I had taken my car to an auto care franchise for simple oil change. Manager recommended new brakes, fuel system cleaning, alignment and an outrageous quote. My friend said before you have all that done, at least let Claflin Auto look at your car. Called Claflin - extremely professional & courteous gentleman made appt & tech took my car right on time - no long wait. Claflin tech checked thoroughly, said brakes fine, tire wear did not indicate misalignment. and may need a fuel system cleaning someday but not today. Since then, my husband & I both take our cars to Claflin Auto. We are very happy & thankful for people we can trust.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this AAA-recommended repair facility…read more I brought my vehicle in to have an overheating issue diagnosed and repaired. Not only was the original problem not fixed correctly, but the work performed appears to have caused additional damage to my vehicle, including damage to the water pump and radiator cooling fan. Despite charging me more than $1,600 for the repair, the vehicle continued to experience the same issues. Because the problem was never resolved, I was forced to seek a second opinion from another mechanic. After a thorough inspection, the new repair shop disassembled the affected components and showed me evidence of damage and improper repairs that were left behind by the previous service center. As a result, I am now facing additional repair costs for parts and labor that could have been avoided had the original repair been performed correctly. I trusted this facility because it was recommended through AAA, but my experience has been extremely frustrating and costly. I would not recommend this repair shop based on the quality of work performed and the unnecessary expenses I have incurred as a result. I am requesting full reimbursement of the charges I paid for the original repair, as well as compensation for the additional damage caused to other vehicle components and the extra repair costs I am now being forced to incur to restore my vehicle to proper working condition.

They did fix it, but it wasn't worth my time to wait for their repair for an oil change special. The 2nd visit for a SCHEDULED oil change took almost 3 hours and resulted in an inspection report stating the car needed thousands of dollars of maintenance and repairs. The car was not due for these services by mileage or time according to the manufacturer's guidelines. This years LOF and inspection performed by a local independent shop confirmed all is fine and only an oil change was needed. No contact from management when feedback was provided. Apparently, their business strategy is to try lure people in with some service special, then con everyone and make their money from the few poor people that get intimidated into paying for unnecessary work. This long-time member cancelled our membership, and I DO NOT recommend trying them for emergency or regular service!

There was a visible nail in the tread, but Matt took the time to assess it carefully and determined it was only a fragment that had not actually punctured the tire.
