We had 3 estimates scheduled one of which was with Gilbert but I had to cancel due to health issues. Gilbert was kind on the phone when I cancelled. Once we were ready to have the floors done I made appointments with the 2 companies I had cancelled. Gilbert was the first to come to give an estimate. My husband and I were both impressed with his knowledge of his craft as well as his nice, friendly personality. We were sure we wanted Gilbert to do the work but I explained I felt obligated to allow the other company the opportunity to give an estimate. Today the floors were totally finished with 3 coats of oil based finish by Gilbert and his crew! They screened the floors between each coat! They vacuumed each time and left my home dustless! My floors look brand new and they are the original floors in my 30+ year old home. Gilbert got the job finished within 8 days of the estimate! The second company who came to my home the same day as Gilbert just emailed me the estimate today! Gilbert went above and beyond making my floors look new. There is a sill between my living room and an extension, Gilbert was not happy with the way it was originally installed, he had his crew rip the old sill out and replaced it with a new, wider sill at no charge! I have 2 steps going into my rec room which needed to be refinished, again he had his crew do that with no charge! It was a pleasure having Gilbert handle the refinishing/repair of our floors! He was easy to communicate with, he has a great sense of humor and was true to all he promised! We look forward to having Gilbert Floors refinish the rest of the house in the next few months!
