The gals at the front tell me that they cater to the local market of 30-40+ women with cash to thrown down on comfortable threads. But I look around and all their clothes look so cute and trendy for the 20-something crowd too. They have tanks and tops that show plenty of skin and breezy sundresses with sultry slits. Oh fancy! Plus, there are lots of denim options and accessories too. I didn't purchase anything on my visit, although I was very tempted at the bling bar. What an eclectic mix of jewelry. They showcase a lot of metalwork rings, bangles and necklaces which I'm a total sucker for. I also have a huge thing for the rewined candles in the back. Fabulous! This place is pricey but that's what makes it a boutique. I'll have to ca$h in for my goodies another day.

The clothing isn't cheap, but it is good quality and they always package everything adorably with a thank you message and even small gifts thrown in. The aesthetic is almost feminine edgy, hard to find and I've only found one other boutique that caters to this style so far besides Elle! Their sales section is always amazing online, I can't even begin to imagine how good it is in the store. I can't wait to visit in person!

It was tax free weekend, unbeknown to us, that made it even more crowded that we expected. They had some folks "attempting" to direct traffic, not sure where they found them or if anyone had instructed them on how to do this job because it was chaos from the minute we pulled into the area. The prices were not impressive at any of the stores we visited. Disney was typically priced for any of their stores, Old Navy had better sales at our local store than the outlet, Toys R Us was a joke, Janie and Jack had a few good buys, shoe stores didn't impress us either. We had 2 younger children with us that were getting hot and very bored. I wish there had been a few more spots to sit and chill for them. Nike and Abercrombie had some decent buys. Overall, not worth the hassle trying to find a place to park, the stores were overly crowded, merchandise on the floors and not enough people working to keep the check outs moving at a decent pace. I love shopping here every other time I have been here so it must have been the time of the year that made it so underwhelming and yet overwhelming at the same time.

Disney, Victoria Secrets, Lululemon, Clarks and the list goes on. The parking lot was full during our visit, but stores did not seem crowded. The mall is laid out in small strip mall segments so you have to cross a lot of traffic to work your way from store to store. It's difficult to move the car around because the lots are full. I was glad I had my "driver". The mall is clean with a Southern vibe. I saw one restaurant. I did not see mall maps to help me locate stores. Prices were pretty good in the stores that I entered. I bought a few things that I wasn't expecting to purchase.

My friends and I stayed for quite a while. They were offering a 20% discount on your entire purchase during your birthday month. I was excited about that as my birthday is in November and spent nearly $400, which I wouldn't have done if not for the discount. I checked out, discussed the 20% off with the sales associate and was even required to show my ID as proof. I checked my receipt the next morning and realized the discount was not applied. This was Sunday and the shop didn't open until noon. We had to leave that morning to go back home out of state. I called when they opened, explained the error and was told there was nothing that could be done except give me a discount for the next time I shopped there. I don't live anywhere near Clayton. I find it hard to believe there's not a way to credit my card back the discount amount. It's a nice shop but I won't be returning with that kind of customer service.
