This place is a TRIP!…read more It looks like a little lean-to hunting hut in the middle of nowhere. You go inside and the walls are lined with taxidermy and particle-board walls. The outdoor cooler is a bizarre, lumpy, quasi-igloo on account of it having been externally sprayed with foam insulation. The owner is a suuuuper nice old dude named Tim. He's got an incredible beard and the most well-worn pair of overalls I've ever seen. This place is truly the best damn tenderloin you will ever get. You can hear them getting pounded out, you can hear the raging crackle of the fryer, and when they come out it's truly a sight to behold. These tenderloins are twice the size of a large human's face. One could easily feed two to three people. They have specials all the time, like dollar burgers and hot dogs, etc. It's a good time!

They have tons of specialty house drinks and typical Midwest American cans and bottled beer, one IPA and Guinness. No draft beer. One dessert on the menu, fried cookie dough and one daily dessert special. They also have a small stage, slot machines and volley ball courts out back. The whole place was very clean and plenty of level parking. There were customers of all ages, so that says a lot!

Fried pickles just tasted like grease, and same with the burger. Really disappointing with how expensive it was. My wife had the chicken salad and said the chicken was soggy and underwhelming as well. Their ranch doesn't taste like ranch. It tastes like tzatiki sauce... I really don't understand the positive reviews for this place.

Friend had a grilled chicken sandwich with very tasty fried dill pickle spears. Hubby & I had deep fried tenderloins! So big! So good! We should have shared one because we brought home a half each. The food is very reasonably priced and the service is great. The little place is very clean. We even got to talk to Ray. Stop in there for lunch or for just a beer at any time.

The service was slow. Took a long time to get our food. I had the Strawberry Field Wrap with fries. The wrap was very good, a good blend of strawberry and poppy seed dressing flavor. The fries were very good, but almost too salty to my taste. My wife had the breaded tenderloin with fries. Though not as big and filling as what most restaurants offer in the Mt. Pleasant area for a tenderloin, she said it was still good. Prices here are very reasonable. Only complaints were slow service and that the employees were not wearing masks (because of the Covid-19 situation).

It's definitely a local joint but the atmosphere is very relaxed and not at all unfriendly. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Seems like a come as you are, but come respectful. I ordered jalapeno poppers and fried mushrooms. Both were tasty, especially with the ranch dressing provided. The staff appear friendly. The bartender was helpful, but she did not have a bubbly and chipper disposition. This was perfectly fine for me. Karaoke is Friday nights, but I visited on a Thursday.
