New to the area so thought I'd give this place a shot. Came in for a beard trim with Tanya and…read morecouldn't be happier. Not only is the shop like how my dream man cave would be but the service I got was impeccable. Tanya was so great and the shop was very helpful in explaining their beard services (I'm new to facial hair btw so had no idea what questions to ask). Some of these bad reviews I'd take with a grain of salt, maybe rival salon owners lol. But MY experience there was nothing but enjoyable, and they have gained a new customer for sure.

All three times the wait was not too long, but I can tell you the wait is worth it. The stylists take their time when cutting to assure that they deliver what you ask for. They are a friendly team that knows what they are doing. Today, Sam was cutting my hair and he got it exactly how I want it. 1 all around the side and a little bit off the top to where I can comb it over. Got myself a haircut here for the first time as it's right down the road. Bad decision…read more First, nobody there spoke any English at all. Second, I show my barber (Victor) a picture of the haircut I wanted - What I ended up getting was completely different. Finally, the three barbers were yelling at each other the entire time and didn't communicate with their patrons at all. I would have tried to ask for them to redo the haircut a bit but didn't want to make the guy who had already been waiting over 45 minutes to wait longer. Overall, this place sucks - they charge $40 for a $10 - $20 haircut and the vibe makes you want to get up and leave halfway through.

Derrail was very professional and funny. It was my first time visiting Edge It Up Hair Studio. I…read morewas previously going to the busy shop on Drew (where only a couple of the barbers actually know how to cut, no names but is outrageously busy). I'm super picky about my haircuts, especially because it really angers me to pay someone for a service to only be disappointed in their work. It's not like you can just walk out on a barber because you didn't like their skills. Being from a big city you're spoiled with countless barbers that actually know what they're doing. Darrail started my service by asking several questions about the kind of cut I was looking for then finished and let me take a look. After telling him I wanted a little more cut off the sides he did exactly that and nothing more. He exceeded my expectations by his ability to take specific directions and execute perfectly. Darrail cut my hair exactly how I wanted. As an added bonus he's also a beast with the shears! This conveniently located barber shop( with plenty of parking) is top notch! I will continue to support them. It's very relieving when you can have confidence in your Barber! The shop is clean and it's not outrageously noisy like most other busy barbershops. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try. I can't speak for the other guys but I want to say they're just as good. I can't imagine Darrail not wanting equally skilled team. Thanks Darrail!
