Derek was a stand up man called him to get an estimate on fixing my garage door but he was booked out til next month. Even though he was booked out while on the call with him I asked him many questions about my garage door and he helped me diagnose the problem on the phone. With his detailed instructions I managed to solve the issue on my own and for that I thank you Derek, what a great guy! I highly recommend them. read more

My garage door opener wouldn't open the door. I noticed that a spring was broken and assumed that was the problem. I called A & Em and was able to talk to Derek. He was very patient and said he would arrange to come by within noon to 1:30 the same day. He was very prompt and professional but also very friendly and personable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained the options available and the costs involved. We agreed on the repairs and costs. Derek had the job done within an hour and made sure it was working smoothly. He answered all of my questions before leaving and encouraged us to call if we had any more questions or problems. I will call Derek anytime I have garage door concerns. I give him my strongest endorsement and urge anyone with a garage door problem to call A & Em! read more

Service was same day. Very informative and helpful and the job was done to my satisfaction. I definitely would recommend A & Em

Our old garage door quit working, so I looked on YELP to find a reputable repair company. A and 'Em had all reviews, so I was fairly confidant when I called him. Derek came over the next day to give the diagnosis and repair estimate. Our spring had broken and was an unusual size, it being so old. So, he said he could get one and repair within a few days. We took the opportunity to also have an automatic garage door opener installed. I would give him 6 stars if I could! Very happy with the service, cost and quality of work! Thank you, Derek! read more

Tried to talk to them about a problem with a LiftMaster gate operator. They basically said they weren't interested in when I asked them if they had a recommendation for somebody to help they were unhelpful. I won't call them again read more

We had a very pleasant and professional experience with Derek at A and EM Garage doors. He responded quickly to our request for an estimate. First by phone to inquire about our needs and second, by coming out to speak with us about what we were looking for and taking measurements. Derek provided an accurate estimate and installed the doors on time. He was able to get the the window inserts that we wanted and performed quality work. All said and done, it took approximately 10 days from estimate to installation. I highly recommend him and would work with him again in the future. read more

6 out of 5 stars. Never met Derek (owner of company) until he returned a message on his web page on a Sunday at 815 AM. At 10 am Derek was at my home and performed an excellent job. Super professional. You can't go wrong. Support A and Em Garage doors. I thought customer service of his sort was pretty much gone from society, especially in the home repair industry. read more

Derek did a fabulous job a year ago recommending and installing a new garage door in my Mom's home. My mom noticed it was sounding different and requested a service call. Dereck responded quickly and came by to check on the door. My Mom just sent a text that Derek was by as scheduled and everything is great. Great person to work with! read more

Our garage door was having issues in closing completely on occasion and was very frustrating. Contacted Derek for service and arrived the next day as promised and on time. We had him replace the rollers as they were obviously worn, serviced the door and opener and lubricated door, adjusted springs and opener. He was fast, efficient and friendly. Derek answered the phone right away, was easy to communicate with, and stuck to his quote. He arrived as scheduled to diagnosis the problem and to get the parts we needed ordered. Seeing as it was a holiday, we did have to wait a week for the parts to come in but that is not Derek's fault and he was clear about how long it would take. He had our new garage door opener installed and working within two hours. I wish working with all contractors would be this easy. Give the local Chico family man a try. You won't regret it. read more
