Beware horrible customer service. Initially I found him on yelp, the owners name is Robert After after speaking to him and he provided home mobile service I hired him to come out and do some window tints for my house. He seemed a little off from the gecko but I hired him anyway.. Upon agreeing on a price and agreeing to move forward he begin installing my kitchen windows which are 2 windows with one main center big window. After spending nearly 2 hours on that main window, he installed the film and said its not great, has lines and stuff insides the tint. Which he mentioned he needs to take it off and redo the tint he also didn't have the tint in his van which he had to make a trip to go get it and come back next day. From there I knew this guy was not the right fit, Anyway upon installing the film the next day there were still lines and fuzzy looking from the outside. Basically not a clear film look. She said don't worry about the cloudy film that will go away on its own 3 to 5 days. A month has passed still their, and I called robert After a few voicemails he called me back three days later. I told him to situation he said let me call you back tomorrow because right now it's not a good time to talk. Keep in mind he was supposed to call me the very next morning. That morning comes by that day comes by he does not call me I text him, Robert I did not hear from you you're not replying to my text messages or phone calls. It has been one week ever since this guy doesn't care to call his customers back or fix his mistakes he just takes your money does a crappy job and he will not fix any warranty related work. Be aware stay away from this company I am going to dispute the entire transaction I would never hire this company again and stay away this God does not honor his work. And he's really creepy, What is that your property he doesn't greet you he doesn't smile he refuses to wear a face mask he refused to take his shoes off. I understand why other review say this guy will disappear not answer your phone calls or text messages. The short of this is - I was not disappointed, and would highly recommend using Solar Tech window tinting to friends and family. I bought a new truck (2015 Toyota Tacoma Quad Cab) on a Saturday and was on Yelp that evening looking for window tinting businesses in the area. Robert, the owner, called me back on a Sunday morning - a SUNDAY - and was extremely friendly. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me a free and very aggressive estimate right over the phone. As other reviewers have stated, the price is amazing. Robert easily beats out competitor prices by at least twenty percent. I explained to him that I worked in the San Fernando Valley during the week and asked if he would be able to come out to me. This was no problem for Robert. A time and date were set, and Robert arrived to the job site early. Robert carries samples of all the tint films, from 3M, that he uses. He took his time explaining everything to me and was very professional. I handed him the key to my new truck, went back to work, and in two hours got a call that everything was done. Beware!!!!!!! Horrible customer service. Robert refuses to return my phone calls after 4 weeks of leaving him messages. I had Robert come to my home in January 2020 to tint the front windows on two truck. Although we appreciated his original response time he has since failed as a business owner. The window tint on the passenger side of my sons truck was cut too short and is missing a strip of tint on the bottom. There are also obvious blemishes on the driver side window which appeared to have been made by his tools. On my truck, there are tool markings on both windows which we thought after a Few days would go away, but they haven't. I called Robert a few weeks ago to talk with him about the issues, which he responded by saying that he had been sick and as soon as he was feeling better, he would contact me. He has never returned my call and seems to be ignoring my calls now. I have since called him at least four time over the past few weeks and have left him messages requesting that he contact me. He has failed as a business owner to contact me. I have made a request for a refund which he hasn't responded to. I don't recommend him! I had some window tinting in a home window that was about 15 years old. It was discolored and basically ugly. I searched through YouTube to learn how to remove it myself. According to the video the process should have taken about 2 minutes. I worked on a window for about an hour and managed to destroy about one square foot of the tint on an 8 X 5 window. Time for professional help. I read the reviews and decided Robert was the man. He showed up on time, worked quickly and charged a very reasonable price. I Chose Solar tech to tint the windows on two of my vehicles based on Yelp reviews. Robert is a very nice guy and stands behind his work. He is Prompt and very fairly priced compared to some other places. I have always had my cars tinted and I had Robert do the last two. The first one came out very nice from what I remember (No Longer Own It) the second however I was a little disappointed. I may be a little more critical than most but the Finish of the tinting was not as clean as I have seen in many past jobs done for me. There are numerous small imperfections that are noticeable only around the top edges of windows which is only noticeable when the windows are partially down. Robert did come out and fix an issue and re tinted one window because of it. Overall for the price it is a OK job but if you have any attention to detail you may be a little disappointed. Over all he does a descent job for probably the cheapest price out there, especially since he comes to you. read more
