I was tempted to employ Mr Hall by a quote that was considerably lower than the others that I had received. He ground out and repointed the front and side of my semi-detached house in January 2014. Whilst his work on the upper brick courses was satisfactory, the lower brick courses were repointed to a very poor standard. There was a great deal of mortar staining to the bricks, there were some small gaps in places where the mortar had not been replaced and some of the bricks that had been replaced were not straight. Some bricks that should have been replaced were not replaced. Despite his many and repeated promises over the last 12 months to come back and improve his work, he has failed to do so. I have recently had my house repointed by Mr Hall. He did a excellent job and the price was very reasonable. He completed the work in the time scale he stated and left it tidy and clean. My neighbour also asked Mr Hall repoint his house, after seeing mine and was very pleased. I have recommended him to all my friends and relatives. Had no problems at all.
