I realized I would need some professional help getting it out. A quick survey of urgent care in the valley didn't have a lot of options on a Saturday. But Glacier Medical Associates stood out like a good option. The front desk was able to confirm they would be able to help remove the hook and checked me in. The medical staff got me situated and Dr Maaliki came in with a plan. I ended up fainting during the procedure, but the crew handled it no problem. I ended up walking out with my fly in a jar and not in my hand. I would recommend going to Glacier Medical Associates for your urgent needs.

I was pushed off onto her when my primary care physician became the urgent care doctor and was unable to see me on a regular basis. The other female providers at Glacier Medical aren't seeing new patients and so Tara Smith Garcia was my only option. What a poor option. Not only did she overlook/dismiss a huge part of my diagnosis, she ordered the wrong x-ray and the wrong medication for me. When I had an allergic reaction to the medication she did order and I let her know and instead of communicating with me, she simply put in my chart that I was in eligible for any medication in that class. Zero communication and zero meds! I had to go to urgent care AGAIN to get a medication that would work in that class and there were several dozen. The urgent care doctor shook her head in dismay that Tara Smith Garcia actually wrote in my chart without that I was "ineligible" for all considering other medication's for my condition. WILD! I was prescribed an appropriate medication on the spot By the urgent care Dr. The urgent care doctor was also able to order a x-ray and diagnose a very serious issue for me that Smith Garcia missed completely. If you are recommended to see this doctor, I suggest you decline. Some of the other doctors at Glacier Medical Associates are competent and quite fine but Tara Smith Garcia is not.

Please do not go to Dr. Nargi if you are non-binary or looking for a reduction!…read more Below is the formal complaint I made to the Montana Board of Medical Examiners after trying to handle my complaint directly with Dr. Nargi and her clinic coordinator, Tiffany. To whom it may concern, I had a consultation with Dr. Nargi in January of 2020 for a breast reduction to manage my condition of macromastia. My breasts significantly decreasing in my quality of life by; causing tension headaches at a frequency of four to six times a week, jaw and lower back pain, severe body dysmorphia, and anxiety. Although I am unsure of my original cup size (as I couldn't wear bras) I believe I was around an F or G cup (see attached photos). I mentioned to her that I had considered FTM top surgery and am non-binary but I wasn't sure about total loss of sensation. She said that we could do top surgery but also a very large reduction. Dr. Nargi, when asked if she could get me to a B-cup, assured me that my surgery goal was realistic and could be completed. On February 11th, 2020, I had a breast reduction for which I paid $5,733.00 (see included receipt) and with the knowledge that Whitefish Plastic Surgery doesn't do prior authorizations and I would have to request insurance coverage later. I woke up from that surgery as an E (see attached post op photos). I immediately made my dissatisfaction known to the provider, Dr. Nargi assured me that the swelling would take weeks to go down. In my two week and four week the same was repeated. After the four week post op, she scheduled a six month and told me that sometimes it can take that long time for the swelling to go down. At my six month, I was the same size. When I confronted Dr. Nargi about the discrepancy, she admitted that she had told me that I would get to a B and that my goal was surgically feasible. When I asked why it didn't happen, she replied, "I don't know." Dr. Nargi offered another surgery for only the cost of the surgical bra. I clarified with her again that my original goal was realistic, she confirmed. On August 20th, 2020, I had another breast reduction performed by Dr. Nargi (also in her clinic under local anesthesia) and reminded her one last time while she was marking me that I'd like to be so small "a sports bra could make me flat chested". When she walked out, my mother, Pamela Roth, asked if I wanted a mirror to see where she marked and warned me that she did not think it was enough tissue. I declined, believing that there would be no way Dr. Nargi would do it again. And I woke up from that surgery at a DD. I also had a post op infection and had to have the stitches pulled out as they did not dissolve and grew out of my breast tissue for six weeks after the procedure. At this point, I went to my last post op and didn't say anything else as I was not willing to have a third surgery under her. A previous patient of hers that I worked with also confided in me that although her breast appearance was great, she did not reach her reduction goal either with Dr. Nargi- she was looking at going to a different surgeon as well. My insurance also declined to cover the surgery, citing that lack of tissue taken making it a purely cosmetic procedure. In the two years since, I have had to continue to pay for Chiropractic care and massage therapy out of pocket (please see attached documentation). I have had episodes of disordered eating in order to make my breasts smaller as well as over-exercising and starvation. I have also had emergency room visits for migraines and pinched nerves in my neck. The most recent of which resulted in my primary care Doctor, Ivory Drendel, making a physical therapy referral and I have been going two times a week. Recently, with the help of my therapist, I have set another appointment at Lift Plastic Surgery in Missoula. I sent a letter to Dr. Nargi explaining my disappointment and asking for a refund to put towards the cost of my upcoming surgery. Dr. Nargi and her staff maintain that my surgical goal was reached and no wrongdoing was committed. Included in this packet are those emails as well. Dr. Nargi, for some reason, decided that I would look better with larger breasts regardless of my gender identity, diagnoses, pain, and personal request for my surgical goal. No one is immune from bias and my goal is that Dr. Nargi be educated on her own bias and non-binary healthcare to prevent another patient from having to go through what I went through.

Oh my gosh what a nice place. Friendly, very caring and quick to get to the patient. It was my husband I had to bring in the emergency room and the staff made us feel good about treatment and after care. I really liked this hospital and the staff. Kudos to them all. Would never hesitate to have to return here for any medical care.

When he was discharged to us a few days ago, they reassured us that they added his granddaughter and me as contacts in his file. On the phone, they refused to talk to either of us about him today, and just told us to take him to urgent care or the ER. I figured he would be seen more quickly at Glacier Medical associates (since I have waited for many hours in the past to be seen in an ER), and we had him at that urgent care clinic as soon as they opened their doors at 11a. They drew blood and checked his urine, then sent us to the NVH ER. Upon our arrival there, they drew blood again, even though we told them that the clinic had just sent them those results. If insurance refuses to cover the duplicate, same-day tests, we are in for a long battle. Then we are told that he has a stomach abcess that they somehow missed before. On top of that, NVH doesn't have the right equipment to fix it, so they ambulanced him to Kalispell Regional hospital (KRH). We tried to refuse the ambulance ride and take him ourselves, but they would not let us. Another bill? Also, before he was transferred, we begged them to let him sign papers so they would talk to his granddaughter and me. They refused, saying he would have to request that in person himself tomorrow. But now he is at KRH, so how do we do that? They operated on him at KRH and tell us to expect a 3-5 day hospitalization. They tell us that no one can stay with him past 5pm, but he was wheeled out of surgery and placed back in the ER, waiting for a real hospital room, so the granddaughter is allowed to stay with him until he gets moved (again.) We are utterly exhausted. My review on Thursday was five stars; now it is one. 6/11/20 I have been fighting Kalispell Regional Hospital for several weeks now to get decent care for myself. My senior friend landed in the hospital at North Valley on Monday and just got released today. The 2 hospital experiences were night and day, mostly thanks to the AMAZING nurse Larry S. at NVH. If only every medical professional met his high standard of care.
