This place has been creating quite the buzz all over social media. I was introduced to this venue when I attended Pecha Kucha Manila, a popular, international event that translates to "chit chat" in Japanese which is also being held all over the world in various cities. This year's Pecha Kucha was held here at A Space. A Space is a relatively new co-working space and events venue located near Greenbelt. Aside from a co-working space for startups, freelancers and entrepreneurs, they also have an art gallery which doubles as an event space for larger groups. It's a great space that gives off a vibe that's conducive for working both independently and collaboratively. It's also a nice place for events that are more on the casual, intimate and laid back feel. The whole space is designed like a modern loft with an industrial touch. I know they offer more than just events spaces and co-working spaces, as I've heard that they also do coffee, and they do partner up with other startups and entrepreneurs for all sorts of projects and events, so you can expect to hear more about this place in the near future. read more

I first encountered A Space during a pechakucha event. Just across Greenbelt, this place at first doesn't look like much, with a building façade that is more or less common in the area's surrounding the mall. A quick trip up the elevators, however (say hi to the guard first), will show you that what the brown building hides is a fun, quirky concept more than anything else. As narrated by the founder, A Space is supposed to be less office, more haven where ideas and innovation are given ample room to grow. Everything is thematic, and each theme is conducive to developing a different aspect of your abstract concept. Hell, there's even a space called "Frank", for frank and straight talk, complete with a larger-than-life image of everyone's favorite straight-shooting badass, Jason Statham. A veritable first for me, my visit to A Space had me, honestly, wrestling with the concept after years of being hammered in a traditional corporate set-up. But I guess A Space is effective at its intended use, as the more I ruminate, the more the concept makes sense to me. As an added bonus, go ask "Paeng" to tell you his best Filipino joke. read more
While A Space is primarily known as a coworking space, I am usually there for talks and art exhibits. Aside from having small offices for promising startups and entrepreneurs to work in, A Space has a large room that's great for up-and-coming artists (as well as renowned and established artists) to exhibit their works, and for other functions like workshops, talks, live music performances, etc. There are so many eye-catching elements at A Space that make it a great and dynamic environment that's conducive for creativity. From the hanging cage chairs, couches with skull details and swing sets, the walls are also filled with cute doodles and inspiring quotes that aren't cheesy at all. It's also located right across Greenbelt 5, so you have easy access to the mall (to get your retail therapy fix on, and to buy meals when you don't have packed lunch at the ready), and to public transportation via the jeepneys, access to the MRT and buses, and so on. read more

A Space is very cool and hip shared office space just across Greenbelt. Small companies can rent small rooms good for around 5 people and even solo workers can rent a spot on the communal tables which come with lockers. There are shared meeting rooms you can book, shared kitchens and even a big space for events such an art exhibit or small concert. I hear they even have food tastings once a week. Here are some cool things about this place: - It's well designed (creative/not boring and stuffy) - There's a gallery inside - You book meetings using the iPad hanging outside the meeting rooms - Free coffee and it's good too - Walking distance from lots and lots of restaurants - There's a foosball table - Reliable and fast internet I would highly recommend anyone looking for office space to rent a spot here. read more

This is a pretty awesome office. I wish I worked here! But I'll just have to settle visiting for events for now! It's a multi-floored co-working space filled with amazing and exciting new businesses - ranging from creative to tech to food. The place is decked out with amazing interiors (fooze ball table anyone) and an awesome kitchen on the top level. There are lots of different work spaces available for different personalities and business types - offices, open plan, nooks, etc. It's also an awesome place to host events. They've got a sizeable event space which is perfect for talks or event art shows. It's just across the street from Greenbelt 4 too! So its location is perfect! read more

This is really as good or cool as an office gets! The people who run this place are super friendly and understanding and they do everything to make your business thrive. They really make it all about you and how they can support you, but you are the one who needs to take the initiative. If you do, the sky is the limit at this place. They have so many great events and co working spaces that you are bound to make new connections that can help you grow your business or give you innovative ideas. The interior design is young, hip and trendy and it's as close to an office in manila get's to a google office. read more
The concept of coworking is quite new in Manila, and I am glad that coworking spaces have sprouted left and right to accommodate digital nomads and tech startups that don't necessarily need a big office. Coworking spaces, or cowos like A Space Manila are a cool alternative to loud and overcrowded coffee shops. I had the chance to work for several days at one of the A Space desks, and I must say, it really made me want to get a unit or a hot desk of my own. What coworking means is that you rent a space, and that entitles you to a desk or a space on a communal working table. Here in A Space, you can be productive and you can enjoy their fast internet, the free coffee and that fun and conducive environment that will drive you to keep busy. The interiors are playful and fun, and creative furniture such as hammocks and swings take the edge of really boring Skype meetings or really boring stretches of work-filled afternoons. A Space is conveniently located near Ayala and near Greenbelt, so food and shopping options are not too far away. I also love that they have community events for their coworking tenants, such as yoga classes and language exchange meetings. A Space also has a great open layout space that can host exhibits, workshops, classes, performances and other relatively small and intimate gatherings. I think it's a brilliant idea, and I recommend the drop-in rate for those who would like to get a lot done within a peaceful and quiet environment. read more

We were originally wowed by the sales talk when they showed us around. They assured us of the following things: 1. Dedicated IT support 24/7 especially as our trainer had a Macbook Air. Airplay was guaranteed for seamless projection from her Macbook to the TV screen. NO SUCH THING EXISTS. The IT guy came in on Monday 9am. We had lost 12 hours of training at this point. 2. Free flowing coffee and use of condiments like sugar, non dairy creamer, swizzle sticks, etc. WE STARTED 6am ON SUNDAY AND THERE WAS NO COFFEE. JUST CONDIMENTS. WONDERFUL. 3. "You can call me anytime" said the saleslady. NO SUCH THING. The number given just routes to a landline here in the same office, which obviously wasn't answered on a Sunday morning. Bottomline: A Space may wow you over with their hip/edgy decor and De Longhi appliances. But what use are fancy appliances if there's no coffee for the coffeemaker, the granite countertop in the pantry is overflowing with dirty dishes if you come in on a Sunday morning and the trash bin is overflowing. NO MAINTENANCE ON WEEKENDS. 24/7 MY ASS. No mineral water to drink either in the pantry. The freezer in the fridge as of 02/22 has a 3 inch thick layer of ice which means it hasn't been defrosted in, I guess forever. The rest of the fridge didn't look like it had been cleaned or wiped in a while. If you are looking for a real coworking space that is as clean at 3am on a weekend as it is during regular work hours, look elsewhere. There isn't an option to lock the door to the room so that only you can unlock it for the time it's rented out to you. This is not good if your group needs to have props or manuals that are better left in the room versus going home with everything and setting it up again the next day. Don't get taken in by sales talk and the hip decor. A Space is Annoying Space. PS I tried sending an email to through their website and kept getting the error message "It doesn't look like you have a valid email address". Uh... I was giving my gmail account. Not valid... really??? Then I clicked on their Live Chat icon. NOTHING HAPPENS. read more

This is not your typical office. A Space is a co-working space that not only lets you be productive with its reliable wireless Internet and a cozy work areas, but gives you the opportunity to grow professionally and meet a few people along the way through the events that they host. I once recommended A Space to a visiting businessman and he was very happy about this recommendation. So if you need some place to just sit and work and you don't want to be fighting for seats or a socket to plug in your computer, I would suggest swinging by the 5th floor of 110 Legazpi Street and checking it out. read more

If you're the type who has the privilege to work from home, finding a good space to finish your professional chores besides within the confines of your home is in fact a feat in itself. Trying out a café? Good luck answering skype calls with the clanging of mugs behind you. Trying it at home? Let's be honest, that will take a ton of discipline, and we have to admit that we don't have a lot of those. However, helping you get a nice table, some good internet connection, and human interaction with other people in a similar situation, is ASpace by Makati. Just right across Greenbelt, this open working space is anyone who's looking for a nice place to work from as short as a day, to as long as indefinitely. Built like a Google office, this upbeat working space will definitely exude the energy your going to need to trudge through your days, effortlessly. read more

History
Established in 2009.
We started as a cool workspace in Manila for ourselves, and attracted digital nomads and teams working who likes our vibe. We added an art gallery and commercial kitchen, took on more space, and focused less on ourselves and more on the success of our co-working community. Several years later we’ve become the most influential coworking brand in the country, home to hundreds of amazing teams, and host to some of the most innovative ecosystem events you’ll encounter.
