I was desperate in finding a lawn service company to take care of my overgrown lawn and many…read morecompanies were unresponsive. I called Blue Valley and Brett answered right away and I could tell was on a job too; he said he'd come by to give me an estimate. When I spoke with him I could tell he was a very upright type of guy and would also do a good job. He told me he had commercial mowers and wouldn't be able to get inside a 3 foot gate for a smaller area that needed mowing but the majority of my lawn could be accessed so I'd told him to come by and do the estimate anyway but that I'd call him back if I found someone else. I found another company that came out in the evening and I completely forgot to call him back. I was swamped with work but there is no excuse for me not calling him back. I added to his workload. Brett came by and saw my lawn was cut; he called me and spoke with me very professionally. There's no shadow of a doubt that I would call Blue Valley Lawn again to do any kind of lawn or landscaping type of work and expect the best.

But the very expensive tree the owner sold us struggled from the beginning and died within weeks. Other plants in the same bed thrived, so we were caring for them properly (following his instructions to the letter). When we contacted Elite, the owner informed us there was no warranty. Shame on us for not checking that out earlier, but shame on him for being terse and rude when we politely asked about the tree and what we could do. The guy that seemed so nice when selling the work was gone. This change in attitude was honestly just as disappointing as the dead tree. Next time we will look for a firm that offers a warranty. It may be worth a few dollars more to have that guarantee and peace of mind.
