I'm traveling for business and had an evening off so I decided to get my nails done. I just looked up nail salons nearby and decided to give APlus a call. They accommodated my schedule and got me in. Vivian did an excellent job on my full set of nails using dip powder. She was gentle on my soft nail beds and the finished edges are soft and subtle. She's fantastic. Thanks! One of my new fave nail salons in the area. For the same price for a pedicure as other salons, they provide a really good service, including lime in the water for your feet. Attentive to skin and nails, and while they paint your nails they wrap the sole of your feet with paraffin wax. It felt amazing. Huge variety of nail polish both regular and shellac. Their massage chairs are pretty amazing. The decor is my all time fave, very bright. Clean. Even the washroom felt comfy. I would recommend this location for a pedicure cannot speak for manicure. I did get my armpits and upper lip waxed here, the lady that was helping me was a bit too aggressive, so my skin was bruised for a bit. I'd recommend a different location for waxing before risking getting someone who isn't all knowledgeable on waxing. read more

The staff are very nice, but our experience was not great. We had an appointment, and yet it took THREE hours for my daughter to have a pedi and a gel refill (dippining powder). They took off her old nails and left her sitting there for 40 minutes or so before they actually started on her nails. I think they overbook their clients and then just leave them sitting, waiting. I had a basic mani /pedi and my nail polish started to chip within 24 hours. Unaaceptable. Also, I think it is unehtical for the staff to offer services and not inform the client that there is an extra cost (Shellac/ ombre, etc.) My daughter was not aware that each time she said yes/OK, that her cost was increasing. Perhaps she is naive, but at the same time, I think they should be clear about the costs. read more

A wonderful experience every time I visit Glamorous nails and spa. Nails have lasted for over four months and still going only refilling done once a month. but for me the greatest treatment I have had is my eyebrows tattooed. Being older with a few wispy grey hairs I now have perfect eyebrows. Then I had my eyeliner tattooed on..... oh joy no more eyeliner on the top of my lids. I was not impressed with this place. My first time and my last. I usually do nail dipping and hadn't had my nails done in a month. They seemed to rush everything not sure if they don't have enough staff for the volume on a Saturday or someone was sick but I did make an appointment. So the lady was about to put dip on and I asked if she was going to soak or do my cuticles she was like no you don't need it I advised it had been a month she still said no. I wasn't going to argue at that point I just want to get finished and get out. She got sparks on other nails I didn't want it on and a nail has a mark on it but she didn't seem to care. I'm not extremely picky but when you paying $50 you want it done correctly and look amazing. I will stick to my regular spot I just happened to go here out of convenience. read more

My experience at this salon was half good and half not so good! As a new customer I definitely felt welcomed and helped within barely a two minute wait. The staff is lovely and they really make all their clients feel like close friends. However, having went in to get a specific service done, I was quickly convinced that I need to get something else because it was cheaper and very popular. In this case although the notion of saving me money was very appreciated, I was not happy with my result or the allergic reaction I got the night after gettin my nails done. I walked in there having two glowing recommendations from other customers. Granted the allergic reaction is not a whole representation of their service it is a representation of the cleanliness of their tools, and the type of material they use to perform the service. The other upsetting part was that I had made an appointment and arrived exactly on time and there was two people who went in before me(they couldn't have made the appointment at the exact time as mine). I don't want to bad mouth or review this salon badly because like I said previously my experience was somewhat good. However I will not come back! read more

I have lived in aurora for over 14 years and have been to so many nail salons in Aurora/Newmarket that I can't even count. My friend recommended Glamorous Salon to me and I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. It is by far the best salon I have ever been to. It was recently taken over by a new owner, Wendy. She has been in the business for over 18 years and teaches her employees all her tips and tricks. Glamorous nails is a big,beautiful,clean salon, which I know is something I always look for. I had the pleasure of getting a pedicure done by one of her employees Jenny and a manicure by Wendy herself. Wendy as well as her employees are extremely kind, polite, and have very good customer service skills. They are also very honest about their products, services, and nails. E.g which lasts the longest, looks the best, etc, even if it involves recommending a lower priced service, which she did for me. Wendy and her employees take great pride in completing their services until it is 100% the way you want it before you leave. Due to this I've received countless compliments on my nails (acrylic) which have lasted over 4 weeks now, where I have been constantly telling them about glamorous nails! To top it off, they have the best priced services in the region. They don't try to charge you for other unnecessary services or add additional unnecessary charges to your total. How can you compete with good quality and the most affordable? I think the reason Glamorous nails hasn't been getting the attention it deserves is because of the hidden location. It is in the plaza right beside Chapters (Yonge and Davis) in a store located at one of the corners (in other words you cannot see the place from the street). I have lived in this area for over a decade and never knew there was a salon located there. I will continue to go to Glamorous Salon, and tell all my friends about this place, as they do a great job, have good prices and make me feel comfortable/welcomed. I recently moved to Newmarket from Richmond Hill and was trying out different nail salons until I came across Glamorous Nails & Spa! I discovered that the business had just been taken over by new owner Wendy. She is so talented at what she does and so are all the ladies that work with her. Wendy owned a very successful nail salon in Toronto which she sold due to travel distance. She has years of experience. My nails are always looking great and people always ask me where I get them done. My manicure and pedicure last well over 2 weeks which is a lot longer than my regular nail salon in Richmond Hill! Walk-in's are welcome and service is prompt. They also do waxing and beautiful eyelash extensions at a great price! Wendy has AMAZING customer service skills and I always have a relaxing time when I am there.
