Having my medical condition discussed out loud in a public waiting area made me feel extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed, and concerned about how my information is being handled. A gynecology office should be a safe and welcoming environment where women feel comfortable discussing sensitive health concerns without worrying about their privacy being compromised. I strongly encourage management to address this issue and ensure that front desk employees receive proper training on patient confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional communication. No patient should leave a medical appointment feeling as though their privacy was disregarded.

This is my third time going back to Hands of Hope physical Therapy and Wellness at Whitestone location. I have come here for both shoulders, then neck, and now knees. The staff work together as a team and the care is seamless. I especially appreciate and value the care from Jackie, the bestest physical therapist! She has seen me for all three occasions. Jackie is friendly, knowledgeable, and explains what's causing pain and how PT will decrease pain, strengthen the muscle, and increase mobility. The continuity of care is a game changer. I trust Jackie and know that in time, with hard work, my knees will get stronger, just as my shoulders and neck have gotten stronger. Office managers have changed a few times, but they have all provided timely, informative, and competent service. They now have extended hours compared to my last visit, which I appreciate. I'd like you to know that I've never received PT before and I've never been in a PT office. I've been coming here to receive physical therapy for a few weeks from Dr. Patrick. It's been a painful experience but I'm feeling much better (glad that it's over!). I've asked him so many questions during my treatment and he patiently answered every one of them. The staff have a great personality and they're very pleasant. I highly recommend getting your PT done here. Everyone here speaks English so don't worry if you see a lot of Korean elderly patients in the waiting room. The location is on the second floor of the plaza and you'll find parking through the Sanford Ave. entrance. Just the elevators and go up to the second floor (or use the stairs). As soon as you exit the elevators, the office will be right in front of you (to the left). It's a small physical therapy office. The rooms are small and have two beds in each that are separated by curtains. The rooms are separated by wall partitions. You might hear other patients but it didn't really bother me. What I like about this place besides the treatment I've received and the staff is that I was able to do walk ins or I would call to find out if they were busy or not. If they weren't, I would just drive over there since I only lived about 15 minutes away. They seem to be very busy during Wednesdays by the way. If you're like me, just avoid visiting on a Wednesday! It's best if you visit before 4pm. However, the best time for me seemed to be 3-3:30pm. Luckily, they accept my insurance, and I was able to get an appointment the following week. I've only been going a few weeks but I am shocked at how much I have improved. Everyone is very attentive and professional. I would recommend Queens Wellness to anyone. They are a shining example of good service and they actually care.

There are 9 curtain separated massage tables, in a pretty tightly squeezed in layout. And then there's a room for the doctor's office and an examination room that doubles as the staff lounge. Last week was my first visit, I was asked to bring my insurance card, photo ID and any previous reports from imaging places. My appointment was 2:30pm and I came more than 15minutes early but I wasn't seen by anyone until almost 3pm. Dr. Tian did the intake her self and that was roughly 20minutes and then get evulated by physical therapist, so they can request approval with the insurance company (was informed it'll be 2-3days) Pro: They take credit cards and is only closed Fridays, so they are open on the weekends. (Update: I've been to this place for 3 sessions now and tried two massage therapists.) I've called the same day and got an appointment on the spot, and walked in once and was told to just come before 4:30pm the latest. My first session was with Mr.Zhang, he is thorough and massages the whole body. And he speaks minimal amount of English to communicate with you, amongst other languages (7) which he bragged about...with no fluency, but my main complaint was that he never checked if I could bare the pressure he was applying, so I went in with back pain and left the place with pain everywhere. My whole body felt tender and I was gripping the massage table for dear life and almost cried cause acupressure massages usually hurts when you have pain already and it's even more painful when they dont check what you can handle and just go at it how they want and would just tell you ...pain its cause its working... :( The front desk said they only have two guys that speaks English okay and one of them is Andy; whom I've had two sessions with. Andy is a very nice and friendly guy, who checked what pressure I can handle every step of the way... and made friendly chitchat here and there. Will make another point to try the second English speaking physical therapist and see if I can handle a session with him. :) And also FYI, if the doctor dont put down on your chart you should get ultrasound treatment or acupuncture, the staff wont do it just cause you ask; You must speak with the doctor for her to add it.
