He took the time to discuss our wedding over the phone, educating us on different nuances, like handfasting, and walked us through what to expect on the big day step by step. He also prepared a wedding script for us to follow during the ceremony and sent it to us in advance. Lastly, he was open to our suggestions about the wedding location (the beautiful Jenkins Estate) and arrived there on time. Even though it was a small reception, Ernie, being a popular choice in the area, still agreed to participate and made us feel well cared for. We wholeheartedly recommend hiring Ernie for your wedding, big or small. His attention to detail and exceptional oratory skills will undoubtedly make your day even more special.

During the months / weeks / days leading up to our event, Ernie was very responsive to any questions we had throughout. During the ceremony, his calming presence helped me through the ceremony and reading of my vows. I'm somewhat shy and loathe public speaking even if front of loved ones and people I know. I'm not one who speaks loud and I get very emotional. Ernie was whispering affirmations and positive words to keep me focused and calm. We both just want to thank Ernie for such a beautiful service that we will cherish the memories we made that day forever!

She was with us every step of the way.....bringing creative ideas, recommending vendors who could best provide what my daughter wanted, managing the budget and plan to ensure we were making the best decisions. Most importantly, the wedding was spectacular! Whitney took care of everything and ensured it exceeded all expectations....DJ, catering, floral, lighting, linens, ceremony.....all were terrific. My daughter was over the moon and many guests talked about it being the best they had ever attended. Much of that credit goes to Whitney.....and she is a joy to work with. If you need a wedding planner, I can't imagine one who would be better.

Having engaged Whitney from overseas, and having the added logistical complication of attempting to plan and coordinate the component wedding events via email, it's insufficient to say that Whitney managed to produce what turned out to be the perfect wedding. From planning through execution, the event was executed beautifully. Communication was excellent, any "hitches" were dealt with swiftly and with zero issues. All involved parties - and there were a LOT of us - were calmly managed by Whitney and because of that, we knew our roles to a "T". I don't know what her services cost but whatever they run, I've got to believe that they're worth it. For an event of this importance in your life, you can't go wrong working with Whitney.

They were personable and outgoing, the kind of people you'd want to be friends with. :) Our ceremony was held at their small, cottage like home here in Portland with their daughter, Isabelle (age 6 months...and TOO CUTE!), also present on August 28th, 2011. Considering the economy we didn't have a lot of money to spend and they were more than willing to work with us financially. We also don't have a lot of family left and Jeb nicely stepped up as one of our witnesses. Heather Rose also emailed us a copy of the ceremony beforehand so we could re-write or add to it, which I found very thoughtful. My, now, husband and I wrote our own vows on scrolls and exchanged them during. Everything was beautiful. Heather Rose was all smiles during the ceremony as were we. Our day couldn't have been more perfect. There are two major things that my husband and I took with us from our experience with this amazing couple.... 1.) Heather Rose collects 2 named friends (like me, Julie anne.) LOL. AND 2.) "Today you will love each other the least". A quote from Jeb that has more truth to it than we could have ever imagined. You never think you could possibly love each other more than your wedding day, but it grows each and every day thereafter and gets stronger. Thank you Heather Rose and Jeb for helping to create a lasting memory for us. Adam and Julieanne Lundbom

He mixed in a ton of songs that we love and as a result kept our dance floor bopping all night. Many guests the next day commented on how active our dance floor was and that is in large part thanks to Mikey. He was also great with questions we had leading up to the big day. Would recommend. A couple Paradox negatives: in the initial phases the way the company website and communication is set up is intense and super pushy. I also didn't like the app they have as it isn't usable on a computer. I also didn't like the payment methods they prefer. Sending Venmo payments that large felt really odd. But Mikey's work was amazing and I would put up with those issues again for the amazing vibe and night that he gave us.

Of course, when January of 2021 came around, it was clear that we couldn't have the wedding in May of 2021 either and he demanded even more money claiming again that he had turned down several other gigs for thousands of dollars. Yeah right! He had no proof of this. We fired him. He kept nearly $1,000 of our money for doing absolutely nothing. Beware of this guy. He is not an honorable business person and extremely unreasonable and heartless.

We are not a religious couple, but wanted our wedding to still feel ceremonial. It was important to us to have some Celtic traditions, and some modern wedding phrases, but the majority of the ceremony was a wonderful surprise. Mike has a great system of sending a questionnaire to fill out and then he incorporates it into the ceremony. Somehow he knew just what to include and weave our responses into the traditional elements we requested. It took the pressure off of us! Allowing Mike to do his thing meant that we could let go and really feel all our emotions in the moment. Just want we wanted. Our guests marveled at how personal the ceremony was, were touched that we included so much family history, and there was plenty of laughter and fun mixed in. Mission accomplished - everyone felt the love! We highly recommend Mike to officiate your wedding! He's experienced, a skilled orator, and will execute your vision flawlessly.

He brought the attendees into our world, in a way that provoked both tears and laughter. It felt very authentic and meaningful. It was a beautiful moment in time. Mike used a questionnaire to form the ceremony and read answers word by word. The reason for deducting some stars is related to the ceremony being about 45 minutes long, when it should have been 30 maximum. The questionnaire answers were not condensed. In addition, mike said that he does not do weddings that have a first look as per his contract. However, when we hired him, there was no contract or mention of this clause anywhere. Regardless, we did the first look and he still provided his services. All in all, we would go with Mike again.
