His quote was mid-range compared with the other two, but I chose him not so much because of price, but because of his responsiveness and communication. Getting someone to call back is half the fight it seems, I appreciated his efforts to respond to me. When it came time to actually install the septic system Gianni and his crew were efficient and got the job done without any problems or holdups. I have since had to reach out to him twice with questions and he has responded promptly both times. I highly recommend.

I hired him…read moreto do both my foundation for my manufactured home as well as installing my new septic system. He did a beautiful job. From day one he was super responsive, gave me a lot of good advice, he was very patient answering all my question and explaining things, he stayed right on schedule which was so important because I had a deadline to meet with my construction loan. He also worked so easily with my other contractors. He even gave me a great referral for the electrician I hired. Always showed up when he said he'd show up. When I saw that he was actually hands on doing the job and worked so hard to do a great job, I knew I could trust that it was being done right. He passed the required inspections with flying colors. He seriously helped save my sanity through the construction process since I had never done anything like that before. I'm so appreciative and grateful!!! Contractors that are reliable, trustworthy, responsive, are good at what they do, and are professional like Gianni are worth their weight in gold.

The technician was friendly, professional and most importantly, Honest. I also showed the technician some spots in my basement where there some minor chalking on the wall near the basement floor and an area outside where I get some standing water near the house due to gutter overflow from second floor. I explained I never have any water flowing leaking in the basement. Technician assured me that my downspout drains and footer drains were working correctly since there is no water leaking. This is my review of Ron Holmes dba Avon Bay construction. I contracted with Ron in June of 2021…read moreto rebuild brick steps and to install a stamped concrete walkway. We were satisfied with his work on the steps. However, when he poured the concrete it rained. He should have known by the forecast that it was going to rain. He did not come prepared to protect the job. As a result the stamped concrete was terrible. The concrete was spalled in many places, it had pock marks from rain drops. Ron also tried to double stamp areas. We told him we were not satisfied and wanted it be ripped out and redone. His solution was to offer to do an overlayment. We did not feel that would last in Ohio winters and that it would fail. He then offered to redo if we paid him more money. He stopped communicating with us. I sued him in small claims court for the amount of money it cost us to hire another contractor. Ron never showed up to court. I presented my case including photos of the shoddy work and judgement was in my favor. Subsequently, Ron has ignored the courts request to show a financial statement and a motion to show in court. He currently has a Bench Warrant for his arrest in the City of Mentor. And I have learned that he has other warrants in the area. DO NOT HIRE HIM!

I do not recommend the Pattie Group. Clients do not meet directly with the landscape architects…read more Everything is channeled through a "designer." Ours didn't seem to know much about hardscaping, even less about masonry. They produced a decent landscape design, but the price was $1600! There are a plethora of local landscape architects that will create a plan for half that amount. We got out at $1600. Having met with three other design build companies, I realize that PG pricing is about double the going rate. The PG would have charged $78K for a full landscape; other local companies are coming in at $40-$50K.
