I had been putting off writing a review for Daniel Dunlap Photography - but only because I was…read morestruggling to find a way to adequately describe the awesomeness that is Daniel Dunlap. Working with Daniel was a dream come true for an individual much like myself who 1. Is virtually clueless about photography, 2. Is not a fan of being the center of attention (thus the thought of having someone snapping photos of me all day was a bit unnerving) and 3. Values the importance of having--as cliché as this may sound--a once-in-a-lifetime event chronicled in beautifully memorable imagery. Daniel was hilariously easy-going, incredibly responsive, the stealthiest "fly on the wall" and equally respectful of everyone's time. Not only was he always quick to respond to our many questions and requests (literally within 30 minutes every time we reached out to him), but he was so laid back and confident in his work that it put us completely at ease - making our uncooperative shih tzu the only point of concern throughout both our engagement session and the wedding day. (Side note: Daniel is great with dogs.) Not only did Daniel just "have an eye" for the best, most beautiful and most memorable shots, but he was also so quick(!) - a trait that our families and friends really appreciated, especially when it came to the big group photos. I heard a lot of "That's it? That was fast!" after our family was reprieved from their photo posing duties. But perhaps what I loved most about Daniel was the end result - the photos. I barely shed a tear on my wedding day, but when looking through the moments Daniel captured on our big day--especially the ones we didn't even realize he was taking--I nearly turned into a blubbering child. If that doesn't give you any indication of how incredible Daniel is at photography, I'm not sure what does. I can't sing enough high praises for Daniel Dunlap Photography - he was, without a doubt, one of the best parts of our wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Words cannot express how amazing Royce Forbusch is! I cannot believe what a wonderful experience I…read morehad with Royce from start to finish! Where do I begin?! I live in Chicago, but planned a wedding in Omaha, Nebraska. From our initial phone conversation, I felt immediately relaxed. Royce joked with me and let me ask as many questions as I wanted without making me feel like I was being a crazy bride. She also followed up with emails as the wedding got closer. Two-three weeks before the wedding, I was in town and asked if Royce would mind if I stopped to by to actually meet her in person. Even though it was last minute on a Saturday and she had a wedding to photograph that afternoon, she still carved out time in her day to meet with me and my fiance. The Big Day finally came and looking back, I can't imagine having any other photographer next to my side the entire day. We booked the "all day package" and it was totally worth it. Royce showed up at the hair salon before we did and immediately settled in with me and my bridesmaids. She is so incredibly laid back and wonderful- she fit right in to our little group and by the end of the night, I actually was sad she she had to leave! The next morning, my sister and I joked that we wanted to be her friend in real life. She was that cool. We just got our photos back (almost 900 photos in a two week turnaround!) and they are AMAZING! I posted a couple here so you could see her work. Royce is such an amazing photographer and I cannot imagine having a better experience with any other photographer (I know I already said that but it's something worth repeating). She made me and my fiance feel like we were the most important people- there was none of that superior feeling I felt with other photographers. Your wedding day is one of the most special and intimate days of your life- be sure to pick a photographer who not only recognizes that but highlights it! Last note: Royce's prices are unbelievably low. In a couple of years, I wouldn't doubt that people are paying twice what I did to have her book their weddings! Get her while you can!

Voila, there was Royce. She has a way of making everybody feel comfortable as she's shooting. It's very clear that she's a people person who loves her job. I think my fiance and I were laughing throughout the duration of our engagement session. When it came time for the wedding photos, we (along with our families) were at ease throughout photo after photo because she made it fun. As with any event vendor, communication response time is important. Royce was very responsive when I emailed, and I never felt worried about the status of our plans (nothing's worse than emailing a vendor who takes several days to respond, or who you repeatedly have to chase after). A+ for professionalism and communication. I'm very pleased with the photos we received! Nearly 900 total, also in about two week's turn-around time. Granted I had a winter wedding, but still... I should also add, as the other reviewer did, that her prices are exceptionally reasonable, especially given her talent. Can't stress how much we enjoyed working with her. She was a blast to have at the wedding. Even my DJ commented how great she was.

But the room is so loud that you can't hear the other people speak at your own table. The space is like a warehouse and any noise just bounces off the walls, ceiling, and floor. Carpet would help with this, but even noise-reducing panels on the ceiling would be so helpful. They could even be white to blend in with the ceiling. The sound may not be a problem with a smaller crowd, but my husband and I are still talking about how damn loud it was inside the building. Thank goodness the weather was perfect that evening because the only respite we had from the noise was the outdoor area.
