malvern from the Wirral and needed a new hairdresser. I went randomly into divine and…read morehave been very pleased with all the treatments I have had, including a good cut. the girls are always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. nice atmosphere. as I arrive, I take a seat and have always been called within 3 - 5 minutes. cant fault them.

I went to Divine hair and Beauty as i was recommended by a friend. I could not get booked in with…read morethe stylist that she herself had but i was offered a senior stylist. The salon have various stylists available to suit all budgets and the more experienced stylists obvioulsy charge more. When i rang to book, i explained that i wanted a cut, colour and blow dry and that i wanted my hair finished by having it full and back combed because i was going to a ball. I was reassured that they had booked me in with the right person for the job and that this was not a problem. When i arrived they advised me that i would not be kept waiting much longer and then my stylist would be with me. I was offered a drink and invited to read the magazines which was fine. Ten minutes later my stylist came over and chatted to me about the colour and cut. She seemed to take on everything i asked for and she reconfirmed the colour with me and another girl who said to me that it will look really good. Following the colouring stage the stylist cut my hair into a new shape and style and she took her time and she seemed to know what she was doing. When she finished the cut i reiterated to her that i wanted height and volume and i wanted it all back combing because i was going to a ball on that evening. This is where it all went wrong. She could not get it to go under and her blow drying skills seemed to be poor. I then asked her if she could get some height and she said ok i will back comb it when its finished. When she turned the dryer off she then proceeded to straighten it and i then reminder her that the last thing i wanted was for my hair to be flat on my head and that i asked her if she remembered what I had asked for. At this point she seemed to lose interest and then showed me the back. I said once again that i liked the colour and cut but i did not want my hair flat for my ball. SHE THEN SAID OH WELL YOU CAN ALWAYS PUT IN YOUR VELCRO ROLLERS WHEN YOU GET HOME. At that point i knew that she could not achieve what i wanted and so i paid and then left the shop. i did not have any velcro rollers so i went on the off chance to another salon and asked if they could back comb it with lots of lacquer etc. They did this for me beautifully in no time at all and with no problems and charged me £15.00. THIS IS NOT GOOD AND A STYLIST SHOULD BE ABLE TO FINISH A HAIR STYLE WELL AS THIS IS AS IMPORTANT AS ANY OTHER PART OF THE HAIR PROCESS. IT MAY HAVE BEEN THAT THE STYLIST JUST DID NOT WANT TO MESS ANY FURTHER, IN WHICH CASE SHE SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO COMB IT OUT AT THE END.
