And Nana loves the fact that I have a safe option to drop the little munchins off when I have errands to run and need to get them done quickly and without 8 extra sets of hands and feet to manage. Darlene and her staff are phenomenal with the kids. They have a low teacher/child staff ratio and plenty of options for all ages. My 11 year old granddaughter loves the creative center and the 3 and 4 years olds have enough toys to jump on, ride and climb on to be sure to nap all the way home! I absolutely LOVE Kiddin' Around Drop in Childcare and HIGHLY recommend them. My son and daughter in law are now using them for after school drop off for 2 of the kids too. Great location. Great space. Great option for High Point. Thanks guys!

I started at this center May 8th 2017 as a lead infant teacher (infant A class). I was excited…read moreabout working here but there was times I did have doubts about this place. I didn't think anything of it but my students was amazing and the parents was the best. I really had some great parents that I loved and their children I cherish like they were my own. Like it's really hard for me to tell how I feel but when you have people that lie and tell things that wasn't true, you should have done more investigation. Not assumed. This place do more gossip than anything about parents and staffs, and talk down about their other childcare center in Clemmons. I might be upset how they handled my situation but at the end of the day you lied on me. You try to make yourself feel good about the situation. I have also noticed that some of the current employees have been complaining about the administrators and how they handle business in the workplace. To my knowledge and observation they mistreat those children. They let the children go home with dirty clothing, running noses, they allow children to bite on one another, its ways to prevent that. They are too rough with these children, I have gave another teacher the DSS number to call because some of her children was being mistreated physically. To me a childcare is a place that children and parents can feel safe and not worry about their children. When I started at this center, the teacher before me was nasty and didn't clean up right at all. Both infant A and B was nasty and infant B is still nasty!. Some of those rooms are just nasty and they don't clean their toys right either. That's why some of those children always go home sick but not my students. I made that class look great and I kept my students clean and most of my parents satisfied with the learning skills I taught their children. I have cleaned up a few children in the toddler class and infant B class as well because their lack of care for these children. I have seen the people they hire at this childcare center they only doing it for the money, they don't care for these children because if they did, they would have more control of handling them with care. My personal experiences was great at first but these past two days was unblieveable. Lies, Lies, and Lies and that's something I don't tolerate if you have to come up with lies to make yourself feel good and your job go smooth then be my guess, but at the end of the day like I told them before they sent me out; WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! Honestly I wouldn't perfer any children to come to this place because they hide the truth. Now I see why parents go off on administrators and some of the teachers as well. I had one parent that wasn't agreeing with my standard or the centers either and she took her son out and which I understood, all she wanted was a babysitter and that's not what I offer my past students. I teach them not babysit! So in conlusion, if you want care for your children make sure you look into their toys asked them how they clean their toys and spraying sanitize isn't how you clean toys right. It's a process you have to do; hot water, soapy water, rinses off, than spray sanitizer and let it air dry. Ask them do they wash their hands. All the children have to wash their hands from infants and up. Ask them do they teach them because that's very important. I wouldn't even bring my infant to that childcare after me I shouldn't have to train anyone to clean up toys or treat the infants they should already know their job duties. God has the upper hand in my situation and I will recover but they can't get away of how they treated me as a co worker. God bless you all and Good Luck!

I always felt comfortable leaving my child there. I've recommend this place to many, many folks. The staff has changed a lot in the past couple years. I've had some experiences with the new staff which have been less than pleasant recently. I had to ask one of the ladies please at least say hello to my son before spouting rules with the expectation of difficult behavior before he even walks in the door. This staff member left my child in, unattended, time out for so long he picked apart the chair she had set him in while she was busy changing diapers and feeding the small ones. She made me pay for the chair. I asked how many children they had thay day. She said 15 with 2 adults who where attending children and one who was stuck at the desk checking people in and out. I should have never went back. But, we had such good experience for so long I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Another staff member in particular, has been rude and disrespectful to both me and my child on more than one occasion before today. I have also observed her yelling at other children from the desk where she takes an unnecessarily long amount of time to check parents out, leaving the children to do what they will. In my experience she has taken 10 or more minutes to check me out while small children are left unattended, only to be yelled out from outside the room to stop doing whatever dangerous thing they are about to do, jump from a high toy or pieces of future, tackle another child, ect. Today she called me to come pick up my son because he was wrestling with another boy and it got out of hand. She admitted she was at the desk while this incident occurred. She also let me know the only other staff members who was there with the, at least 12+ small children, had been busy changing diapers. When I told her I felt the establishment was under staffed and leaving my 6 year old alone with a pile of other children was inappropriate and dangerous she told me "well dont bring him back" then proceeded to YELL at me in front of the children telling me I need to "do some parenting". I believe this woman is ill equipped to work with the public at all let alone small children. She is slow and is in visibly poor health, and appears to be medicated, which understandably makes her grumpy, however the neglect of the children and borderline abusive behavior from this person is not understandable and will not be forgotten. I will not be using this server ever again and neither should you.

As she gets older it has become increasingly difficult to take her out to dinner with us, or even take her along to run errands. So, I found this drop off day care center across the street from Hanes mall which has really worked well for us. We've only used it twice (date nights for Valentine's day, and our anniversary), but we've been extremely pleased with the care our daughter has received. She has not cried either time when we dropped her off, which to me indicates that it is a very child friendly place where kids don't mind being. I'm not sure if it's busier during the earlier hours of the day, but when I dropped her off both times in the evening there were only a couple other children there. So, I decided to put some positive energy out there for this business so that more people use it, and so that (self-servingly), we can continue using it. This is a great place to use if: You work at or near the mall, and/or have a schedule that is not your typical 9:00-5:00, your regular day care is closed on a day that you still have to go to work, you want to run some errands around town and don't want to drag the kids along (I've decided that dragging kids around town borders on child and/or parent abuse depending on how you view the world), or you just want to go out to a nice restaurant with your significant other. The hours are: Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 10 PM Friday - Saturday 9 AM -12 PM The cost is: A one time registration fee of $20 $6/hour (very reasonable) Other info: There is no need to call ahead (but it might help the daycare if you do). You bring the food and snacks.
