The drivers are usually quite friendly and easy to deal with and the fares are quite good compared to some other places in town. They drive quite safely, although they can get there a bit faster if you ask! I've used them on many an occasion after a night out and you really can trust them. The waiting room can be a bit grotty but at least you get to take shelter from the cold on a winter night.

After booking a cab via A&E in Halifax at 02:30am. The driver appeared after 10mins. I said "Have…read moreyou come to pick up Bob?". Driver said "I don't give a F**k what your name is" I then said "Are you going to Todmorden?" he said "Yes". I got into the cab. He didn't move, he then said "Money...First...My Friend". I said I had just been admitted into A&E with Kidney issues, and had no money on me. I will go nowhere until I get £40 upfront. I said I was told it was £18 from the the hospital to Tod. As I started to get out of the cab He said "My friend it could be 18...then proceeded to count to 40. The guy was clearly trying his luck...being a greedy money grabbing jerk, preying on those who are dependent on the cabs services. He drove me to a cash machine, where I took out £20, he didn't request the money, but he then drove me back. dropping me off 1 mile away from the requested destination. What a nice guy!! It is important I share my experience of this firm and especially this driver immediately. People who are unwell, do not need this form of shitty violation.

Previously, during lockdown, they had accepted a booking to collect a prescription for me after other firms had refused. I will always use Waterloo Taxis in future.
