The teachers and staff there are very supportive of the child's growth and needs. The school also offers a nice playground in the back and a large open grass area in front of the school for kids to play and explore nature during playtime. In addition to regular class activities, Village Little also offers educational sports programs where kids can enroll weekly. These programs introduce kids to a variety of sports, build confidence, and help them develop a love of fitness from a young age. My daughter comes home and shows us what she learned that week, and it puts a smile on our faces that she had fun and learned something new each week. Village Little also goes above and beyond during special holidays and summer to provide meaningful events for the kids. For example, while my daughter was there, they hosted a petting zoo day where locals brought in small animals (rabbits, sheep, turtles, etc.), bouncing house day where kids can jump in spacious and good quality bounce houses with slides, a magic day where kids saw a magician demonstrate various magic tricks, etc. My daughter loved all these special events and had a great time. My daughter had a great time at VL, and we were very pleased with the school overall.

West San Jose

This review has been long overdue. It's been three months since my daughter last attended Happy…read moredaycare, and just today while we were playing, she suddenly said, "Hurry up!" -- the first time I've ever heard her say that. I assumed it was something her new teachers say, but she quickly corrected me: "No, no, Andrea says hurry up!" She then went right back to playing, laughing and calling out, "hurry up hurry up!!" That moment alone speaks volumes about how much Andrea means to my daughter. She started at Happy daycare when she was just 1.5 years old. As a first-time mom, I cried on her first day, and Arti sat with me, gently reassuring me that we just needed to give her time to build trust. I can't express how much it meant knowing they understood this was her first time away from home. Within a week, the tears stopped. On her last day, I was the one still in tears because Andrea wouldn't be caring for my little girl anymore. Andrea is incredibly kind and patient. She cared for my daughter with so much warmth that even on weekends, my little one would ask to go see her and this happened more times than I can count. I never had to worry about food it was all taken care of at the daycare. During a medical emergency with my daughter, both Andrea and Arti stayed with her until I arrived, then remained by my side as we figured out the next steps. My daughter still misses Andrea to this day, and I know she will for a long time.

My daughter joined this day care (the one run by Andrea) when she was 14 months old. She was there…read morefor 4.5 months. Here is our honest review Pros: 1. The day care is pretty large. They have several rooms, a patio and a large backyard with several toys and play stations. Separate nap room with cribs is one of the main reasons we sent our daughter here. 2. They feed 3 meals + 2 snacks in a day. Note that snacks are mostly something small like crackers, pretzels, cheese sticks etc. Meals typically include oats, pasta, cheese quesadillas, paratha, idly, rice, some dal variant with veggies etc. 3. My daughter went in and came home happily every day. She started speaking and kept asking for her friends in the day care even during the weekends. Cons: 1. The kid to caretaker ratio promised is misleading. For more than half the time my daughter went here, we did not see any other care taker other than Andrea, based on the pictures we were sent and after taking to multiple kid's parents. For eg, if there are only 6 kids in certain days/weeks, likely it is run by just Andrea. They don't always honor the ratio. Caretakers are rotated across the other day cares they have. In a center-based day care, ratio is always maintained whether or not some kids are on leave. That is not done here. 2. The main reason we preferred a home based day care as opposed to a center based one is - home based day cares can be more intimate. More attention towards every kid. All other home based day cares that we tried for have several themed weeks, festival celebrations, kid's birthday celebrations, farewell parties, parents meet n greet etc. Do not expect any such things here. They do the basic care taking. 3. My daughter came home several times with food dried up on her face. They may not be cleaning up promptly and thoroughly after meal times. Overall, it's a decent day care that tends to kids well.

Liz has done a great job of creating a warm, safe, and structured place for children to learn, play, and grow. My daughter started there at 16 months, and on her very first day felt so comfortable and welcomed, that as soon as she saw the inside of FSLH and felt its warmth, she walked right in and didn't even look back to say goodbye! Not to say there weren't some tough days, as it can be challenging for young kids to understand that parents have to work, but Liz and her staff are all so loving and nurturing, and keep the children so engaged with fun learning activities and play time, that the children, much like mine, quickly adapt. Fast forward through the infant/ toddler programs to her recent "graduation" from the FSLH preschool program at age 4, and my daughter knows her letters, numbers , and knows how to write her name-- she is so ready for TK! I should mention that Liz and her staff also provide instruction in Spanish, so my daughter was able to learn and practice two languages while there. Also provided are two delicious and healthy meals (breakfast and lunch) and an afternoon snack, which my daughter and her FSLH friends enjoyed, but was also such a huge help and relief for me, as a busy single working Mom, not to have to worry about preparing those meals. As a first time Mom, I also felt very fortunate to have the support of someone like Liz with years of experience as a Mom, educator, and a daycare provider...and so I feel I learned a lot from FSLH, as did my daughter. Most importantly, and the best part of First Steps Learning Home, is that the staff always made my daughter feel so loved and special, from the moment she walked through the door every morning at drop off, until it was time to say goodbye at pick-up. Thank you, Ms. Liz, Ms. Alejandra, Ms. Paola and all of the wonderful FSLH staff throughout the years that made my daughter's daycare/preschool experience such a success and one that we will always cherish.

Miss Liz and Miss Alejandra have been exceptional in their care and attention. Their genuine affection for each child is apparent in everything they do. They create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where each child feels valued and loved. Their dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment is truly commendable. The family-like feel of the daycare is something I particularly cherish. There's a palpable sense of community and connection among the staff, children, and parents. It's this environment that has made my son's time here so enriching and joyful. My son and I do not speak Spanish so I can't overlook the incredible benefit of my son becoming bilingual thanks to the immersive language experience at First Steps Learning. The language-rich environment provided by Miss Liz has played a crucial role in his language development, and I couldn't be happier with his progress. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better daycare experience for my son. First Steps Learning has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my sons growth and development. If you're looking for a place where your child will be cared for, cherished, and encouraged to learn and thrive, I highly recommend First Steps Learning. We miss you FSL!!!

They each have spent 3 years under her care from i.e. 7m to 3.5 years, till they were ready for school. She and her team are well organized and are very flexible. My kids have had a great time and we could see the all round development. She has made it easier for us in teaching them various skills. She adapts to the child and helps them work through things. My daughter was very happy the entire time she was there and sapna is very accommodating and responsive. She exposed my daughter to variety of home cooked foods and I really appreciate that, since she was exposed to all variety of foods from the beginning she isn't a picky eater. She makes the kids pretty independent as well whether it's cleaning up after playing or eating your own food. If there is anything you prefer being done any other way you can just let her know and she is very accommodating and will do it your way. She has a lot of experience with young kids and you can discuss any issue/ challenges you are facing regarding your kid and she can give you lot of suggestions based on experience. Even though my daughter doesn't go there anymore I still ask sapna if I need help with my daughter at home. We even sent our son there for a brief amount of time and would've liked him to continue there but the daycare was closed for a little while. Happy that a good quality daycare is opening again and we would really recommend her daycare.

Going with Theresa's was the best decision we could have made - Theresa, David and Sharon have always given my daughter (and now my son) the best care possible. During her 2.5 years at Theresa's she learned how to speak and sing in Chinese, was potty trained, and play well with others. Theresa's daycare offers both lunch and dinner, which is awesome knowing that the kids are already well fed once we pick them up in the evening. My daughter has graduated from Theresa's now, but she still misses "Ah-yi" and asks about her and the remaining friends often. If you're looking for a family daycare with teachers who truly care for your kids like their own, I'd highly recommend Theresa's!

Through the past 2.5 years Theresa's DC has been a truly lifesaver for our family. As the first time parent, we didn't have much knowledge in terms of raising child, plus both my husband and myself have a busy working schedule. Theresa has deep knowledge on how to take care and educate younger kids. My son started walking pretty late and couldn't walk when he first started. Theresa and Sharon treated him with patience and I've seen many times when we picked him up, they were holding his hands and teaching him how to walk. In couple of months after he started at Theresa's, he could walk by himself (and we didn't teach him at home). Later on he also learned the numbers, 26 letters, share toys with others, got potty trained, etc. In the morning when weather is good, they usually take the kids to the nearby park to get some exercise and sunshine. Another plus is that they serve both lunch dinner. So we didn't need to cook for my son after we picked him up. During the pandemic, Theresa's DC has been extremely cautious to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and their families. We felt very fortunate that our son stayed there during COVID. I would definitely recommend Theresa's Family Daycare to all the parents that are looking for childcare for their younger ones!

When she started with NuNu at 18 months old, those worries disappeared immediately. NuNu provided a loving, nurturing environment that instantly put my mind at ease. Throughout our time there, communication was excellent. NuNu sent pictures and videos throughout the day so we could see what our daughter was up to, and she always discussed any issues that came up. As the kids grew older, NuNu had a wonderful way of recognizing each child's unique personality and interests. She made sure to offer activities that matched what they enjoyed, whether that was calm puzzle time and coloring for the girls who preferred that, or active play for the boys who wanted to run around. She truly supported what made each child feel complete. Our daughter stayed with NuNu all the way until she started TK at age 4. She made great friends there that we still see even after leaving! We were sad to go when it was time for TK, but we recommend NuNu 1000/100! If you're looking for someone who will care for your child like family, this is the place.

We felt that he was safe and cared for. She has a pretty strict policy on sickness, coughs, and runny noses, so the kids were generally able to keep healthy. There was a bit of an inconsistency with her "helper." I understand that Nunu cannot control if her employees stay; however, more consistency would have been ideal. We love Nunu!

Due to our original center closing, we were forced to move, and weren't happy with our second center. Fortunately, after all that, we landed at BH Cupertino. What sets Cupertino apart is the person at the top: Leslie. The area in which we live is incredibly expensive, so to have assembled the amazing, talented staff she has and to have kept so many of them for as long as she has is nothing short of remarkable. Our kids have been in almost all of the rooms in this center (for 2.5 years), and the teachers all provide love and personal attention to all the kids. They are genuinely concerned about the children's well being, and it shows. In the case in which we had a concern with one of the staff, Leslie was very easy to talk to and extremely responsive. She made sure our concerns were immediately addressed and not repeated. Leslie is awesome, and the small amount of turnover shows her staff thinks so as well. As for the amazing, talented staff...seriously, they are both of those. The staff at this location are so personally involved with the kids it makes it easier to drop them off in the morning. You will never have perfect hiring, but this place is as close as it gets and the staff sincerely LOVES the kiddos they teach. In summary, we are grateful that our kids were able to go here, and if you are looking for a new daycare I can't recommend it more.

I don't recommend any parents send their infant to this provider because of two reasons: 1. The infant room is SUPER noisy, and teachers let infants cry. I don't know why but it's always very noisy no matter what time I visit. Sometimes teachers are so busy and let multiple kids cry for a long time. My son usually doesn't cry at home and all nannies say he is a very calm boy, but after the first day in this daycare, he cried too much and lost his voice when he was back home. 2. It's not a good environment to take naps. Crib area is next to activity area so the napping area is also noisy. My son usually has 1.5 hour long nap at home. I understand it might be different in daycare, but he never took a nap longer than 30mins there, and every night he looks exausted back home. I do appreciate teachers' hard work because taking care of infants is not easy. I also like how easy to go outside from the infant room. However, compare to some other providers, this is not an ideal choice for infants. Hope this review can be helpful for some new parents, especially if you are considering Broght Horizons, I suggest to take tours in other locations so you will have better ideas.

When our daughter started as an infant, Karen would put her in the outdoor porch swing and sing songs to her and interact with her all day. As our daughter has grown, the interactions have changed of course but never the amount of attention or care. She is a year and a half now and she already knows the entire alphabet as well as her colors, her shapes and literally too many songs to count (with motions - adorable!). She is very verbal and she has a fantastic vocabulary which we credit largely to Karen's care. When we were looking for a daycare, things that were important to us included a safe and loving environment, good communication w/ the provider, value on books, reading and learning and a good amount of outside play. Karen provides all that and so much more to her small group of children at her home. She really goes above and beyond to tailor her care to each individual child. My daughter is a picky eater, for example, and Karen is very aware of that, even making her some special 'veggie bread' so she is getting at least some vegetables in her day! Karen has a large front yard with countless pieces of play equipment for the kids, and they spend hours outside on nice days, which my daughter loves. The ideal would be licensed, in a home environment, with several other children, not too many children that mine would be ignored, loving caretaker, nutritious foods, lots of toys and books, safe home and play areas, great communication, reasonable rates, etc. My husband thought I would never find anybody with my long list; however, I stumbled upon Karen and Cupertino Little Stars. My first day back to work was very hard, yet I felt better knowing that my precious baby was being cared for by Karen. She has been so thoughtful and accommodating. We receive notes each day to let us know how our baby's day was. She will call to check in. With not having much family nearby, Karen ("Nana") is the closest person we have. I am so glad that she is a part of our lives. Our baby is flourishing and thriving because of her help. He is learning educational songs, following along while the bigger children read books, practicing his musical skills, observing "how to behave", and having fun at the same time. While her rates are not the cheapest, I do not care. I know that you "get what you pay for". I only want the best for my baby and the first five years are so important. He enjoys going to Nana's each day as I can tell when he starts to smile as soon as we walk up the driveway. I enjoy knowing that he is well taken care of while I'm at work. It's a comfort level that not many daycare providers can accomplish. I am so very glad there was space for our precious baby when we needed it.
