This was my second experience with a Child Care Facility. It has been the worst experience ever And…read moreI may never trust another childcare facility after this one. My childcare was paid for by the state as is for most of the parents there. The owner filed false documentation to DSHS requesting extra funding for Disibility Services that they don't even offer. The only reason I knew about it is because I got the letter saying it was denied after they told me there was something I need to sign that I didn't sign. The owner Vicky, is absolutely harsh and unkind. There was not one single time that I saw her that she did not tell me something I was doing wrong as a parent. They did not listen to my wishes for my child, they let the people who are allowed to pick her up, make decisions for her instead of calling me to ask me permission as I have custody. They don't even have time. And the saddest part about all of it is that my daughter was so sad to go to daycare/school. She absolutely hated it. And she loves kids and she loves being around other people, but she hated this place and that was the true sign that this is not a good place to take your children. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for childcare. If you would like your children to be happy. Do not take them here. They like to claim they have five star reviews, and the first thing they told me is that they were a five star learning Academy, but all I saw was bored kids not eating their food and not having any fun or learning anything. A specific example of how horrible this place is when we picked up my daughter one day and she had soaked all the way through her pull-up and all the way through her clothes so I had to drive her home without clothes on. That's how wet her clothes were. And she was in the middle of potty training so if they had just asked her if she wanted to go potty, she would've done it. Instead, they ignored her and let her diaper soak through her clothes till she was sopping wet, and it was dripping down her . I promise you there HAVE to be other places in Spokane Valley that are higher quality than this place. Just from their deceit to DSHS alone I think they should be shut down.

My 5 year old has spent the last two years at this daycare/preschool. It actually has been a little…read moreover 2 years. Anyway at the end of this summer, Logan starts kindergarten and I am so thankful to Just Imagine for morphing his education while his parentals have to work. We are young parents, so it has taken longer to get all the ducks in a row of our life and for a while we were bouncing around jobs, apartments, and daycares. In the last 4 years we found a home we have been in since 2012 - which is a blessing. It took us a while to find the perfect preschool and now here we are. The structure is amazing. The whole entire school is decorated and matches the learning and fun that each child gets to experience every day. He has grown through a couple classrooms and has made friends, knows his colors, the alphabet and can count to 20. They go outside every day and have a daily schedule visible for parents to see and understand. They do field trips to the movies and the splash pad, and allow the teachers the freedom and flexibility to develop curriculum, get to know the parents, and also know things about the students. I am so appreciative that they get to know them on a personal level and I am so happy to trust them with my child while I get through the workweek. A very communicative staff, an amazing and understanding owner, and a brilliant amount of potential all in one.

I sent my three-year-old to this daycare, and at first, they seemed very friendly and good, but…read moreactually, they are not really. In the morning, I went to the daycare to drop my son, and the daycare was closed; the door left no information, or no one called or emailed me. I was about to go to work after I dropped him off. Then I retake him the next four days. However, they were still closed. Finally, I found one number posted by the door for a personal business announcement. I called, and it was one of the staff's phone numbers, and she told me that the daycare is temporarily closed for an unknown reason and they don't know the time they will open. I didn't go to work for more than a week. After that, I decided to keep my kids home until I found good daycare. I lost my work schedule because of them. Moms do not take your kids there. They don't care at all. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Our son is in the Pre-K class with Miss Amy and Miss Amanda, and they are both incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely invested in the kids. One thing that really stands out about Kinder-Magic is how much they prioritize the emotional wellbeing of each child as well as the classroom community. The teachers are very intentional about helping the kids feel safe, supported, and confident. Our son also attends the afternoon supplemental classes, where he may be with Miss Amy, Miss Amanda, Miss P, or Miss Bernadette, and he adores them all. Every teacher we've encountered has been warm, thoughtful, and clearly loves what they do. After trying a few other places before this, it's such a relief to finally feel like we found the right fit. Our son comes home happy and excited to tell us about his day, which says everything. We're so grateful we found Kinder-Magic. If you're looking for a nurturing, thoughtful preschool or kindergarten in the CDA area, this place is truly magic.

I was initially hesitant about daycare but these people really care about kids and doing awesome job! Can you pay less for an in-home daycare? Probably, but it's nice to know that they have a ton of resources available as well as experience. We love that there is someone who cooks meals for the kids. They have great communication. I love that even if there's a minor incident which happens when you have a toddler we get documentation and explanations of what happened and even photographs. All in all I feel like our child is safe here and we really appreciate all the staff who seek to build healthy relationships with the kids not just babysit them.

Be aware if you go to sign up , this place has no mercy for people who may be experiencing hard times ,

Mrs. Wheeler has a special gift for connecting with her students and teaching them in a way that they absolutely love learning. The school is heavily focused on reading, math, science and geography. The students grasp these subjects so well early on, because Mrs. Wheeler teaches them in a fun and engaging manner. Our child is now very well prepared for grade school. She has thrived here, and from speaking with other parents, her classmates have as well. Mrs. Wheeler challenges each student to their individual abilities, and sets them up for success. If you are seeking a well managed, safe, positive learning experience for pre-K/kindergarten, this is it!

Our oldest daughter (who is now 5 years old) had been going to WLPG since she was one year old…read more Finding this daycare was a blessing because her current daycare only looked after infants up until their first birthday. WLPG was just down the road from our house, & was very affordable when compared to other childcare centers. For the most part, our daughter's experience while attending WLPG was positive. However, the negative experiences unfortunately outweighed the good. One of the big issues we had was while we were potty training. We did it over the course of a four-day weekend, & were very explicit with our instructions when she returned to daycare. They were not unreasonable directions either. If she was exhibiting signs that she needed to go potty ("potty dance"), then take her to the toilet. I guess that their definition of "unreasonable" differs from ours because she was constantly coming home wet. What's interesting is that she would rarely ever have an accident at home. She quickly became adept at telling us she had to go. It was only at daycare where she had accidents. We had to talk to WLPG's owner, Nyla, multiple times about this frustration. This went nowhere. Nor did our conversations with staff members. When we picked her up from daycare to find that she had an accident again, we'd ask whoever was working in that room what happened. They never knew; it was always, "Well, I just recently got here & the morning teacher didn't mention anything." Apparently, no one ever talks to anyone. Then it turned to cell phones. Many of the teachers (teenage-early twenties girls) would constantly have their cellphones out instead of watching the children. Sometimes, our daughter would recant an example of how her teacher let her watch videos on her phone. Again, talks with Nyla that went nowhere. Some teachers also had personal visitors with them at daycare. These visitors (usually males, probably boyfriends) were mingling with our daughter as well as the other children. They were not staffed by WLPG so we never had any idea as to whether they were background checked. More conversations, no action. Now recently, we took her out of daycare while her Mom was on maternity leave with our newest baby girl. The expectation (which was clearly outlined prior to going on leave) was that she'd return to WLPG in July; the leave began in May. At the end of May, my wife went in to talk to Nyla about adding our baby to the daycare, but instead learned that WLPG was getting rid of their baby room. Not only that, they were also no longer accepting school-agers unless they had a sibling also going to WLPG. Nyla was going to allow our baby to attend up until the end of the year (which was when the baby room was officially closing). This should have also meant that our oldest would be able to stay through EOY, but Nyla explained that they were "...full for the summer." This means that Nyla actually GAVE AWAY our oldest's spot without first speaking with us. There was no room for confusion on their part with what the plan was. I officially collected my oldest girl's belongings today, & expressed my frustration to some of the staff members when they said they were going to miss her. Next month, she will begin attending daycare at Northeast Youth Center which is about the same price & included far more activities & development for her than WLPG ever did. We are very excited for this & can't wait to start. It's unfortunate that we had such a HORRIBLE experience with WLPG & their owner, Nyla. The way were treated at the end (& really throughout our daughter's time there) was ridiculous, uncalled for, & unprofessional. I would not recommend parents take their children to Where Little People Grow.
