Specialties

We are a small family run alpaca farm located in Stringer Mississippi. We offer alpaca education, farm tours and agritourism. After you visit with the animals you can learn how we make luxurious clothing and yarn from their cashmere like fiber. You can browse our farm store where we carry alpaca fiber, alpaca roving, alpaca yarn and alpaca scarves, alpaca gloves and much more. We also carry goat milk soap and lotions, organic herbs, spices, salts, soy candles, knitting and crochet supplies in addition to all your fiber arts needs. Classes in fiber arts are also offered. We are a distributor for Babe spinning wheels and teach fiber spinning classes.

History

Established in 2007.

We started with alpacas in 2007 in New York as a part time business. In 2012 we retired from our jobs and moved to Stringer MS. We now operate the farm full time. We host visitors on a daily basis and run the Stringer Alpaca Festival twice a year.

Meet the Business Owner: Mary Ann S.

I am the proud mother of four children. I worked for the United States Postal Service for 31.5 years. My last position was a Postmaster of Middleport NY. I always hated the cold and long winters and longed for the day I could leave New York. My youngest son was training at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg MS for a year long mission to Iraq. He fell in love with the girl cooking catfish there and when he finished his mission he moved to Moselle MS to marry that girl. When we came to visit we fell in love with the area and soon relocated. We absolutely love our new southern home and the people here. My husband Terry and I now run the farm full time.
