They arrived. They were courteous, quick (40 min) and professional, and were able to patch up the tire after removing what turned out to be a valve cap. Then, when they double checked their work, they found another nail and took that one out for no additional charge! Extremely reasonable prices (~$30) definitely way cheaper than investing in a new tire if I'd gone to a dealer! Highly recommend, would definitely go back next time I get another flat!

You shouldn't tell mechanic jokes.............You auto know better!…read more If that terrible joke generated a small smile, visiting this great guy will make that smile gigantic! Arriving- It's a teeny tiny place fronting Main St. and next to Ace Hardware. It's about a minute from US route 27. Pro Tip- If you are going to be waiting, there are multiple restaurants and a great dive bar within walking distance. Just check Yelp. Ambience- Sorry, there isn't any. If that's what you're looking for, go elsewhere. Folks come here because they want quality work, priced fairly, and completed in a reasonable time. Customer Service- I've only ever interacted with the owner. This guy really knows his stuff! He's also darn good explaining the issues to folks that don't speak "Car." I've spoken with multiple happy customers who have specifically mentioned this! Services- He is a General Mechanic and is especially well known for resolving electrical issues. Conclusion- Because he's so small, he books up quick. Also, the last time I was there, payment was cash or check only. As long as you're not looking for fancy décor, come here for 5-star work and service!

They, alledgedly, according to the young lady up front, put a dye on it to check for leaks, they inspected it, and they recharged the a/c. Told me to come back if there was a problem or if the a/c lost power. One day and a half after seeing them I was out of a/c again. I went back, they couldn't find the problem or the leak. I took it to Sears Auto center. They did an underhood courtesy, checked for leaks, recharged the a/c and told me, and wrote it on the invoice, that NO DYE was detected from the previous repair location. In other words, that no dye had been placed there before within the same week because there was no trace of it. Today I called Ron's and got a rude response from the young lady up front.

Avoid this "business". This is for Tech Automotive, going by the name Rosco's Garage oddly enough…read more Asked for a quote to get O2 sensors replaced on the family car. Even though two in my fam are certified to fix cars, we do not have a rack to put the car up & do it ourselves, so we decided to request a quote & support a Sebring business. The owner Rosco, right away asked me to leave the car with them so they could take a look at it (day or more). I told him that I really just wanted a quote for the work first, and that I could not leave the car there, unless it was actually being worked on, and me there waiting for it. Rosco, without taking into account that I already deeply know things about my car, questioned whether we actually knew if the issue was an O2 sensor. After the push back I got from him, he agreed to look and give me a quote (had to really talk him into it...). So based on the VIN, he gave a quote that was simply egregious. He marked up the costs of the parts two to three times the original costs, and ultimately painted the whole job as being a difficult, difficult task. He did not realize that myself and several in my family had already researched the OEM parts, non-OEM parts, and even watched a half a dozen videos that show how easy it is to replace the parts, particularly if you have the car up on a rack. The sensors on the bottom require a simple socket extension...not tough at all. His comments to me were dripping with greed, degradation and pride as he was trying to rip me off. Any mechanic could do the job in less than an hour with the car lifted. There is no mystery in putting a socket wrench on a ratchet. Rosco was describing scenarios that would take the job well into over a $1K, when any mech could replace all 4 sensors for no more than $300 -$400. He must deal with a lot of folks that don't know how to use the internet, or the existence of YouTube that shows everything about everything. Please do not use or trust Rosco's Garage for anything. They are simply out to make you feel stupid, & drain your pockets, and I feel bad for the folks who work there (Josh).

-- Reputation is everything! -…read more I retired in this tiny town just over ten years ago and here are the things I hear about these fine folks- "God forbid if I ever needed another tow, I would call Macklin." "His employees are more friendly than the other shops in town." "I can get what I want done without that horrible upselling I get from other shops." "His prices are really fair." I could go on! Arriving- They are just off US Route 27 Southbound, very near all the Avon Park fast food places. If it's busy, park over to the left of the building. Ambience- The business has posted great photos, so I won't reinvent the wheel. The waiting room is basic and clean and most importantly, the chairs are comfortable. Customer Service- Solid as a rock! I blame the owner for his excellent hiring skills! Towing- 24/7, 365 days a year! Even if you're an impaired driver on New Year's Eve, these are your guys! Check their map on Yelp for the area they cover. Services- If it grinds or squeals or thunks or just plain fails, these guys will figure it out. Of course, they do regular service every X thousand miles. You know the deal. Pricing & Value- I'm like most folks.
