This is my second review for Dr. Hamner...I came in to see him for a prescription for a new C-pap machine; unfortunately, I came on the WRONG day and brought in the WRONG materials --- yet the staff and the doctor were gracious enough to "fit me in" for a visit. I am so pleased with these folks! Dr. Hamner is personable and knowledgeable --- a really decent human being and a TRUSTED doctor --- his office is clean and they practice all anti-Covid safety measures --- I so appreciate these front-line people and the services they provide...!! I've been seeing Dr Hamner for years and I always enjoy my visits. Dr Hamner and his staff are knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to talk with. He takes time to listen, go over new developments and explain treatment options. I've never had to wait long for appointments or felt rushed out the door. The people in the Sleep Lab seem to enjoy their job. Whenever I've needed parts they've been organized and easy to work with explaining what is covered by insurance and when. When I first got my cpap they explained how to use it, where to get more information and the importance of keeping the equipment clean. read more

Dr. Hamner first diagnosed my sleep apnea, he ordered a CPAP machine for me and instructed me on how to use the machine. At no time ever did he ever reveal to me that CPAP machine use can and will cause sinus infections. Shortly after I started using the new CPAP as instructed, I got my first of many sinus infections. After months of this, my family doctor told me the CPAP was causing the sinus infections and Dr. Hamner should have explained all that to me. During this same time, Dr. Hamner tested me for allergies and confirmed I had 6-8 positive results and put me on a weekly allergy shot regimen. At no time did he tell me the simplest treatment for allergies is to move to a different environment. I discovered that thru a friend that moved from WA to AZ some 7 years ago and has had no further allergy attacks. Recently, while visiting Kennewick, I came down with terrible allergy attacks and went to Dr. Hamner's office to get a shot that would have alleviated the awful symptoms. Was treated with great disrespect. Avoid this practice! They are dishonest about their pricing, they bill out hundreds of dollars for just a few minutes of actual consultation with a doctor, and have staff that is dismissive and defensive on the phone. After waiting over 4 months to simply make an appointment, even after calling multiple times. I tell them morning appointments are difficult for me, I was still given an appointment (Less than a week away, rememeber that), at 10am. Its all i could get after 4 months, so i took it. Day comes, im running behind due to my sleep problems, and just 6 minutes late, I get a call saying my apppointment is cancelled and they now refuse to see me. When explaining the problem to their manager, about my sleep problems, he said they are to busy to even respond to all their referrals, claiming they had currently about 250ish, and even after explaining my condition, and how it makes waking up difficult, he yells at me, yes yells, "Well why didnt you make your appointment?" Well, it doesnt take 4 months to schedule 250 people, thats only just over 2 a day, and thats assuming they had that amount 4 months ago. Must be a cozy job for the scheduling staff. read more
