When comparing quotes, also compare the equipment used and quality and neatness of installation. I have people in my neighborhood who admired my pool and I told them who did it....They subsequently went with a cheaper source. A year later their pool is half done, not useable and their contractor has basically abandoned them half done with no cage and no pavers. Litigation followed... Cheaper isn't always better. That equates to 15 min pool service maintenance, 4 times per month or 1 hour worth of service for $120. Yes... chemicals... less than 1/3 that per month. Did my own for years. Is it worth $70/hour? Nahhhhh Don't even pay my accountant that much per hour. No recommended. Pool service is overrated. Be careful who you hire.

A couple months ago I needed a new filter system and chlorinator for my pool. While I could have…read moredone this myself, I am 76 years old with a bad back, so was willing to pay to have it done. After getting a couple bids, I contacted Tri-city to do the install. A few days later a Tech arrived. He cut out the old system and began the install. An hour or so later he has completed the job and needs for me to sign, but also needed to show me where there was a piece broke off the lid but functional. He said they would be out day after tomorrow. His boss ordered a new on and said they would be out in a couple of days to replace the broken lid. A month went by and no show so I called and was told they would be out in a couple days. Still no show. I called again and was told tomorrow and they did show up at that time. The system looked as if an amateur put it in. The pipe from the filter ran at a 30 degree angle downward because the filter sat higher than the old one. Instead of using an elbow, he just pushed it down to match up to the old pipe. Then, being crooked, the rest of the system did not fit right so again he forced the pipe into an angle to fit. Very ugly looking. About 2 months after install, two joints came apart due to being forced to an odd angle I repaired it as best I could and hoped for the best. Two days later it came apart again. After several emails and a couple phone calls, they refuse to come and repair their mess stating plumbing repairs were not there responsibility, even though the cut the pipe and installed the new fittings. The service manager promised returned calls that never happened. I went to Ace hardware and bought some parts and took the whole system out and replumbed it correctly, something I was trying to avoid because of my age and back issues. All this after I paid over $200 for labor and pipe fitting parts. I will never use them again nor do I recommend them.

As…read morea vendor, they called us with a very demanding attitude and when we refused to do business with them (because of the attitude), they (husband and wife) started yelling and cursing at me (even at each other telling each other to shut up as they were talking over each other). I had to end the call; they were out of control. He then proceeded to call and leave threatening voice-messages, stating that he was going to start a war with me. Very awkward interaction. Again, stay away from these individuals and their business.

The installers arrived on time, and went straight to work. The install was completed within the time quoted, which was important to me. I had scheduled our pool to be filled by another company. After filling it up, we discovered a small leak. I called the installer back, and the phone was answered promptly. The installer came back and discovered a defect in a part from the pool manufacturer which was caused the leak. He had a replacement part on his truck and immediately fixed it. Thank you for going above and beyond. We made an investment with our new pool purchase, and we wanted to make sure that it was installed properly. The cost to rent the tools needed to properly do this job, plus the time saved was well worth the cost of the install. I would highly recommend this company for your pool installation needs.
