Probably among the top 20 deserts I've had in my life. And it deserves extra acclaim because it was unusual (apparently this type of cake is even quite rare in Portugal, according to our waiter). My girlfriend liked her main dish of pork cheeks in a stew. The wine my girlfriend ordered was quite good. The main dishes were substantial in size and the waiter told us we could ask for more of them if we wanted (maybe this was because we were at the end of lunch -- but I would guess not). Service was good -- the waiter knew English. Prices were quite reasonable. If I recall correctly the bill with my ordering water was around 45 euro. Incredible for the quality of the food. I'd say anyone who is serious about food, lives within 200 miles, and has a way of visiting the restaurant, should do so. It would be worth the trip.
