I left two messages yesterday that my temporary crown fell out and I needed an appointment asap. The man said he would call to book the appointment, he didn't call. So I called again, again no call back. I called the 2nd time and then I was transferred to the office manager and I left a message. It's now 3:23 the next day. No call back. Their phone does not ring when I call it. It disconnects me. Horrible service. I'm going to have to drive there and retrieve my crown and go to another dentist. Utterly ridiculous! read more

I have been coming here for a few years, yesterday 10.12.21 was the worst experience ever with this office. I was spoken to very unprofessionally at the front desk. My son has been also a patient for the same amount of time. He just turned 18 and was supposed to have an appt. with me as usual, well they booked him an hour before me and never texted or emailed a reminder that he was to be seen an hour before me because he is now an adult, I calmly tried to tell them they did not send his reminder so I was under the assumption it was the same time as mine. They wouldn't see him and said they couldn't fit him in. Now he will have to wait for a cleaning for another 7 months so we can stay on the same schedule. I will be going to a new dentist office for our next visit, I promise you that. I felt like I had done something wrong and was getting side eyed because their system never sent out his reminder. I am so so big on customer service! Everyone is not meant to be in customer service, I have not came in connect with not one young lady at the front desk who is professional. No one welcomes you as you walk-in, they actually act like your bothering them. I hate having to speak first, if I'm entering in your establishment. Poping gum is very unprofessional They are not sympathetic to those effected by Covid financially, when asked if I could be billed and pay at a later date, which would have been in a week, It was an immediate "NO" They clearly do not enforce the "no cellphone in waiting room " sign, so irritating hearing multiple people on their phones holding full conversations, while a TV is blasting in the waiting area as well. Due to Covid I feel appointments should have been spaced out better , to many people at one time in waiting room. It's time to find another dentist, the dentist is good, friendly and welcoming, also the dental assistants but it starts at the front. The front office can break or make an office visit. My visits are always broken. I cannot blame it on Covid, have experienced too many times. read more

The girl that works at the front office is so rude and unprofessional. I had to cancel an appointment due to my mom passing away and the way she responded made me want to take a trip to the office just to smack the TASTE out of her mouth. This office is rushed in their work and the is little to no explanation to the procedures. When you do ask a question it's answered rudely and unsatisfactory. They also will try to find a way to make you pay for services out of pocket even when your insurance will cover it. The team work and communication in this office needs to be revised and updated. This was my first visit to this office. I normally go to Charlotte to my dentist...trying to stay close to home. The front office was nice and polite, but the dr., she was short tempered when I questioned about other procedures other than the ones she'd suggested. She had no more pleasantries for me..washed her hands and left me in the kids dentist area. Now I questioned about implants verses crowns and bridges she told me it would be more expensive and insurance does not cover which I knew, but when they finally remembered I was in the BACK! Her treatment plan was broke down which cost more than the implants I inqured and would have to pay out of pocket for anyway!! I had my first dental cleaning appointment this week at A Healthy Smile Rock Hill and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Since moving to the area I have been looking for a dentist for routine visits. The office was exceptionally clean, welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. The lobby area had a variety of coffees/teas and a unique game room to keep the kids occupied while waiting. Dr. Loray was very thorough and took the time to discuss any possible future needs. My experience- The dentist doesn't even say hello before putting her hands in your mouth. They also seemed irritated when you actually ask questions or want them to explain the procedure before doing it. I experienced pain after fa procedure and reached out several times to ask for guidance. No one returned my voicemails re the pain but they reached out a week later when time to schedule my next appointment. I decided to go elsewhere and after repeated requests they finally sent my xrays to the new office - unreadable, so I had to pay out of pocket and do them over again. To add insult to injury, they had a lawyer send me a bill for $200+ from old charges they never billed to my insurance. Insurance said it would have been covered but they had refused to send what was needed and now we are on a new benefits year. So out of pocket for me again! Never again! read more

IM Am PISSED!!! Came in here for a cleaning at 4 pm. Got X-rays done. Waited an hour and a half for a dentist to come in and look at my mouth. Ridiculous. But I'm Thinking at least I'm going to get my cleaning today. So whatever. The next thing I know, I'm being sent from the dentist chair to the front office to discuss treatment...and she tells me I need to schedule a cleaning...the first appointment is a MONTH away! What?! Im here NOW for a cleaning! That's what I made my appointment for!! They just completely wasted my day. Then the woman in the financial office has the NERVE to say, "Well we close at 5 so service isn't guaranteed." Are you kidding me? I didn't even see anyone until 5:15 and I got there at 4! And WHY are you taking appointments at 4 if you can't do the service moron?! Of course they charged me for an office visit. Which I will be calling to get waived. They are charging me for wasting MY TIME. What a crock. This is a scam dentist.. they will space your treatment out to get the most MONEY out of you. These people will make you wait and STILL won't give you the service you came here in for. The dentist even asked me to leave a review. Well HERES your review. The office is modern and the front desk staff are welcoming. I had x-rays done and at my first dental appointment and two months later at a second appointment to fill cavities, I was charged extra for a cavity that was not seen previously. (Were the x-rays reviewed??) I was not impressed with the dentist's bedside manner (just said hello and did not explain that another cavity had been found before proceeding to fill it. I had so much numbing to my teeth before the procedure that my mouth was hurting as the medication wore off. I would not recommend. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice! I am an RN and former dental assistant. I recently had major dental trauma and this practice made it figuratively and literally pain free! I had an injury on July 5, 2018 when tooth # 8 Was knocked out. I was seen in ER that night. I contacted Dr Spencer the next day. He answered promptly and listened to my history. He gave me directions and said to call back if any problems. He told me to make appointment 3-5 days later to let all of the swelling calm down. I made appointment through the Healthy Smiles online system...which was very easy. I received multiple confirmations and notifications of appt. When I arrived for appointment, I was very nervous due to the dental trauma and the anticipated worry about cost. The entire office staff immediately put me at ease!! Fern, the dental assistant was very gentle and explained everything in detail. Then I saw Dr Harvey Spencer. He was also very gentle in his exam. He explained everything to me in detail and put me on antibiotics to prevent the possibility of infection. He explained treatment plan and rationale. He answered all of my questions. Then I met with Quandra ( I am probably misspelling her name) She explained all of the finances and outlined potential problems that may exist. Since my problems involved crowns, bridges and possibly several root canals, she helped me apply for CareCredit. She also explained some of the hurdles that we need to overcome. Honestly, I don't think I have ever been more nervous about a dental visit!! It was literally and emotionally pain free. It could have been the exact opposite but for the skill and compassion of all of the staff. I cannot say enough good things about this practice!!! My follow up appointment is with Dr Loray Spencer.. so I will make more posts. read more

I do not recommend them. My son broke his permanent tooth off at school and took him here because it was the only place open and it was an emergency to us. I thought everything was fine but my husband too him so I didn't realize they didn't let him see the x-rays. They put a paste on his tooth until they put a temporary crown on him and get fitted for a new crown. Everything still seemed fine. We brought him back for his permanent crown and this is where they said that he wouldn't let them put it on. They wouldn't let me back there until they stated having problems. I went back there and he barely moved so they told me he had to be sedated. I didn't want this but after several attempts of them saying that he fought them (remember I was not back there so I don't know what they did to him). They then ended up passing me to another dentist office and say they spoke to her and said that she said she would put on the crown. I called several other dentist offices and they said no other dentist would put on someone else crown they made. Also they tried to get me to sign off on the crown that I paid $900 for so they wouldn't be responsible for it anymore. The new dentist looked at the tooth and had to sent me to another dentist for a consultation where both dentist agreed that they were glad that we didn't get the crown on him because he needed they entire tooth pulled. It is fractured above the gum line and root has been dead for a while. If they would have put the crown on they would have damaged him even more. This has been going on since the middle of December 2017 and it is now August. DO NOT take your child here. read more

I was very disappointed with my first and ONLY visit to this office. My annual checkup, cleaning and X-rays are covered by my Medicare plan. During my visit the staff was unable to verify my Medicare plan, so I paid for it myself. Then I told them to bill the plan, which they did. When my insurance paid their share of the visit, I said I wanted to use my payment for other services I needed. I was refused any credit after several calls and a visit to the office. Then when I made an appointment with another dentist I asked for a copy of my dental records to be emailed to them. I called several times and was told they would send them. I finally went to the office and picked up the Xerox copy of them. They said they would email them to the dentist I'd chosen as they would be clearer than the copy. When I got to the office for my visit they showed me what was sent and they were all blurred and useless.VERY BAD SERVICE!!! read more
