Upon pickup, we were given a bill for two nights and referred to a line on their website (that we'd never visited) that states pickup must be by 1pm or they charge another day. While this is a good policy, it needed to be communicated before-the-fact. Owner was rather smug about it, and I left feeling very ripped off. (we would have picked our dogs up before lunch instead of after if we had been told of their policy before-hand). Made me wonder if they were hard-up for business. Other than that, the runs were clean and moderate sized and our two dogs were in decent spirits and good condition when we picked them up.

We have our three dogs groomed here every quarter and love the outcome and price. They remember what we like having done on our dogs and are quick to recommend any changes due to the weather. The groomers and front staff really seem to enjoy their jobs and working with the dogs. Even when they appear busy, they still manage to have our three dogs ready within 3-4 hours after drop off and always call 30 mins before they are ready, allowing us the perfect amount of time to drive out there to pick them up! They also allow us to tip their workers via credit/debit, saving us a trip to the ATM!

This is a vet practice that has no business giving medical attention to our babies. I have…read moresituation that was several years ago and I would have thought, for the love of all pets, that they'd changed, but after reading some posts on Facebook and taking to some friends it's obvious they have not. I have no love for Green Meadows Veterinary Service because they took something very special from me and didn't care at all. I took a very special cat there once and paid every penny to my name just for them to let her die. It was not the fact that she passed away that shook me it was the lack of compassion and customer service. It was an emergency and I was treated as an inconvenience. I didn't tell them I was going to struggle to pay that was my secret. For the sake of my baby, I was going to sell everything I had and for all they knew I was a millionaire. So, money wasn't a factor (but shouldn't be anyway). They were just cold, indifferent, and uncaring of the fact I needed vet care ASAP. There was a suffering, yowling in pain animal right there and they acted like it was nothing. I was near histerics! They looked at her and told me to give her a pill and go home. As she laid on the floor swelling/filling with fluid from some feline disease, her skin stretched tighter than a snare drum, she yowled in pain. That's when I called them back and by this time I was crying, but go figure they were too busy to talk and I had to leave a message. A couple hours later they called and that's when they told me that what she had wasn't curable and she will keep going down hill until she died. WHY DID THEY TELL ME TO TAKE HER HOME?They were simply too busy for a euthanasia at that time and I needed to make an appointment.....AN APPOINTMENT SO SHE COULD SUFFER NEEDLESSLY! Apparently she was "just a cat"...... Thankfully she passed on her own a few hours into the night after suffering on the floor for over 15 hours. They was she looked at me.... In her eyes.... I felt like I had betrayed her I called to cancel the euthanasia and tell them she died no thanks to them. Did I get any sympathy? No! They even said "ok, have a nice day". I vowed that would be the last place I would EVER take my pet to again. I am so sorry for anyone's loss but I know your pain and know anyone feels about this practice. They have no business being a veterinarian. After my experience I wouldn't even let them work on a toy train.......

I just got my puppy Coby back yesterday but have already seen incredible changes to his behavior…read moreand tendencies. He is a year and a half old and full of energy. This resulted in a lot of unnecessary jumping on guests upon arrival to my home, charging at dogs while navigating the hallways of my apartments, and uncontrollable leash pulling in almost every setting. When he was set on something, it was very hard to get him to listen to me and follow basic directions. I honestly felt helpless. That's when I met Jake and the Skyline team. Coby spent 3 weeks with them and I can truly say I am already blown away with the progress and future potential for me and Coby. The biggest changes to his habits are his ability to walk on a leash without pulling, he now naturally keeps a loose leash and walks closer to my side without even being in a tight command. He listens on command when I need him to not hyper fixate on a smell or dog and keeps his calm around other dogs and people. He is also fully off leash trained now where (with some coaching) can successfully walk without a leash, pass other dogs and people, and recall back to me when needed. The last big piece is his ability to remain calm and place when I need him to (going to restaurants, talking to someone on the street with another dog, having people over). He can now be perfectly happy when out and about without jumping all over people. The program itself, specifically Jake, was absolutely seamless. They do such phenomenal job with communication and updates throughout the weeks and keeping your dog comfortable. Coby was a little shy/dependent on me and my family going into this but Jake and his family made him feel right at home. Jake went out of his way to make sure Coby was taken care of and that I was kept informed on progress. You can take Jake genuinely loves what he does and training dogs, and it shows! We will 100% be using Skyline for future dog trainings and have already been recommending this service to other dog owners in the area. Ask for Jake if you can!

Pet Lover's BEWARE!…read more DO NOT leave your pets at this facility. I left my pet there for 6 1/2 days (July 3, 2010 - July 10, 2010); he was pratically starved to death. They did not follow the specific directions given for feeding my deaf puppy (2 cups of dry food mixed with 1/2 can of wet food twice a day) and then treid to say I didn't supply enough food. I left enough food for 8 days; they NEVER fed him his dry food, only the wet food, 1 can a day (which was about 3/4 cup of food). He also was covered in dried urine the day I picked him up to take him home and they lost his bedding cover. I asked them if he was eating and they said he was and then I asked if they were mixing his dry food with the wet and she hesitated before she said yes. This hesitation was a dead give away they were not giving him his dry food. Also, the container I left with the dry food was still full with the same amount of food I left on the day I dropped him off. The owner showed no concern, nor did she care, after I contacted her regarding the letter I sent stating my concerns. All she said was I was trying to get out of paying. This is FAR from the truth. I am seeking legal action and have reported them to the VA BBB, VA Animal Control Association, and Massanutten Resorts (since they refer people there). I will never leave my pet here again! Worst experience of my life!

We had to wait for her to return from the store two days in a row. When we were to pick up our dog, we again had to wait for her because she doesn't open until 10 am and not only wouldn't she open a few minutes early so we could be on our way back to Maryland, we had to ask her to unlock her gate so we could get on her property. Our dog turned out to be anything but. He was so high strung that he would take us off our feet while walking him, didn't obey commands after repeated training, and was overly energetic. He was so strong that he ended up breaking bones in my hand because he couldn't control his impulses. Because we're older, we toyed with the idea of rehoming him to a more suitable situation but we've never done that to a pet and so we desperately sought other solutions. We ended up with Ridgeside K9 because of their 3 week board and train program. This would be our last ditch effort to try and keep our sweet boy. We didn't know what to expect but we were cautiously optimistic. The results of his training with Ridgeside has been nothing less than astounding! It has far exceeded our expectations. Trent has done an amazing job, so much so that we feel we have a new dog. Our dog is so much calmer and thus so are we. No more worries about him taking off or taking us off our feet.
