I have…read moresituation that was several years ago and I would have thought, for the love of all pets, that they'd changed, but after reading some posts on Facebook and taking to some friends it's obvious they have not. I have no love for Green Meadows Veterinary Service because they took something very special from me and didn't care at all. I took a very special cat there once and paid every penny to my name just for them to let her die. It was not the fact that she passed away that shook me it was the lack of compassion and customer service. It was an emergency and I was treated as an inconvenience. I didn't tell them I was going to struggle to pay that was my secret. For the sake of my baby, I was going to sell everything I had and for all they knew I was a millionaire. So, money wasn't a factor (but shouldn't be anyway). They were just cold, indifferent, and uncaring of the fact I needed vet care ASAP. There was a suffering, yowling in pain animal right there and they acted like it was nothing. I was near histerics! They looked at her and told me to give her a pill and go home. As she laid on the floor swelling/filling with fluid from some feline disease, her skin stretched tighter than a snare drum, she yowled in pain. That's when I called them back and by this time I was crying, but go figure they were too busy to talk and I had to leave a message. A couple hours later they called and that's when they told me that what she had wasn't curable and she will keep going down hill until she died. WHY DID THEY TELL ME TO TAKE HER HOME?They were simply too busy for a euthanasia at that time and I needed to make an appointment.....AN APPOINTMENT SO SHE COULD SUFFER NEEDLESSLY! Apparently she was "just a cat"...... Thankfully she passed on her own a few hours into the night after suffering on the floor for over 15 hours. They was she looked at me.... In her eyes.... I felt like I had betrayed her I called to cancel the euthanasia and tell them she died no thanks to them. Did I get any sympathy? No! They even said "ok, have a nice day". I vowed that would be the last place I would EVER take my pet to again. I am so sorry for anyone's loss but I know your pain and know anyone feels about this practice. They have no business being a veterinarian. After my experience I wouldn't even let them work on a toy train.......

Called this place because I had found a very injured cat who had just been hit on the road and was…read moreobviously owned by someone, that needed immediate attention and this clinic was 5 minutes away, while the others are 25+minutes. They asked me if I was a current client after I told them the situation in distress and when I said I wasn't, they told me that I couldn't bring her there because I wasn't already a client but to drive 30 minutes to get her euthanized. Need veterinary clinics that care about animals instead of money.

Pet Lover's BEWARE!…read more DO NOT leave your pets at this facility. I left my pet there for 6 1/2 days (July 3, 2010 - July 10, 2010); he was pratically starved to death. They did not follow the specific directions given for feeding my deaf puppy (2 cups of dry food mixed with 1/2 can of wet food twice a day) and then treid to say I didn't supply enough food. I left enough food for 8 days; they NEVER fed him his dry food, only the wet food, 1 can a day (which was about 3/4 cup of food). He also was covered in dried urine the day I picked him up to take him home and they lost his bedding cover. I asked them if he was eating and they said he was and then I asked if they were mixing his dry food with the wet and she hesitated before she said yes. This hesitation was a dead give away they were not giving him his dry food. Also, the container I left with the dry food was still full with the same amount of food I left on the day I dropped him off. The owner showed no concern, nor did she care, after I contacted her regarding the letter I sent stating my concerns. All she said was I was trying to get out of paying. This is FAR from the truth. I am seeking legal action and have reported them to the VA BBB, VA Animal Control Association, and Massanutten Resorts (since they refer people there). I will never leave my pet here again! Worst experience of my life!

We had to wait for her to return from the store two days in a row. When we were to pick up our dog, we again had to wait for her because she doesn't open until 10 am and not only wouldn't she open a few minutes early so we could be on our way back to Maryland, we had to ask her to unlock her gate so we could get on her property. So unaccommodating...we won't be back.

Do NOT use Sara Lutz Pet Services for your dog walking/pet sitting needs. I never even got to the…read morepoint of having Sara or one of her walkers complete a service for my dog, Luna, because from my initial interaction with Sara, she exhibited nothing but unprofessionalism, disrespect, and dishonesty. I had heard from other people in my neighborhood that Sara herself was not a very reliable person (especially when it comes to communication) and that several of the walkers with her company were also unreliable, dishonest, and disrespectful in clients' homes, but she did have a couple 5-star reviews so I decided to give her a shot. I have since discovered that one of those 5-star reviews on Google is actually from her boyfriend (Zander L.), so is probably not a true or honest review of her services or company. My experience with Sara started with me asking her to explain some of the negative things I had heard about her and her company after she had confirmed all my requested services for the next 2 months. The issues brought to my attention were: (1) Sara is a poor communicator and you can never get ahold of her in a timely manner; (2) her walker Alex (or Alexandra as she is listed on your service confirmation emails) has actually been caught not only lying about the times she is at clients' homes completing services but has also been caught going through their drawers/cabinets/personal belongings and taking/using things in clients' homes for herself without asking first; and (3) some of her walkers treat clients' homes as their own and have caused significant damage to personal belongings, furniture, and walls with Sara refusing to message clients back after the damage has occurred. I never got any explanation for any of these encounters and in fact never even got an answer back from Sara to my initial email asking about these issues. I started cancelling my services about 5-6 days after initially sending the email and let Sara know that I would continue cancelling services until she had responded and I knew I could feel comfortable moving forward with her company. She sent me an email to my cancellation request saying that she was out of town starting that day and would return two days later, but then would respond to my initial email then. First of all, she had to send an email to tell me she couldn't respond to my initial email? That's laughable. However, her supposed return date and date of response came and went, and I still never received an email response from her. This is evidence that not only is Sara a poor communicator, but also blatantly dishonest since she told me I could expect a response from her upon her return and that response was never received. I cancelled a few more services and sent 2 more follow-up emails asking her to please email me back so I could decide if her company was a good fit for my pup and our needs. She still has never responded, so I have cancelled all remaining services and will be looking elsewhere for my dog walking needs. Everything that everyone has said about Sara being unreliable, unprofessional, and an extremely poor communicator has remained true for me. If you can't even get ahold of her when you're scheduled to have close to $5,000 worth of pet services completed with her company, imagine trying to get ahold of her in an emergency. Save yourself a headache and a lot of frustration and do not support Sara Lutz Pet Services. So far Sammy's Dog Walking in the Charlottesville area seems to be far more reliable and professional and much easier to get ahold of.
