My husband and I had our wedding ceremony here on November 1, 2024, at 6:00 PM. We purchased the Romance Package for $470.62, which included ceremony video, professional photos, and a marriage license holder. The experience was mixed, and I'm sharing it to help future couples make an informed choice. The day before, I received a call confirming our booking, and we were told to arrive 15 minutes early. My fiancé and I planned not to see each other until I walked down the aisle, so he arrived first. Due to traffic, I arrived at 5:55 PM. When I arrived, the photographer greeted me, then directed me to the front desk to complete paperwork and pay the sales tax. I was escorted to the bridal room and asked about my witness and who would walk me down the aisle. I explained that my grandparents were running a few minutes late due to traffic and asked if we could wait briefly. However, I was told we had to start, so I agreed, though I was disappointed not to have them for that moment.During the ceremony, I noticed the photographer was also the videographer. He set up a single camera on a tripod, which seemed odd for a professional setup. The ceremony itself went smoothly, and my grandparents arrived just after it ended, allowing us to capture a few photos inside with them before moving outside for more.Afterward, the photographer asked if we wanted to review the photos immediately or receive a link. This felt rushed, so we requested the link instead. Then, another staff member approached us and, somewhat awkwardly, asked if we'd like to redo the ceremony for our late-arriving family members. Since our "first look" couldn't be recreated, we declined and left for our reception.On the way to the reception, I realized we hadn't received the marriage license holder, part of our package. I called the chapel the next day and was told they'd run out but would contact me once new ones arrived. I also discovered they'd sent the photo link to an outdated email, despite providing a new one in person. When I finally accessed the photos, I was disappointed to find they were unedited, unexpected for a professional package.The most upsetting part was the ceremony video. When I shared it with family, we noticed it cut off partway through, missing the end of my vows and the all-important "husband and wife" kiss. No guests were allowed to record, and this video was supposed to capture that special moment forever.I called the chapel several times and eventually spoke with the manager, Maya. She informed me that an all-new staff had worked that night and that the photographer's camera malfunctioned. Maya offered a $75 refund for the video or one free photo from the session as compensation. I was heartbroken, as this was an irreplaceable moment, but my husband and I ultimately chose the refund since none of the photos were edited.Later, I called back to confirm the refund, as the chapel had an outdated card on file. I also mentioned how unfair it felt to receive only $75 or one photo as compensation for such a significant mistake. Maya then told me I could select up to 5 photos, but since the refund was processed, this option was no longer available. In summary, this experience has been disappointing. The lack of transparency, the unedited photos, and the partial video left us heartbroken on what should have been a joyful day. My advice to future couples: consider hiring an independent videographer or asking family to record, as you can't always trust in-house services to capture your memories with the quality and care they deserve.While this chapel came highly recommended by family, the poor communication and unprofessional handling of our ceremony have made it a regretful choice for us. We can't thank Special Memory Wedding Chapel for making our wedding a very special day. We wanted something simple but beautiful and they did exactly what we wanted and more. They offered a limo, gave us flowers, had a photographer, witness and Pastor Jamie Peppin gave the perfect wedding ceremony. The photographer took really nice photos too. They have every thing you need to making it a simple wedding to a big affair and you can even have a drive though wedding!! We definitely give them a 5 star rating. read more

We loved this experience but they did lose our entire ceremony after it was posted on their Facebook page. That was disappointing. We emailed them and they couldn't retrieve the video. We planned our wedding in April. Yes a getaway wedding but we wanted to do something cheap and quick! We set up everything online and it was easy! However, the service was not as easy!!!!! I couldn't understand the officiant very well as he mumbled, the photos came out so horrible! We thought that it was only the photos they took. We had no idea that there would be options for a package! After a night of drinking, I would have been more ready for my wedding day had they told us that! Even when we got there they didn't tell us! Then the included pics were horrendous! I couldn't believe the lighting, shadows, etc. some of the photos after the ceremony were ok. We didn't know they would make us sit and try to buy them and we truly had no time to wait to go through them. When I mentioned that the person selling me the photos she got upset and started treating me horrible. So Since April I have been trying to buy those photos. When I finally got in touch with someone they said it was $75 a photo or $450 for them all! Holy crap really! If it wasn't the only photos we had of our day then I wouldn't buy them. She stated she would call back when she got to the office and still has not. Do not go here if you want it to at least be somewhat of a Special Memory, because this place will destroy that. Just finished attending an adorable wedding here! I wouldn't recommend this chapel to anyone after the rude encounter I had with their receptionist. After my sister-in-law's wedding we popped back into the lobby where they instructed the guests to take photos. I asked the receptionist if she could take a photo and as we started to pose the chapel cat walked over to us (yes, they have a cat that roams free and yes we had guests that are allergic to cats) I bent down to pose with the cat and the woman said to me "are you going to pose for the photo I have other things I need to do". That kind of attitude at a wedding chapel is very unfortunate and I hope she finds the 'time' to read this. read more

Cute chapel. Invited to my friends wedding. A nice intimate ceremony. Took no more than 20 minutes it seemed. The staff seemed nice, but I dealt with them minimally. I noticed the synthetic flowers along the pews seemed worn and a little dirty, but I guess it's hard to keep up with all the traffic going through there. They have multiple rooms for ceremonies, a nicely decorated gazebo outside and the landscaping is well maintained, separate changing/waiting rooms for the bride and groom. read more

Such a wonderful chapel! They made my sister's wedding absolutely beautiful! The limo driver was so nice and the two ladies at the desks made sure everything was perfect, they even helped get the dress fixed and showed us how to put the veil on correctly after it kept falling off! This was probably the biggest scam that I've ever experienced from a company. I paid $1099 to get married in a helicopter over Vegas. We arrived and were told "we can't take flash photography on the helicopter, so we need to do your photos before you go up", THEN we were told "you can't hear with the headsets on in the helicopter, so we'll have to perform the wedding in this room (looked like a doctors office). So really it's getting married in an ugly room and then going for a helicopter ride after. Don't be scammed!!! read more

We got the $199 package. the wedding ceremony and minister were professional and nice. One thing to complain is the photo service. ALL THE ADVERDISING PHOTOS YOU CAN SEE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE AND YOU NEED TO SPEND EXTRA $45/EACH TO PURCHASE EACH OF THEM. The package includes 6 photos. From what we understood, it should be 6 photo prints from the whole process, however, other than the 3 minutes ceremony, we were asked to take other photos for more than 30 mins. After that, we were told that only 6 "ceremony" photos were included in the package but we need to spend extra $45/piece or $600 to purchase other unretouched photos after the ceremony without any notice. Ceremony shots were poorly shot that we can hardly pick any of them. Besides my bride broke her new Jimmy Choo high-heel under the instruction from the photographer. No photo prints at all - you need to print them by yourself. No music during ceremony. read more

My husband moved here on a fiance visa and we had to be married within 90 days. While we were planning a "real" wedding with family in the upcoming months, we needed something quick in terms of a civil ceremony. Because I love doing things "off the beaten path," we opted for a drive-thru wedding. I had low expectations in terms of service. I simply expected fun and something different. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff makes things! My bouquet was lovely. The limo driver was friendly and great. Six of us rode in the limo and friends were able to be part of the ceremony. I felt the prices were very reasonable for the packages. The only hang-up I have is the primitive photo system. I got prints in lieu of jpegs online or a download somehow. One could order a CD which I recall being quite expensive. I'm stuck with useless prints when I'd rather have paid for a couple of jpegs to be downloaded. read more

Although this was the happiest day of my life I felt I was taken advantage of... for 1)I was told only at the alter that I had to pay extra $300.00 to allow my guest to cherish the moment and take photos during the wedding ceremony, 2) my wedding photos came out too dark for the ones I paid for them to take, and 3) as I'm waiting for the music to play that we paid for my bride to walk down the asle, the music NEVER played , leaving this to be an awkward moment. We decided to get married in Las Vegas and stumbled onto A Special Memory's site and I'm so glad we did. After looking through all of the wedding options on the site, we went forward with the helicopter ride. It was the easiest process you could imagine for a wedding! We literally called and after speaking to Aurora for about 10 minutes, we had our wedding booked. Unfortunately on our way out to Vegas from Chicago, we were delayed due to our flight having "mechanical issues" and we weren't able to make our wedding that Friday night as was planned. While waiting at the airport for our bags, we called to let A Special Memory know what was going on. Within about 10 minutes, the gentleman on the phone was able to move our whole wedding back a day to Saturday. This was an amazing experience, the photos are beautiful (Brandy was our photographer - really sweet!), and I highly recommend this team to anybody looking to do something fun for their wedding. read more

I have such mixed feeling going 3 stars with this, not because I feel they were a necessarily a 5 star place, but one thing has left such a bad taste that it was tempting to go with 2 stars. The short version is they can thank the Photo staff for a lower rating. Background - I am not a newbie to the chapels. This was my 2nd marriage here and I knew what to expect with the protocol of how the chapel experience worked. Armed with that, I knew what I wanted and more importantly what I DIDN'T want and had no problem communicating that. I didn't have an elaborate plan, I just needed their space to accommodate a fairly large group (a big order in the tiny chapels here) and their minister to do the necessary task. My maid of honor and I personally visited so many chapels so we could check out the space as I know the pictures on the websites don't always tell the whole story. I booked a 730PM wedding for 10/31/15. I had a wedding party of 6 and was estimating 30+ guests. I booked the cheapest package. I was explicit that we would NOT be hanging out for pictures as I had booked a pre-ceremony session with my own photographer at another location. I only needed what they took during the ceremony and would choose at a later time as I am local. I also paid extra to have the dvd/internet video so that our parents on the east coast could view the ceremony the same day. I was assured that this could be loaded within minutes of the end of the ceremony. We discussed the photo/video issue ad nauseum. There was NO misunderstanding on my part. There should have been no question about this aspect of my ceremony for anyone. We brought in our own flowers and they did allow us to switch out floral for champagne on my package. I also took care of the minister tip before the ceremony because I knew the drill. I didn't want a hand or envelope in my face post-ceremony. I also did not use the limo service as I live here and didn't need it but nothing was offered in its place. I was ok with that. The chapel - It was very clean. We were allowed to look at both chapels and chose the largest one as we felt it would be more comfortable for our guests and we liked the color scheme. It is definitely accurately represented in the pictures. I was able to bring my own music on a CD and they did play what I requested at the right times. The staff - Maria booked my package. She was very friendly. I had to call to check the time and spoke to her again. Other than that, I had zero communication to or from the chapel until the day of my wedding. When we arrived, the groom was outside and I handed over the paperwork. No one asked to see an ID and no one asked to see him. I went over the deal about the pictures and video again and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. The minister - We had Pastor Jamie and I'd give her 5 stars for sure. I asked that she remove an entire passage she normally recites in civil ceremonies and replace it with the guest vows that I wrote. With a big smile she said yes. I have no idea how she did it so seamlessly, but it rolled out just as if it was part of her every day ceremony. Although it was a short ceremony, she did a great job and was very sincere, heartfelt, and kind. Well worth the tip. The photographer - This is where it gets ugly. After being assured repeatedly he knew what I wanted, he still came to me and said I needed to fill out my order sheet. I said "No, that's not what I planned. Ask the front desk." His attitude was terrible. His whole body language said it all. I also found out that he was rude to the guests prior to the start of the ceremony. I was handed a ceremony DVD, checked with the desk that I could order pictures later and went on my way. The photos are 'ok'. There's a few good ones, but more bad than good. The ceremony being uploaded asap... that didn't happen. In fact I had to call the next day and talk to two different people, one of which told me it would take 1-3 days. Funny, I saw other weddings from the same day whose were videos and/or photos were loaded (including one after mine). After being transferred again and pointing that out, they were magically loaded within 30 minutes. Overall the chapel was functional for what I needed but I would hesitate a full recommendation. Edited to add they fully used the 10 allotted business days to file the marriage certificate. read more

I wish i could leave 0 stars. I wouldn't recommend this chapel to anyone. There were so many hidden fees. So many sketchy things. They wouldn't let us tip our limo driver directly. We had to pay their officiant even though we used our own. The "professional" pictures were terrible. I could've taken better ones on my phone. The photos included, half had someone's eyes closed. They told us we could have a flower girl with petals. And then after the fact told us if we didn't trick up every petal we would be charged. They YELLED at my grandma for taking out her phone (she was late and didn't hear them say no photos). They want to charge $400 for guests to take any photos. But beyond all of this, the staff was SO RUDE. It was our wedding day, supposed to be one of the happiest of our lives, and at every chance they got, they made it miserable. We were told we could play our own music, then when it came time, they said actually there will be a fee. We had a larger wedding than they usually have, still within the limits, but the photographer and the lady at the front desk told us we could have all of the photos taken inside the chapel at no charge. But then they refused to send them to us unless we paid $400. They said sorry that's not the policy they shouldn't have told you, you could have them. Horrible customer service, just trying to get every penny they can. Do yourself a favor and get married literally anywhere else. I would've rather done my ceremony in a parking lot. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! We paid $1500 for the mountain air wedding on Mount Charleston because we didn't want a traditional Vegas wedding. The package included transportation to the marriage license bureau, transportation to and from the mountain, the minister, flowers, photos, a cake, and champagne flutes. The day before our ceremony, we were told that we would have to take care of getting the license ourselves, so we were unprepared for that and not getting into town until later that night after the bureau was closed. I was also told over the phone that I needed to pay an additional $200 for photographer and limo driver on top of what I'd already paid. It was suggested that I add gratuity on top of that. When the limo arrived, the front fender was dented in like it had been in an accident, the seats were torn, none of the buttons, including the heat, worked, and it was 30 degrees outside, the radio had been scotch taped back on and didn't work, and the windows were so dirty someone had written "Tina smells" on it with their finger. It then took longer than promised to receive our photos. When we called to dispute some of the charges we had paid for, the manager, Denah, basically said there was nothing she could do about it and was incredibly unhelpful. Apparently a manager here doesn't hold any sway over customer satisfaction. I am incredibly upset because this was supposed to be a special day, and it felt trashy and over-priced for all of the added changes a day before the ceremony. If you want your wedding to be special, as I would think most brides would, take your business somewhere where they will treat you like a valued part of their business and not an item to check off of a list. In regards to the reply from the owner, the complimentary limo service says something about the company including it in their package, so they must have low standards to send us a broken limo with insults written on the window. The pics were also not sent that evening as the owner states. In fact, I had to call two days later to ask where they were since they were promised within 24 hours. We never requested a full refund, but after spending a couple Grand here, for as unhappy as we were, they offered $100 as a refund! THIS WAS MY WEDDING DAY. Bottom line. And this company made it stressful and trashy. As evidenced by the owner's reply, you can also tell how very unaccommodating they are in order to take care of their customers, so thank you for the reply! Got Married in the Grand Canyon September 13th. Pretty much everything went well except for my wedding dinner plans which was completely ruined due to the limo driver. First off he arrived to pick us up 15 minutes late. The limo itself was shabby & paint pealing off roof. The driver showed up unkept with a tee under his worn jacket. We managed to get to the heliport in time. Problem was after he was told to pick us up at 5:45 in order for him to take us back to the hotel he kept us waiting 45 minutes at the curb. Oh and When we did get into car after waiting in the hot sun there was no water! Every time we called we were told 5 min more, with the result we contacted the restaurant we had booked months in advance to let them know we were running late only to eventually call & cancel our reservation. We had been looking forward to a lovely celebration dinner Their excuse, traffic was bad. NO! The venue looks nice enough, our chapel was very RED, but luckily that was my color so it matched. The service itself was good although I told the minister what I wanted her to say and she ad-libbed some things I didn't like. We paid extra for the photographer and he's HORRIBLE!!!!! Every picture he took was off Center, he didn't help anyone stand correctly to get a good shot so everyone just looks awkward, he didnt get any good shots of my wedding party and he lied to me about how many photos he took. He was rushing us and made me and several guests feel frustrated with his demeanor. He was also in our video snapping pictures, it was only 6 minutes you'd think he could avoid the camera for that long. His pictures were almost all junk. From the Chapel trying to cancel my wedding 4 days before hand, to the limousine being at least 20 years old with large rips in the seats everywhere, to the limousine catching on fire on the way back. Worst memory ever for my wedding. No beverages served in limo, was told "last party drank them all" No close ups at all for wedding photos. Complete disaster of a company! I only put 3 stars for 2 reasons. First we booked the valley of fire package April 29th, we paid the half that early to make sure they will set evrything by the time of our wedding. Our wedding date is June 12th. So that's almost 1 and half month before our wedding. After all my questions I taught evrything is fine coz we never heard anything from them after all of my questions. We're from Massachusetts, so we arrive in vegas June 9th. We go to the bureau to get our marriage liscense the next day and also paid the remaining balance. And it's June 12th. We started to get ready early coz we are both excited. I was fixing my hair when they called 2 hour before they pick us up saying that the valley of fire is now 102 degrees and if we want they can do the red rock canyon which is also the same and it's just 85 degrees. But he also said that if we insist the valley of fire they can still do it but not obligated if there's something happen because of heat. So they leave us with no choice but to accept the red rock!?. They we're talking to my husband that time so I don't really know what was going on. Then he told me that and my first reaction is "2 hours before? They will call us to change the spot? Wtf are the use of wedding forecast then? We booked this 1 and half month ago they could have told us that a week before or even a day before so we can switch dates not the spot coz i've search evrything and red rock and valley of fire is completely different! I don't want to get married in front of cactus! What the f? And my mind set for the whole month is getting that nice wedding picture in a beautiful rock formation of VALLEY OF FIRE!!!!!. It took me almost 30 mins to cool down because I am very disapointed we paid them that early to get evrything set!. I couldn't even finish my hairstyle. So we called them again and ask if could do the red canyon and get atleast a couple pictures in the valley but they said no, because it's 2 hours away from the red rock. Well it's not our fault ok??. It's not what we paid for!. So we got no choice but to go to red rock. Then the limo service came, ronnie our driver is a nice guy. But this become the next conflict. We get into the limo and it was soo hot. I got so dizzy and my husband put all the fan to me but it wasn't helping coz the fan is blowing up hot air and we couldn't open up the window. It was 35 mins drive! 35 mins inside that hell!. Then we got to the red rock. I took 15 mins before I get out. Then I heard ronnie saying that he's been running the limo all day that's probably why it's over heating. WtF???? so first they ruin my spot and second they send us a overheating limo???? Then we met our minister Carlos. He is a very nice guy I will give him 10 stars to rate him. Then after the ceremony we got our photoshoot with Fernando. He is really nice and very friendy. Makes us comfortable. And he took a really nice pictures. If they will ask me to rate him 1 to 5? I will give him 10 stars!. He's a really nice guy. THIS IS A BIG FAT LIE! a guy outside of marriage bureau offered us to give wedding ceremony at $45 at the chapel and told us the wedding is free if they charge a penny more. Israel even offered a limo back to our hotel after ceremony. They gave me a ride to the chapel and disappeared soon as i got off the car. so.. this is where fun story begins. you had to pay extra $65 on top of $45 to perform ceremony in the chapel. If you're looking for fast, cheap, and non personal wedding, this is the spot. It's just another 30 minutes wham bam thank you for the $$$, now get your party out of here so I can get the next couple married. The ugly: Seriously, the "planner" rushed everyone in, including the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Idk why he did that. He then wanted to "clear" the area. Ugh, it made no sense. Sooo disappointed with this place. In my humble opinion, if your looking for a shitty McDonalds experience wedding, come here! I am Steve E. I'm really disappointed. We got married May 8th, we were unable too see our photo proofs until a week later (even after numerous calls). We just now received our photos and the quality is horrible! We got higher quility photos from our cell phones. Very disappointed & we would not recommend this chapel. Vegas or not, they really need to raise their standard. read more

My brother shotgunned it during a leave from Iraq, and gave the entire family one weeks notice to book it to Vegas in February of 2010. He chose 'A Special Memory' for his ceremony and everything went great on my end as a guest. Our Chapel room seated a good 40-50, was clean, nice, and there were a few cute places to take pictures outside. I can't comment on prices or customer service, but knowing my brother, it must have been reasonable and the people obviously didn't piss him off... they're still standing. read more
