We hired them to repair several cracks in a textured drywall ceiling and specifically agreed that the repairs would be left at a Level 4 finish so we could apply knockdown texture and paint. Instead, drywall tape and a skim coat were applied over the cracks, leaving visible humps in the ceiling. We immediately explained that texturing would make the defects even more noticeable. Christopher Gonzalez acknowledged the issue and promised to return to sand and correct the work. We paid $800 after the first day because we trusted the company and expected to hire them for additional projects. He never returned. After repeated calls and text messages, he called once and again promised to come back--but still did not appear. Multiple later messages were marked as read and received no response. The agreed work was left unfinished and uncorrected, and our trust was completely broken. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend choosing another contractor.

From the beginning, Vlad and his crew were reliable, professional, friendly, and genuinely a pleasure to have at my home. They arrived promptly at 8:30 every morning and worked full days, often until 5:00 or later. They also cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and left everything exceptionally clean when the job was finished--far more than I've experienced with most contractors. One thing I especially appreciated was how involved Vlad allowed me to be throughout the entire process. At different stages of the project, he would stop and ask for my opinion or preference rather than simply making decisions for me. He listened to my feedback, offered his professional input, and made sure I was happy with the direction of the work as it progressed. They even relocated my exterior hose bib and an electrical outlet as part of the project, which saved me the headache of coordinating separate contractors to get those items taken care of. What really sets Vlad apart, though, is the unusual situation he was willing to take on. Another contractor had started my project and abandoned it less than midway through, leaving Vlad to walk into someone else's unfinished work. I had several contractors come out to quote completing it, and Vlad was the only one who was completely comfortable and confident taking over where someone else had left off. Anyone who has dealt with contractors knows how difficult it can be to find someone willing to do that. Vlad didn't hesitate--he looked at what needed to be done and was more than happy to take it on. He was also extremely transparent and fair when it came to additional job expenses. At the end of the project, he personally handed me every receipt and had me review and calculate the expenses myself. There were no surprises or questionable charges, which I really appreciated. After the experience I had before finding StoneHart, having a contractor show up when he said he would, communicate with me, respect my property, involve me in the process, and actually finish the job properly meant more than I can say.
