North West Septic - Giant pile of sewage

She calls Ryan from Northwest Septic after seeing an advertisement by our house. Ryan comes out, seems friendly at first until the bill comes. Price or payment was never discussed until he pumps it all out. $1000 price tag and my wife asked about payments, NOPE not at all. He pumps all the septic back in our tank and decided to drive through the yard, tank uncapped, leaving raw sewage from the back of the house to the very front of the driveway and then decides to cap his tank off. All caught on video as well ‍ it's unfortunate that you can't leave negative stars. Also, wife called some other companies with a price of $550-$650. STEER CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY. Better service and prices elsewhere

We contacted Evergreen first ( they ARE a good company) but they couldn't get to us for a couple of weeks and we wanted to get the job out of the way before leaving town. So we saw the ad for NW Septic and gave them a try. BIG MISTAKE. They claimed to have pumped 1500 gallons out of our 1000 gal/2 chamber tank - without even opening the second chamber. There was no backup to the house and no problem with the drain field. We get nothing but rudeness and unprofessional behavior in contacting Ryan Lyles and have since learned the company isn't even licensed for work in Washington. They cheat, they lie, they prey on the unsuspecting.

A sewer scope found the blockage in the sewer but was unable to find the spot where the rain drains tied in so the actual root cause was never determined. The whole line was bad but I replaced only the section that plugged up to save money until I could afford to fix it properly. Since then the basement stayed dry despite multiple heavy rains. Once I saved enough I had Black Rock Underground replaced my sewer pipe in May 2022. They were hired by the city to work on the main sewer line for the block, I didn't know much about them but because my sewer line tied into the one they were already working on they only charged be $2,800 to replace my whole line!!! A few weeks after replacing the sewer pipe it flooded again (we had record braking rain fall). I figured it was because they had to disconnected my rain drains in order to meet the city's current codes. I knew the codes and didn't blame them for it, it had to happen. After researching the different options to reliably waterproof the basement I finally called them a few weeks ago in hopes they remembered something about the work that might help me decide the best fix. They immediately offered to come investigate. Britt came out, scoped all my drains, put water down them, located them and marked their depth. I had paid two different companies for the same service Britt did back when it first flooded, both were unhelpful so I didn't expect much. I'm not sure if the other guys didn't know what they were doing or just didn't care but I was blown away by Britt's feedback, he genuinely cared and went above and beyond my expectations trying to figure out the root cause. His feedback was extremely helpful, insightful, and thorough. I'd praise him more but I'm tired of typing. I want to buy this guy a beer!! THANK YOU BRITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exceptional friendly service beyond any thing I could ever imagine from this family owned business…read more Laura and Sarah are each helpful over the phone and in person. I had difficulty picking a Yelp category for this business as they are a tool and equipment rental but also do camping, clamming, party and baby supplies. "You can't take a gun on the airplane" I just hate it when people tell me what I can't do. "but it's not a gun, it's a CLAM gun" a clam tube, a clam rifle, or sucker. A clam gun is about two and a half feet long and will not fit in a carry on suit case, nor will it fit in the overhead compartment nor under a seat. Besides I didn't own a clam gun and the cost to purchase one on ebay or Amazon.com is around $50 and I needed two. The cost to check a bag on the flight is $25. So it was beginning to look like a very expensive Zen clamming trip. Ever since I saw the Youtube video, Monster clams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBxERHMUwrA I've wanted to try clamming on Klipsan Beach in Washington. I had booked the flight, booked the condo, and even signed up for the clam digging "lesson". But every one I talked to in Long Beach, Washington told me there was NO ONE who rented clam guns so even if I purchased two up there I would have to leave them behind. After much searching, I did find a web site for All Rents (they say they are updating the website). http://allrentsinc.webs.com/ Laura was very helpful on the phone and said yes, they did rent clam guns. I reserved two guns for the weekend we needed and slept much better knowing I had all my ducks in a row for a great weekend. When we went to pick up the diggers we were reminded that we needed to purchase shellfish licenses, which we did in Washington. The cost...for the two diggers $14. The memories...Priceless.
