There was no wait but the RN that I had an interview with made me extremely uncomfortable and was very judgy and snooty I didn't like my experience with her at all. She asked lots of personal questions that wasn't related to my care. I'm pregnant with my 3rd child but she still treated me like I didn't know what I was doing and treated me like I was doing something wrong since it took me a while to get an appointment and was almost 3 months pregnant and hadn't had an appointment yet. I am new to the area coming from the Midwest. I am in my mid 30s and have only have one gyno since I started going when I was 18. I was nervous to have to start fresh with a new gyno since my husband and I are in the middle of trying to have a child too. Teri Herman was my NP. She was very knowledgeable and spent quality time getting to know me and my background. I highly recommend this place. OMG. I'm new to the area and need to continue my hormone replacement therapy. This place sounded similar to my former women's clinic but it's NOT! Had to play phone tag to talk to someone about just making an appointment and when we finally spoke the woman was SNOOTY. It's May 1 and I need more hormones in mid-to late July, so it's not like I've waited until the last moment, but you'd have thought I'd have been asking for the stars - essentially, they won't even decide if they want me for a patient until sometime in August and before I get hormones, they want me to jump through a bunch of hoops, assuming for example, I'm not up-to-date on my mammograms, etc., which BTW, I am. All I can believe is that this clinic will treat me like garbage if the receptionist already has done so, so it's a HUGE PASS FOR ME. I'd fly back to my old clinic before I'd get anymore bad treatment from this one. read more

I absolutely love A Women's View. I've had the same Dr for 5 years. Dr Ann Gonzalez. She' feels like a best girlfriend. I can talk to her about anything and she always takes the time to listen. If a need a wick appointment because I start feeling bad. They always get me in the same or next day. Yes I might see one of her PA's. But they too are awesome ladies. Lab work, mammogram, it's all right there. I highly recommend A Women's View. read more

Ok let's just get this out of the way...I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Here are some highlights from my visit: 1. Awesome decor and decorations! I know this has nothing to do with medical treatment but if you have to go to the doctor wouldn't you rather feel like you're in Pier 1 versus the ER room? 2. Quick and easy check in. Finally someone got it right. 3. Amazing staff. My nurse Tina was so sweet and she even held and kept my son happy while I was being examined. I also saw Dr. Worrell who came in and gave me a big hug and I felt like I've known her forever! Everyone was extremely professional and knowledgeable which gives them an A+ in my book. I've never been so sad to leave a doctors office, I'm even considering having another baby just so I can see them more often! Lol just kidding! But seriously when I do have another one I will definitely be coming here. read more

The doctors here have no clue of what they're saying. Their method of passing patients around like livestock sucks. There is no consistency in the care and treatment of the patients and most times, they are clueless in their responses. They always have contradictory points of view that leave me and my wife asking friends or googling our questions to see which of their responses makes the most sense. These people suck. I have been going to A Woman's View for over 20 years now. I have always been treated with respect and kindness. My adult daughters also received medical exams and care here. I have had surgery with Dr. Lovin and it went very, very smoothly. I have been cared for in every way. I always get quick responses from staff and ongoing alerts in the portal when I need to come in for additional appointments like my mammogram. This is the most professional place in Hickory for women. Teri Herman is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She takes her time with me explaining things and providing any information I need. Dr. Kelly is very thorough and also has made me feel well taken care of and informed of things I need to be doing. The entire staff from radiology, the lab, the front desk, and all those involved in my appointments, I have had nothing but the very best care. I have never been rushed or misinformed on anything. The medical care provided here is exemplary. I gave five stars because the option for 10 stars was not a choice. I will never seek medical care any where else. This is a professional, caring, informative organization and I am so thankful they are here in Hickory. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our family. read more

I have not had any kids or pregnancies but I come here for all my gynecologist checkups. So far I have seen Dara Curtis on my first visit, Dr. Bilhorn, and Dr. Lovin for various issues and all of them have been extremely caring and genuine, especially Dr. Lovin. She sat with me for almost an hour talking about every treatment possibility. I feel a lot more informed and less worried now. I also love that the staff is all female. 4 stars instead of 5 because I have had some slightly more difficult visits, but overall I would recommend this place. read more

I was RUSHED thru and not listen to on more than one occasion by my FNP. It was obvious I was irritating her with my issues. It made me feel so small and utterly insignificant to her. I have not been back to her since and I wont go back. I am disabled and did attempt to work a part-time job once this year. Yes this does have an end I promise!! LOL! I had missed one of my appointments there because I have no cell service inside my house so when they called to remind me of my appt I did not get the message. OK my fault. Then I had a mammogram scheduled and sent them a message MONTHS before that I had it done MONTHS before. I even told my FNP Kim Rector, she knew and again I sent them a message on portal. SO, I had to make monthly payments to pay off my $50 balance for missed doctor visits. When I went in for my next appointment I had my $5 for my co-pay but NOT the remaining $5 I need to pay for the charges for my SO CALLED missed appointments. I was treated like TRASH in front of staff, other patients and began to cry uncontrollably. I was asked when did I plan to get a job. Why could I not work now. I was treated like a criminal over $5. Little did they know my issues were serious and NOT what they thought. They took my $5 but would not see me saying it was taking me too long to pay it off. I had to wait another 45 days to be seen. I was sick. They refused to refill my meds so I went without. I see another doctor regularly and he knows my situation and DOES not ask for my co-pay or any past due balance. I pay it everytime I have it. He makes it a habit NOT to trash and embarrass his patients. He says he does not get rich on no show fees or co pays. LOL! I was going through a HORRID divorce(13 years of marriage) and just lost my $250,000 home in South Charlotte and my $80,000 job due to my Chronic illness and disability because I had exhausted all my time off and disability payouts. I was a Human Resource Specialist and If those people had worked for my company they would have been fired on the spot for unprofessional behavior. YOU should never make someone cry.I had also just taken my Mom into my rental house to live with me. She has dementia. She had been hospitalized for 3 months and in rehab for 2 and I had no other choice. I was Totally broke. Chronically Ill unable to work, taking care of my Mom, living in my Dad's rental house rent free. Doing my best everyday. I am NOT TRASH I am an educated woman. I was raised well. I don't drink, smoke, or any of that. I am childless due AGAIN to an Illness. Make no mistake I did not grow up in a trashy home with people who did not pay their bills. MY Brother is a CPA, I was a business woman/HR/Healthcare coordinator. Mom worked for Corning for 35 year and my Dad for the United States Post office. We are NOT Stupid People. I also have issue with a medication I was put on. I was given an inject able medication without even being tried on the pill for first. This was an accidental slip on my doctors fault. I found this out when I got a bill from the Pharmacy Company wanting their money for my inject able. I have insurance which should have covered 100% of the med. NOPE not according to the Pharmacy but according to the doctor it did because she thought she was giving me a pill. WTF??? SO NOW I am taking NOTHING. I am sick again because of this mistake and have a HUGE HUGE bill to pay because of them.NOT to mention it took them months to even get me the injection. WTF?? I give up. I have another Horror story but I am honestly just TIRED of talking about them. But I will finish with this. IF you know the doctors there you can get ANYTHING you want or need. Xanax, Adderal, Ambien, whatever. Even if you have serious problem with alcohol. ( I know this because I have a friend who goes there) Now if you have a serious anxiety disorder that has required you take one of these med along with your medications along with an antidepressant they will tell you they don't prescribe them. It's all about who you know I guess. Some rules apply to some but NOT TO OTHERS. I don't really care about that but just another example of the FAKE NICE you are dealing with here. This practice and my FNP KIM RECTOR never helped me with anything. FAKE NICE. I am a very nice person even tempered woman and rarely get upset but I do think ladies who are considering going here should be careful. It might be ok if you don't need much. If you are just there for a pap smear, or a quick simple visit. THis place is not equipped for woman with issues any worse than simple depression or pap smears. If you need more DON"T GO unless you know the doctor then you can get the care you need. Also don't go if you don't like getting JUDGED. THEY will judge you without knowing a thing about you. I drive 2+ hours to A Woman's View, simply because the doctors are amazing just as well as the staff, Dr Alicia Walsh absolutely rocks this place, she is absolutely amazing, and no matter what the diagnosis she goes out of her way with a beautiful calmness to relax your nerves. Dr Jessica Gibney is just as amazing, and both of these women are working to get you results and find out what you have going on. And for this reason, I WILL continue to drive this distance instead of choosing closer doctors, because I am relaxed here and trust these doctors. And their staff, and I would like to mention the check out receptionist....... Wanda.... she is ALWAYS amazing as well, such a sweet lady, so polite and sweet. And checking in also goes well, though I didn't get that young ladies name, she always tells me to have a blessed day, and that in itself is such a blessing to me. I wholeheartedly recommend A Woman's View! Where a woman can be a relaxed woman, and still have the very BEST of care! read more

I absolutely love A Woman's View. First of all, it is actually relaxing to walk into the office--what?? You read that right. I have had nothing but positive experiences with both of my providers (Teri Herman for gym and Kim Rector for primary care) and they will hear you out on all your problems, concerns, or just take the time to talk to you like a real human. They are suppose to cater to women but they are overpriced and over-rated. Some of the doctors are good but others aren't. Sadly if you have depression/anxiety (like 10-20% of women) they get weird about prescribing you medication, they did with me over my irritable bowel spasms. I had my daughter in 2013, & I went here. I still come here for primary care. I see Karen Gimblet, whom I love. She always listens to me & talks to me like a friend. I feel like I can talk to her about anything and she doesn't judge me. I also love Latoya her nurse. when I was pregnant, I had to go through the rotation of doctors, seeing as one of them (whoever is on call when you go into labor) would be delivering my baby & they want you to be comfortable with all of them. I DO NOT LIKE DR. MONTES. AT ALL. I was 18 when I had my daughter. Motes was super judgmental, & rude. she told me 'I shouldn't be having a child at my age'. true or not; first of all, you're here to do your job, not make rude comments to PATIENTS. I'm sure you've had 16 year olds in here pregnant too. 2nd, its none of her business. she really should've kept her mouth shut. when I was induced, I saw Montes' car in the parking lot & started crying... She was switching shifts & THANKFULLY, Dr. Harraghy delivered my daughter & was AMAZING!!! - I also had an appointment at 12 one day to be put on anxiety medication. They were having a pizza party & I waited 40 minutes to be seen. I was livid. I ended up spending an hour & a half in the office that day. They said "sorry we are running behind." but I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room, & EVERY nurse was shoving her face instead of working. DONT MAKE APPOINTMENTS DURING "LUNCH TIME" if you are going to be too busy to take them. ALSO, one night, I was having severe pelvic pain, & having pain when I urinated. It was about 7 at night, & the office was closed, so I called the doctor on call, just to see how I could alleviate my pain until they opened. It was Teri Herman. She was SO cruel to me. She said, word for word, "are you really calling the Doctor on Call for this? You are really bothering me right now over what sounds to me like a UTI? take Tylenol." I was appalled at this. like I said earlier about Montes, I don't care what you think, JUST KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. I'm sure someone has "bothered" you over something way less important & seemed silly to you. As it turned out, I had bilateral kidney stones, a kidney infection & spent a few days in the hospital. Take that Teri Herman, ya rude old lady. So my point is, theres good & bad everywhere you go. I love Karen G, & Dr. Harraghy, Kim Rector, & Dara Curtis. The rest of them? not so much. read more
