I hired JK Landscaping (Jerry Konz) to build a boulder wall along my driveway, grade a portion of…read morethe yard for run-off, and for lakeshore work to prevent erosion. His crew came out in February and put down rip-rap along the lakeshore, filled in gaps with black dirt, and laid down erosion blanket. He committed to fixing any issues that came up in the spring. He also said his guys would pick up any loose rock in the water and throw it back up on the shore. When I inspected closely in the spring, I found the erosion blanket stretched across uneven ground leaving large empty gaps under the erosion blanket. When Jerry's guys did come back to bring more dirt to the lakeshore, they created a mud slide down the hill from the blanket and left it bare without vegetation, so there is now nothing in place to hold the hill up. Jerry committed to fixing any problems in the spring that occurred over the winter, but that didn't happen. I had to hire two guys to throw the rock back up on the lakeshore and paid them for an 8-hour day. His removed three shrubs but failed to fill in the holes left behind. They covered the holes with mulch, and I ended up falling in the holes they left and twisted my ankle and tweaked my back. I called this out to Jerry and he said it would be corrected. It ended up that guys still did not fill in the holes under the mulch where the bushes were removed causing me to fall again. After telling Jerry three times what I wanted for grading for the water runoff, it's still not right. Jerry struggles to make water run downhill. Jerry's crew tossed some of the dirt off to the side and created a muddy mess and the elevation is still not right. They then used grass seed and not wild flower seed. I now have to go out there and fix the elevation, remove the grass that's growing and plant wild flower seed that I ended up having to buy as well as additional black dirt. When Jerry began the project, I had a split rail fence at the end of my driveway, which they disassembled in order to do the project. I found two pieces of my split rail fence are in my burn pile and Jerry's foreman hauled off the rest. Jerry replaced the fence at the end of the project.
