I like the concept, but for me this is not the sort of place I would go if you are on a romantic getaway in Milan. This place is good if you want to drink looots of beer preferable with a bunch of friends. We were a couple and it was fun to try a Yard of beer, but we left shortly after we had finished the beer. The downside to me, might have been the toilets. One toilet had no lock, no light and no toilet paper (I did not go in there), the other toilet, to my big surprise had light and paper! But the floor, oh man, the floor! For me a clean toilet is sort of important. So, this place is not for everyone, but if you are looking for lots of beer, this is the place for you!

I organized here an aperitivo with other Yelpers so we could speak in English. There was a bit of a misunderstanding since that night the Pub had also an English aperitivo with a teacher and activities in the downstairs space and they thought our reservation was to participate in that one. Luckily, they found us some space upstairs (after some waiting) and we were comfortably seated. What I didn't like was the few food that was brought to us as "aperitivo food", I was not expecting a typical Milanese buffet, but something other than popcorn would have been appreciated. They have dinner options but I didn't get to see the menu. 2 people in our party ordered some food and it looked good (not very English-pub portions, though). Also, I would have appreciated a printed menu with the beers they had, sure the nice waitress did her best to help us pick one based on our preferences but I would have liked to read more about the beer before ordering it. I had a cider (didn't like its taste) and a nice Sierra Nevada, suggested by Yelper Raquel. Prices are high, even if you consider the beer quality, it's central Milan, blah, blah, blah - there's always an excuse not to keep reasonable prices. Anyhow, the atmosphere was OK and our evening was nice (loved meeting and getting to speak with everyone in our party), unfortunately I was expecting more from the place. They have a great selection of burgers that looked beautiful when served. Had a quick panini as we had to get back to MiCo. The wait staff gave great selections of local Italian stout and IPA. Wonderful place, wonderful people, wonderful beer. If you are looking for a nice Italian pub and are in the area, a stop at BQ is an imperative.
