I was a patient from April 9 to 24, 2026, recovering from hip surgery. Unfortunately, the service I…read morereceived was not up to standard. I was constantly awakened for meds, blood work, diabetic testing (4 times a day), and an X-ray of the hip was taken at 11:15 pm the day before discharge, bed sore treatment at 11:30 pm (I don't have bed sores). The housekeeping service was unacceptable. See the pictures below showing the stains around the toilet, the dirty floor, and the shower. It was disgusting! I reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor, and it was improved immediately. The air mattress malfunctioned, and it took 3 days to replace it. I slept in the chair for 3 nights. The food was terrible, and as a result, I lost 6 pounds from not eating. I really looked forward to my family visiting on weekends so we could share meals. The physical and occupational therapy was outstanding; a big shout-out to Darrell, Eric, and Chad for their support and encouragement. I felt confident about leaving the facility and looked forward to continuing PT at home. Unfortunately, Janie Nixon-Harmon, Social Services Mgr, did not make contact with the PT home care service, as indicated on the checkout form and verbally communicated. This was also true of the meal plan service. I spent an hour plus on the phone with my insurance provider setting up the PT service and Meal service. The delay impacts my recovery time frame. PT is delayed for over a week and half.

Disappointed and Deeply Concerned…read more Darcy Hall Nursing Home claims to care for our loved ones as if they were family--but sadly, that has not been my experience. While this promise sounds reassuring, the reality is far from it. Many of the aides appear frustrated or even annoyed when asked to assist with basic care needs, such as taking a resident to the bathroom or changing a soiled diaper. The looks they give--cold, dismissive, and irritated--make you feel like you're an inconvenience for simply advocating for your loved one. What's even more disheartening is witnessing these same staff members frequently on their phones, chatting away, seemingly prioritizing personal conversations over their professional responsibilities. This is not just unprofessional--it's unacceptable in a facility that should be focused on the well-being and dignity of its residents. Darcy Hall needs to seriously reconsider its hiring practices. Working in elder care is not just a job--it's a calling that requires compassion, patience, and a genuine heart for service. Sadly, it seems that too many of the current aides and nurses are simply there for a paycheck, with little to no investment in the people they are supposed to be caring for. Our loved ones deserve so much better. Darcy Hall can and must do better. One star is not even what they deserve but without selecting one I can't post my review.

I placed my trust in Darcy Hall and it was the worse decision I ever made. I placed my mother at…read moreDarcy from Sept. 2018-Jan. 2019.This facility is a horror show. Darcy is strictly about money only!!! They could care less about providing quality service. If you have loved ones who are in need of rehabilitation or medical care this is NOT the place for them. I'm sorry I had to give this place a 1 star rating. It should be a negative star. When my mother came to this facility she was able to walk with the assistance of a walker and a cane in September, by mid October she was bed ridden and I never saw my mother walk again. When I took her out of Darcy in January 2019, she was still bed ridden and had begun to develop bed sores due to neglect, dehydration, and malnourishment. I asked on several occasions could they please feed her intravenously, which fell on deaf ears and instead they placed her on a soft food puree diet that did nothing at all, mind you my mother was not a cancer or diabetic patient yet she was losing weight rapidly. When my mother arrived at Darcy she had a private room for about a month and I was paying out of pocket costs for her care. The minute I informed the facility of my intention to apply for medicaid because of the high costs. It was like a major party celebration on New Year's Eve!! They told me welcome to the Darcy Hall family, that's when the party really started. They immediately transferred my mother from a private room and squeezed her into a medicaid pending room that was shared with 2 other persons. Never informing me of this change. My mother's bed and the other person's bed was separated by only a draw curtain. For the most part they just let her lay there in the bed never even moving her from her bed to a wheel chair only once. I had set up a small account for her to buy personal items which Darcy depleted by stating she owed them money at the time I was about to apply for medicaid. The room was definitely too small for 3 persons. I visited my mother on several occasions along with my family and there was no place for us to sit or visit, and if the other patients had visitors you really couldn't sit in there. If your love ones need medications the Darcy staff do not make proper notifications to let you know of the changes. They charge you for everything. The prices are exorbitant and that is just for room and board not including (medications). PLEASE!! if you love your love ones DO NOT PLACE THEM IN DARCY!!! Also read the fine print of your rights. The only matter of concern at Darcy is all about Money Only!! But definitely not about the patient's care. Eventually I had seen and had enough my mother's health was declining rapidly so I took her out of Darcy and brought her home. Darcy's only concern was how I was going to pay them for my mother's care during her stay at their facility. I informed them that upon her release I would pay them in full. Which I did without medicaid assistance, even after paying Darcy I was still receiving bills where I had to complain and show the staff that I didn't owe them nothing. From my experience I would NEVER!!! recommend Darcy Hall to anybody. Do your research and find a better care place for your loved ones. Also pay close attention to the reviews before making a choice. CHOICES DO MATTER!!! Upon reading this negative review Darcy will probably respond to this review via email with the usual give them a call so that they can address this issue. They don't even give you a person to speak to, just the general number. But when contacting them, nothing ever changes. Giving God the praise my mother is no longer at Darcy and my mother's medical bills at Darcy is paid in full so no need for any further dialogue via email, or phone.Thank you Darcy Hall for FAILING my trust and instead providing poor, and inadequate, services to my loved one. Recommendations: 1) Check on your love ones daily. 2) Listen to your love one's complaints. 3)Take pictures of your loved one's body and appearance if possible. Your love one's need your protection too.

If you have a loved one with Alzheimer's, and you are looking for a assisted living facility, this…read moreis NOT the place for them. In our experience, they are in it for the money. As informed in a CNN article online, many Assisted Living Facilities are not capable of dealing with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients. At the first sign of a patient being difficult they basically cancel the contract, leaving the caregivers with the ordeal of finding a new facility. This happened to us. In our experience, the administration has no professionalism whatsoever, rude and crass. The place is nice and clean, but in retrospect the service provided was not at the standard we were lead to believe. They basically pressured us into cancelling the contract. My mother-in-law lived in this Assisted facility for 3 months. During this period she fell various times, waking up on the floor of her room, and on one occasion that we know of, she banged her head. I discovered that they only have one person during the evenings looking out for 20 plus patients. They kept complaining about my mother- in-law's aggressive behavior , but at the same time they were not administering the medication adequately. She lost 11 pounds and went down to 87 lbs, and they never let us know about health. It looks like they didn't care if she ate or not. After cancelling the contract, she returned home with us. That same day when my wife went to bathe her, she found 2 bruises on her back, which we never received an explanation about these bruises. Unfortunately her health took a turn for the worse and 3 weeks later she passed away. Nobody can bring back my wife's mother but this poor excuse of an administration is in it for the money. We understand that Alzheimer's is degenerative disease and but she deserved better attention from the assisted living, since they were under the MorseLife/Pace program and should of acted sooner and reported any anomalies to Morselife/Pace

I am in a different state, so I have a case manager where my mother lives. Katia called myself and my case manager to go over therapy and wound care, etc. We got on the phone and all she does is ask US what we want to know. There were no nurses or doctors or therapist on the line. Gave us no information. Then she calls to tell me my mother is being discharged. Got everything ready and even went down there but she was not discharged. When I questioned her , she just lied and said she never told us that. I have never seen a more UNPROFESSIONAL person in my life. That facility is way too small and everyone ,but Melinda and Jennifer, were a nightmare to deal with. Thank goodness after this hospital stay, she went elsewhere.

The Nurse on duty,(or whoever she was) was not wearing any type of identification, no name tag, nothing. Whenever shift change was the nurse never came in to introduce herself. 2. Nurse left the meds on the tray top didn't bother to wait until he took his medication- just dropped them off and left. 3. The bed was never made or straightened. If it weren't for me coming everyday and straightening his bed, it would never be done. I know that because my uncle gets out of bed in the morning and sits in his chair. He is sharp as a tack, and said I spoiled them because I would straighten his bed while I was there. 4.According to the website for WESTGATE, it boasts of 'fine dining'. Every food tray that came to the room was cold and not appealing. Cold Eggs in the morning floating in grease from the sausage. Spaghetti in tomato sauce: COLD, 2 fish sticks on a bun and 4 'tater tots': COLD. you get the point. 5. My uncle is a diabetic. He received his dinner tray today after 7pm. And again it was COLD. Thankfully we bought some food with us for him. When asked why they received dinner so late, the nurse said "she didn't get the chance to ask the kitchen because she was busy". So, when you observe that at 6pm the dinner trays have not arrived, you don't call the kitchen? what exactly IS going on in this facility? Please dont send your loved one here!

You can't make this up. Nothing has changed since my last review: constant rate hikes, revolving-door management, and billing practices that feel designed to wear families down and drain accounts before their loved ones die. Maybe that's just the industry, but FountainView doesn't even pretend to care. If corporate is paying attention, there's no sign of it. -- Original Review Summary (for context): When I first chose FountainView for my grandmother, the initial rates and promises seemed fair. But quickly, my experience became nothing but frustration: arbitrary rate hikes, zero transparency, and no clear rationale for the constant cost increases. Families deserve better.
